It had been a while since Carol Danvers had been around the hustle and bustle of the New York City streets. Yet, she wasn't actually walking around on the ground, no, she was high in the air, skimming alongside buildings. She wore her personal little get-up, or costume, that was made for her by a certain person by at Xavier's. It was different to the get-ups the X-men usually wore; which gave her a distinct feeling of pride that she was set apart from the rest. Her face covered by a black mask, she flew high above the air as her eyes scanned the life below.
The few people that were out and about at this time looked up and began pointing to her. She rolled her eyes slightly as she knew exactly what they would be saying. Hell, she didn't care. She felt as though Mutants needed to clear their names and what better way to clear their names than to be a Good Samritan...or a superhero. Yeah, the latter sound way more kick-ass. Ms. Marvel was out and about, and that meant hell for any criminals. She flew up to a rather moderately high rooftop and landed, crouched down by the edge of the balcony, staring like a gargoyle statue.

Thinking as he was swinging through his city he wasn't watching for anything happening. He had a lot on his mind, and most of it based on that belt he wore. He was not used to having to answer for his night time excursions, but what was he supposed to do, sit back and let his city fall apart. The people knew him, and he was one of them. Not like these other groups showing up, he didn't care about the world, he cared about New York. Landing on a building he noticed an instructor from the academy, and wasn't sure if he wanted to groan or not. Either way he figured he should at least stop and say hi.
Landing on the ledge behind her he made his way trying to remember what her name was, but wasn't sure if he did. He knew she wasn't one of his instructors since he spent most of his time in Sage's class. "Hi Ms Marvel" He hoped he got that right, but he wasn't caught up on the names of all of them lately.

Spidey's landing made Ms. Marvel slightly jump in both shock and feeling of threat. She was in a deep train of thought and to be wrenched out of it by external events was a tad discomforting. Turning around to face Spidey, she narrowed her eyebrows. This was one of the guys from school. Who was it? Perker...Walker...Parker! That's the one! Carol recieved so many new briefings of new students everyday that she almost lost track of everyone and their names and powers. Smiling faintly to Spiderman, she nodded. "Hey, Webhead. Suprised you knew who I was." It was true, she had only been going out and about for a couple of days now. Spiderman, on the other hand, was a known figure throughout New York; and was constantly scrutinized by people like J. Jonah Jameson. Infact, she pulled out from behind her the front cover of the newspaper, The Daily Bugle, with Spidey on the front and a picture of another costumed woman with slightly silverish hair and black leather. "Not as well known as you, of course."

Shaking his head at the picture he wanted to groan a bit. "Not one of my better nights. Don't worry you will be sooner or later." Dropping down next to her he watched the streets below. "Quiet night, love the nights like this, makes it a lot easier to remember why I do this." He watched the people below and chuckled a bit. He couldn't believe that there were instructors that had less time in the field then him, but then again he was known in New York, and not really any where else. Wondering what was going on in his city wasn't something he liked very much, but Sage was right the school was great for his mind.
"I'm actually thinking of dropping out of Xavier's." He knew it was a bit of a bomb, but he needed to talk to someone why not an instructor.

Smirking, she refrained from mentioning the little thing about someone seeing Spidey with his 'barrel' pointing from his pants. He probably did not need to, or want to, hear about that. "Yeah, well, at least you get some publicity; not to mention the fangirls." She snickered as she pointed to Black Cat's picture. Her eyes drifted down to the city below, and despite the noise of cars and machines, it was still considered peaceful. She smiled faintly before speaking again. "I respect that you're so determined to protect the city." When he mentioned leaving Xavier's, Ms. Marvel made no visible reaction. She knew of people wanting to leave everyday, but never actually going through with it when it came to go time. She took a few moments to collect her mature thoughts and at least pass on some adivce. "You've got a gift, kid. Don't forget that; as long as you use it for the good of other people, you go wherever you want to."

"It's not that I want to leave the school, but I always feel guilty when I stare out my window and see the lights of New York and know I'm not here helping to keep the people safe. Once in a blue moon I can get out here, but not like when I lived here." He sighed softly and thought about what she said. "You know, I think you got a bum rap with your reputation. Most of the other guy's just think your eye candy." Shrugs a bit as he thought about it and was kinda happy she didn't mention the photo, but he did have an argument about that.
Looking down he smiles when he notices people going about their lives, spotting someone he knew he fires a web line down in front of the guy and chuckles as he moves around a couple. "Hank McCord, petty thief, mostly purse snatching. I've busted him so many times that if he even see's a hint of webbing he walks away."

With the mention of her reputation, there was a slight smirk before she showed a rather thankful look through her eyes. "You should hear the other names I get." She didn't exactly want to actually mention them, as she knew one of them was particularly bad. She didn't even know how the hell those people found out about her and the other...guy. Nonetheless, it was nice to have a bit of support coming from some male students who didn't just view her as a blonde bombshell. Watching Spidey shoot a webline down in front of the guy, she smirked at how he happened to know exactly who the guy was and how his statement regarding the web came true. "No kidding, huh?" From the distance, sirens began to echo through the air as police cars rocketed down the street in pursuit of two black cars. Both cars had passengers with submachine guns ready to shoot off any vigilanties in the area. "Your cue?"

With the sound of the sirens he had already fired off a web line and was standing on the edge. "Of course otherwise they would take my superhero license from me." He chuckled a bit as he rolled his neck before springing off the rooftop, well almost. He stopped himself and got a bit of an idea. "Why don't you ride shotgun on this one Ms Marvel? Get your name out to the people of New York, and maybe do some damage control at Xaviers." He sprang off the edge now and started moving through the city. As he moved he chuckled a bit most people ran from the sirens, but here he was moving right to it.
Didn't take him long to figure out who these guys worked for and chuckled a bit. "Watch out for the guy in the driver's seat Ms. Marvel, if he gets out of the car he kinda reminds me of Mr. Marko, the guy goes by the name of Rhino." He looked at the second and recognized him as a two bit hood from the street. Looking around he got a crazy idea and chuckled. "Hey why don't you chase them up the street and make sure they take a left at Lincoln. I'm going up ahead and ruin their little party." Swinging off to the left he cut across the buildings and got right where they should be coming upon in a few minutes. Firing off his webbing once again he created a giant spider web that latched between the buildings across from each other. Now, if Ms Marvel got them to make the right turn, they would find out what it means to be truly stuck.

With nothing but a smirk, Ms. Marvel quickly jumped off the building and took flight following the rather agile Wallcrawler. When he mentioned Rhyno, Ms. Marvel's memory flipped back to a couple of months ago to pictures of a guy dressed in a Rhyno suit, tearing up the city. With a rather loud yell to the Webhead, she smirked. "I thought you locked that clown up a couple of months ago?" She predicted the answer, before nodding to Spidey when he suggested the plan. With rather quick speed, she descended to the road and flew alongside the car with Rhyno in it. The passenger pulled his gun to the window and went to fire, but he was quickly shot down with a photon blast to the face. "Pull over, big guy!" She didn't expect him to, instead, she was forcing him to make a turn to where Spidey's trap was laid; and he did just that. She watched eagerly for the outcome of Spidey's trap.

Watching the car pull in he chuckled and decided it was time to give the Rhino something more familiar to look at. Webbing down he swung right into view of the car before webbing the windshield, that way the guy didn't know what to do. Watching the car try to turn at high speeds and flip into his web he chuckled. "Yeah I did, actually right before I enrolled, but the problem with super powered crooks. Cement walls don't tend to hold them very long." He shrugged a bit as he looked over at the car. "Nice shot by the way. So how about you deal with Rhino as I get the cops over here." he chuckled as he webbed off and made sure to guide the police towards the trap knowing Rhino was dealt with for the moment.

(For the sake of excitement, I'm twisting this a bit.)
The car flew straight into the webbing that Spidey had made and was now officially stuck; it was a humourous sight to see for Ms. Marvel. "I thought ol' Jameson made the cops hate you?" With a tad bit of a snicker she landed on the ground and walked towards the car, with the idiot driver still pressing on the pedal to get some inaccessible speed. With a smirk at how truly pathetic it looked, Ms. Marvel peaked in the window and taunted the driver. "The only place you're going is straight back into a cell." The guy lifted the rifle of his uncoscious mate and was ready to fire at the blonde heroine, but he was quickly shot down with a blast to the face, much like his comrade. Yet, something didn't seem right.
Doesn't that guy wear a rhyno suit?
Right on cue, she heard rampaging footsteps behind her. She went to dive out of the way, but was not quick enough and was rather brutally bowled over by a large man in a grey Rhyno suit. "What'sa matter, Princess? Did I trick you?" Rubbing her face, Ms. Marvel pushed herself to her feet. That hurt quite a lot, but she had taken worse hits in her time. Turning to face the rather well known super-criminal, she readied her fists, knowing she needed to take this guy down before he caused any more destruction. And what better way to clear up a mutant's name by catching this dumb assed brute? "Let's try that again, when I'm ready for you." She smirked to the brute whom merely responded by doing his trademark build up by stamping his foot against the ground.
With a large yell, Rhyno charged directly at Ms. Marel, whom merely waited before firing a low powered blast into his face that would dizzy him. She dived out of the way and her plan went into full effect. The blast had dizzied the charging brute long enough for him not to see the wall he was about to crash into. He smashed headfirst into it and the rebound knocked him off his feet. "You're a crafty one...no, wait...I'm thinking of someone else." Taking a page out of Spidey's book, she taunted the downed Super Criminal. But he wouldn't be down for long...

He was resting on the side of the building when he watched the Rhino come from some hidden area. About to shout out a warning he realized it was already too late, but he was rather impressed with how well she took the hit. Now it was time to play a mind game with Rhino. Pulling off his traditional uniform he had taken to wearing the black and white underneath it. Dropping down he picked up a large chunk of the wall that Rhino had crashed through and stood over him with the wall chunk held above his head ready to crash down on the brute.
Screaming and curling up into a little ball the large Rhino was actually begging Ms. Marvel to take him away. It was a bit comical if you thought about it for a minute, but the big guy was a blubbering mass and Spidey knew how to play it up. "What you think I'm gonna let you bust out again? Why not just end your life now and not have to worry about you anymore." Slamming the wall down right above the Rhino's head he chuckled a bit as he watched the guy pass out. Turning back to Ms Marvel he chuckled and thumbed to the big baby."He's all yours."

That was a little...unexpected. A couple of seconds ago Rhyno was acting all tough and typically stupid, but now he was like a blubbering old man, begging for mercy. Ms. Marvel actually felt slightly bad for the poor guy, despite the fact that he had just rammed her pretty hard. She was about to take him away, but Spidey, whom had changed costumes, had knocked the consciousness out of him with the piece of the wall. Walking forward, she patted Spidey on the shoulder. "Don't you think that was a little bit harsh?" Sirens whirred from around the corner and a number of police vehicles, plus a armored car came to a halt near the crime scene. Jumping out of their vehicles, police officers immediatley raised their weapons at Ms. Marvel, ordering her to get down. "Whoah! Hold the phone! I'm the good gal' here!" Her hands raised in the air, she was more or less suprised than anything else. Besides, she didn't want to have to blast the cops...

Looking out into the line of cops he smiled. "Hey Jimmy, how's the kids? Mary still playing with that spidey doll I signed for her?" The cop kinda blushed, and lowered his gun. Motioning for his friends to do the same he looked up. "That's not fair web-head." Spidey reached over and tapped Ms. Marvels arms down. "Be careful or they'll think your trying to flash them or solicit yourself to them in that outfit." Motioning up Spidey waved to the cops as he launched into the air. Webbing off to the same rooftop they were on before hand. He dropped down to a crouch figuring he owed her an explanation for his actions.
"I actually didn't mean to hit him with that piece of the wall. Kinda slipped when I brought it down, was only meaning to scare him to pieces. But, this way he will be nice and docile for the cops. That cops daughter is a big fan of mine and just beat a case of cancer. Was really touching when I got the letter from the Make a Wish Foundation through the Bugle." He shrugged as he looked over at her. "She's eight what was I supposed to do?"

A very awkward blush came to Ms. Marvel's face as Spidey made the comment about her costume and what kind of idea it would give the cops. "I happen to like my costume..." But Spidey probably wouldn't hear it as he was already swinging up to the top of the building they were previously on. She kind of awkwardly nodded to the cops, whom seemed to be eyeing her up and down. The joys of being a blonde bombshell in a costume...She quickly followed after Spidey, flying high up into the air.
Landing next to him, she brushed herself down, getting the pieces of pavement off her when Rhyno smashed into her rather hard. When he started to talk about what happened with Rhyno beforehand, she sort of vagued out as she was recalling exactly what happened through her mind. Maybe he didn't mean to be so aggressive? "Well, I suppose you didn't kill the poor guy. No harm done there." Staring down to the city below, watching the cops lug the large unconscious body of Rhyno into the armored car, she turned back to face Spidey. "You consider your job to be easy?" It wasn't a joke of a question; she was fully serious. Tonight could be considered a walk in the park, but surely Spidey must have encountered a villain who had got the drop on him and made his night hell.
