She glanced at him once he removed his mask, that glance turned into a stare as she took in his face. He had always been so cute, but she was too blinded by his nerd status to truly acknowledge that. Looking into his eyes, she sighed. She didn't really feel like giving details about what happened with Ryan and then what happened to Ryan.
"Well...I was dating Ryan if you remember. Everything was fine....in public anyway..." she began and then it all just started to pour out. It had been on her mind and heart so long, she was relieved to finally able to speak to someone.
"When we were alone...he always tried to force intimacy. I mean I was all game for fooling around, but when it came to the real thing, I just wasn't ready. I kept pushing and I continued blocking him. Eventually he took matters into his own hands." she paused to take a breath as the words started to get heavier on her tongue as she grew closer to spilling the secret.
"We went to a party...and he gave me a drink...after that...I don't remember anything that happened that night. I woke up the next morning in his bed nude...and there was blood on the sheets..."

He had always heard from people that there were days when it was all you could do to keep your code of ethics as a masked hero. He never believed them, figured it was always someone you didn't know or something like that. Hearing her words, he thought he was keeping the rage within, but his eye's darkened from their usual jovial brown, to almost midnight black. He never noticed when he clenched his hands into tight fists, or when his back go so rigid. When she finished telling him what had happened to her he thought he had kept the calm facade that was usually his whole detachment, but in honest his body was vibrating. It took him a second to recognize what this was that gripped him so tightly and refused to let go of him. Something he thought that was an excuse people came up with to excuse themselves of the crime they committed. Yet, for the first time in his young life, Ben aka Spiderman was in a killing rage.
"Did you go to the police?"

Felicia slowly shook her head no to Ben's question. Remembering that morning, she was so horrified, she wouldn't have the motorskills and logic to have called up the cops. She was embarrassed at what happened. Had she told the police and Ryan was arrested , rumors would spread like wild fire through the school.
"If I did that, people would talk...something I didn't want to happen. So...I...plotted to kill him. The same time, I was changing. These..." she raised her hand and extended her claws full length to show him. "And other stiff...I'm not normal anymore. But that's not the point...well it is, because it's partly the reason I ran away. I can't tell my mom I'm some kind of freak show."

"What happened to Ryan? Did you kill him Felicia?" He was praying that she hadn't cause he had the odd reaction of wanting to see how well the guy did against Nerdy Ben Parker's fist. For the first time he planned on using his spider gifts as Ben. Looking at Felicia he still didn't know that his body wasn't responding to his commands to stay calm, in his mind he was. "You can stay with me.....damn I'm at that school." Growling a bit he had just about gotten his own apartment in New York, but then the whole thing happened. "You are not a freak Felicia, you are a normal person with abnormal gifts, just like me." He looked at her and wanted her to believe it. There were days he didn't believe the Professor's thoughts, but then there were days he really hoped that they were for real.
Reaching out he wrapped her up in his arms trying to make her feel safe at least around him, but he also never closed his hands, letting her know she could step back out if she needed to.

"I...that's where it gets fuzzy. The night I went to go finish him off, he was killed when his car exploded. Which was odd because All he did was turn on the car and it went up in flames. I felt some kind of force when it happened though...and it's been with me since that night. Every time I get mad, annoyed, threatened by someone, bad things happen. Kind of like how that roof that collapsed under you back there. That's another reason I left home. My mother and I got in and argument, I lost my temper and she was almost crushed when a chandelier fell from our ceiling. I had to leave.." she sighed as he took her into his arms and she hugged him back.
"I'm scared, Peter. I don't know whats wrong with me and why it's happening. Abnormal gifts or not, it's made my life more miserable than better."

He thought about it for a while, and it struck him pretty quickly. At least the science of it. The car explosion, the chandelier falling almost crushing her mother, and then the roof top with him. She had the ability of bad luck for others. Much akin to the old wives tail of the black cat. Looking at her he raised her head slowly to look at him. "Listen Felicia, the explosion wasn't your fault, but not cause you didn't cause it. You didn't have control yet, and I don't know if you ever really will until you learn to control yourself. If I figured this right your powers are like the myth of the black cat. Would explain why my spider senses were going off on that rooftop before." He looked at her, and hoped he could help her in more than just this.
"Listen Felicia there is nothing to be afraid of you just have to learn how to control your emotions." He knew it was easier said then done, but he had a feeling that Felicia could handle it.

"I'm bad luck?" she asked looking back up at him. That was just perfect. If what he said was true then she did kill Ryan and almost killed her mother. He said there was nothing to be afraid of, but she had to be afraid of her own self.
"You have to stay away from me then. I couldn't forgive myself if you git hurt or worse because of me." she told him. If her emotions were what triggered her powers, her time of the month were going to be pretty chaotic.

He shook his head slowly as he pulled her back to him. "You aren't going any where Cat until I figure this out better, I think your emotions are what causes your powers to kick in, and it would make a certain amount of sense. Yet, I can't be right all the time." He shook his head as he looked at her and sighed. "Cat part of my powers is an early warning system, when I pay attention to it, I generally have more then enough time to get out of the way." He chuckled as he looked at her, and flipped them both off the cracking portion of the roof. "And I think you need to calm down a bit Cat or your going to cause a lot of property damage."

"Ben..." she sighed wrapping her arms around him and huddling up closer. What he said did make sense...as long as she controlled her emotions, they should be fine. However that was easier said than done. For his sake she would try. Especially since he just saved her from the collapsing roof.
"I'm..." she sighed and then looked up at him. "I'm sorry. I just don't want to harm you. Thank you for caring though." she smiled looking up at him and leaning her forehead against his. "I appreciate it."

Looking at her he sighed softly, he could feel the lost radiating off her and knew the feeling all too well. So he decided he would have to do something. "Don't worry, I'm right here." He fired a web line above them and yanked them both off the rooftop and he held her there for a while before web swinging them away from the local Police Station. Dropping down on a edge he sighed holding her in his lap as he sat down. Things were weird first he started chasing down a thief and now had an old friend in his arms. One that he was wanting to have in his arms all through his civilian high school career. But he felt no real victory in this now. If only things had worked out right for him back then, he might have been able to do something about this before it started.

Felicia remained silent contemplating what she was going to do. She rather not dwell on what had happened to her, although it was seriously affecting how she was feeling right now. All the negativity that had been consuming her from the inside and breaching it's way towards the outside. She felt like she was going to break, though having Peter there was keeping her together.
He was the first person she opened up about what happened to her. Instead of judging her, he took her in his arms and comforted her. To let her know she wasn't alone and that she didn't have to deal with what happened by herself. In his lap, Felicia sighed looking out over the city and then up at the moon, and her eyes settling down on Peter's. "..." she gave him a light kiss on the lips and pulled back.

He kinda blinked for a second after she kissed him. He didn't want to shake his head in case it gave her the wrong impression, but he was in extreme need to actually get his head into the situation. She confessed a lot of bad things that happened to her and might have been caused by her. He had done the right thing in helping a friend, and that was all that mattered, there was no way anyone could put her ability to murder, it would have to go down as an accidental death. So there wouldn't be any murder charges against her. That pretty much covered the hows and whys, but it doesn't even touch the damage caused to the who.
She seemed so much stronger than she was before, at least in her physical capabilities, but if you listened to her and watched her. She seemed so much more timid than before, as if she only wanted to let people see a shell of her, former self, or at least the one that he knew. The Felicia that he knew couldn't be touched or bothered with the small things, but generally was nice enough to the normal folk. Now, she seemed like she lost something that was key to her being Felicia. It took him a minute to try and pinpoint what he thought she might be missing, and oddly enough it was her confidence in herself. Then again he couldn't blame her to question everything again. Not with what the jerk had done to her.
Hugging her softly he wasn't sure what to say, or how to help her. Heck, he punched, kicked, swung, crawled and zipped. That's how he helped people, he was never there for the aftermath so for the moment, he felt a bit lacking. "I wish there was something I could do or say to make this all better for you Felicia, but I don't have words that can fix this. Just know I'm here when ever you need to talk." Pulling out a small spider shaped something he dropped it into her hand. "If you ever need to talk to me or need me for anything, just push the body of that spider. I'll know how to find you from there."

She smiled closing her eyes as he spoke to her. It was obvious that he had changed, not only physically, but his mentality too. Or maybe she was so busy being a snob queen that she never paid him that much attention and she didn't realize how sweet he really was. It made her feel even more awful and she continued to smile through it and accepted his little spider signal graciously.
"Thank you." she tucked it away inside her glove and leaned back on him. She began to think about what her next course of action was going to be. Continuing her string of burglaries to keep surviving on her own, or to go back to her mother and spill the secret about her powers. Well...maybe just the cat abilities. As for her other powers, it was like Ben said. She's have to keep her emotions in check. Guess that meant she'd have to keep herself locked up during that time of the month.

Looking at the top of her head he kept his mind on the business at hand. Not the fact that she never re-zipped up that cat suit of her's so he had a clear view if he just tipped his head to the......oh crap he caught himself before he did that. He closed his eyes and kissed her on the forehead softly. "thank you for trusting in me enough Felicia, and thank you for teaching me another lesson." He wasn't sure if he could explain it so he just left it at that. He wanted her to understand that there were things that could and would happen, but there were people willing to fight the good fight for a friend. And if he kept using the street name of his he kinda fell into that category. Hell, he still smiled when that kid called him 'Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man' for the first time.
