"Let's go then. We can do the grunt work later." She followed him to the door and slipped out. "Don't worry, I'll have your back no matter what my issues are, they have never affected a mission and I won't let them do so now." Once outside she turned and walked backwards as she looked at him. "My car or are we walking?" Bobbi really hoped she could trust this guy, even though she'd swear until the day she died that she could do this on her own she knew it was a lie. But as it stood shew as on her own at least until she found out if they were going to click as partners and maybe even friends.

Nodding his head he moved out the door and looked over at her. "I know this great beer joint that serves bad burgers or a great burger joint with bad beer?" He looked over at her and wondered what was going through her hair. He was shaking his head a bit a he looked over at her. He couldn't figure out what was her problem or if she was someone he could really trust.
Walking out with her he looked over at her car and smiled. "Sorry I kinda blew up my ride on the way over here. So can I catch one with you?"

"Oh god... that's a hard choice. Good beer and bad burgers all the way... Shit... We might have to come back... Bad beer and good burgers?" That was an issue. She leaned against her car and looked up at him. "We are partners, just let me get a chance to get to know you a little better and then I'll explain everything. Then you can decide if you want a new partner. But I've got your back, you can trust me on that one." She nodded toward the car as she slid in. She turned it on and rolled down the window and stuck her head out. "Hey, handsome, need a ride?" Maybe she'll be able to adjust after all, one could only hope.

Thinking about it he looked at her and smiled. "Bad beer good burgers it is. Can't be drunk on shift can we?" He got into the car after her whole flirting thing. He like it, but wasn't so sure about how she's delivered it since it didn't seem natural right now. "Hey, once we've kept each other alive a few times I'm sure just about everything will come out, and we'll work it through, isn't that what partners are for?"

"Bad beer and good burgers it is. Maybe good root beer?" She was really going to have to work on that flirting thing. Bobbi used to be good at it but not so much anymore. Kind of sucked but three years out of practice because she was definitely not going to flirt with that bastard. She waited for him to get in a comfortable before backing out. "Last time I checked yeah. Been out of the loop a bit though so things might have changed." She flashed him a genuine grin that time. "Where to then, partner?" It would definitely be good if she could actually become friends as well as partners. Right now she didn't feel she had any and it was the one thing she needed as much as she hated to admit it. Barbara Morse needed someone to rely on.

Giving her directions to the joint that he knew about he chuckled. He remembered his days of basic training out here so he actually knew the area fairly well. He could tell this girl was needing something, and he hoped it was a friend and not a boyfriend. He already figured that out at a young age he did Mr. Right really wrong, but ask him to be Mr. Right Now, and you couldn't touch him. She actually took him off guard with one helluva smile when she gave you a real one. "Deal partner, and I promise, I won't leave you on the bomb wired shitter."

Bobbi followed his directions and started to really grin. "I remember this place. Used to come here all the time when I snuck out of the office. Didn't think it'd still be here." Her voice went soft at the last sentence as she pulled into a parking spot. She turned off the car and got out. "God... I would be the Murtaugh wouldn't I? Damn I wanted to be Riggs. How about I just be Renee Russo and let Cap be Murtaugh?" She winked over at him and rolled her neck. Her brow furrowed for a minute as she let out a small breath before making her way through the doors. She waited to get assaulted by memories long lost and braced herself for impact. She wasn't let down at all since nothing had changed even the people working.
Bobbi no longer saw the faces that were currently there, but she was thrown back into the past and the first time she was partnered with Barton. After only several seconds that seemed like hours she blinked back to reality and moved to the old and familiar seat. "Bobbi girl?" Her head turned and she gave a full and true genuine smile. "Danny boy?" The big man grabbed her up in a hug and thank God it was a familiar thing to her because she would have hated to hurt him.

Walking in behind his partner he waited until she got her bearings, he figured her eyes just needed to adjust to the lower light? Yeah that didn't make much sense either, but then again if the place held memories of one kind or another than it could be rough on her. So he just let her take her time. Now when the big guy came up and looked like he was trying to choke her to death by crushing her ribs he just chuckled and dropped into a seat. While she was busy with the over grown owner of the dive he put his order in with a waitress that walked by. Who was he to get in the way of old friendships. He even put in an order for Bobbi since he wasn't sure what she would want.

Bobbi was finally released and tried to breathe. She had heard what Johnny ordered her and nodded. Not that the waitress needed to be told, it might have been three years but she had been coming her for years before that. They'd know what she wanted still and that floored her. The blond slid into the seat across from Johnny and gave a half grin. "Sorry about that, he was like that every time one of us came back from a long mission. At least me not sure about the others." She gave a half shrug and played with a napkin. She let out a slow breath and then looked back up at him. "So what do you want to know about your new partner and what should your partner know about you?"

He thought about that for a minute as he looked over at her. "What I need to know about you? I'll let you decide that for yourself. Now on my side, besides for my Sister and a Niece I have no family. I'm actually extremely loyal to my older sister which is why I don't say anything about the mistake that gave her my Niece. I use two phrases to activate my powers which I developed as a kid. Been a SHIELD agent after Graduating from High School and a recruiter saw me flame up. Was on a recon squad for a year or two picked up a lot of knowledge on small unit tactics and the such. Love to live life on the edge of death. And I'm a really shitty Mr. Right, I realized that a long time ago after I failed at my fifth or sixth relationship, but as one ex told me I make one helluva Mr. Right Now." Shrugging he looks over at her and grins. "So yeah right now you are the only lady in my life and won't have to worry about me cheating." Winking he took a drink from the weak beer that he ordered for himself, since she mentioned a root beer earlier he got her a float.

Bobbi perked up when she heard the words love to live life on the edge of death. "I joined SHIELD right out of college and was with the agency until my disappearance three years ago. I love undercover work and am quite good when in a fight. I always have my partners back. I have no family and at this point I don't even have any friends. I'm not going to be any good at personal relationships for awhile but a Mr. Right Now maybe what I need. I've been to hell and back. My shrink says I have a subconscious death wish but don't worry that won't interfere because I think he's dumbfuck and doesn't know what he's talking about. I'm not looking for anything more than a partner and a friend. Not so sure I could deal with a lover without freaking out at the moment." She sipped her float and stared down at the table.
"I'm on a couple of medications to help deal with my mental and emotional issues, and to help sleep without having to worry about flashbacks nightmares. I don't want to bore you with the details especially not here, but eventually if we are going to be partners, I'd want you to know the full extent of what happened so you understand I have reasons for being the way I am. Oh and I tend to have slightly more violent tendancies than I used to but they won't be directed at you unless you feel like sparring."

He thought about it for a minute and sighed. "So what's his name?" It wasn't hard to put the fact that only a real dip-shit of a guy to put that look in a woman's eyes. "I'm not really a fist fight kinda guy, generally I like to burn them from a distance, but if I have to I do go through SHIELD basic training twice. And that's a long story that I rather not get into unless you really want to know." He still couldn't believe that one.
Thinking again he realized he might have just pushed his nose into a sensitive area, and thought he better pull it out if he wanted to keep his head intact. "Hey, if you feel like telling me that is, I understand if you don't." He knew there were areas that you just don't go and get involved in, a part of a partner's life that you shouldn't become part of, at least that was what he believed. Yet she said she might be in need of a guy like him, and who was he to turn down a friend. "You let me know if you ever feel frustrated and I'll make it disappear, pretty good at that." he winked to let her know he was teasing and serious at the same time.

Bobbi just shook her head a bit because she really couldn't tell him who. He wouldn't understand that he'd be going after the wrong one. "You wouldn't be able to find him or get to him anyway. Thank you for the offer though. But I can't give you his name because I'd need to explain it to you and you probably won't believe me. So give me some time to figure out how to make it plausible and then we will see." She hated the idea of actually lying to him but she figured by the way the shrink acted she was going to have to. It still pissed her off that he called it a drug induced psychotic episode of a delusional nature. In other words she had been caught, doped up, and tricked into believing the line of bull he thought she was feeding him. That pissed her off to know end.
Blue eyes looked at him quite seriously. "Ah but that is the issue, my friend. I am quite frustrated, I just can't do anything about it with out either one, cowering in a corner and waiting for the bad shit to happen, or two accidently killing you, quite possibly. Give me a few weeks to get to know you and then we'll see what happens." Hell and damnation she'd be telling him the whole story but the time the day is done at this rate. Maybe it was because she thought he wouldn't judge her on it or maybe she just needed someone outside of a professional to understand she wasn't making it up and it really happened.

Looking at her he smiled a bit and shook his head. "Listen, I won't push, but when you are ready feel free, by then I'm sure you'll know where I am staying or my number. By the way." He handed her his phone number that way she could get in contact with him if she needed to. There were days where he felt like sleeping in on his days off so if she needed to get in contact with him the only thing that would do it is his cellphone. For some reason that wakes him up.

Bobbi gave him a genuine smile once more and she was starting to relax a bit around him. "You couldn't push me. I might be rusty but I still have skills. But yeah, I might take you up on that." Wouldn't be the first time she'd slept with a partner but then who could a girl trust if she couldn't trust her partner? She took his number and gave him hers in return. "Same goes for you. If you ever need anything just give me a call." She looked up as the food was delivered and then looked back at him. "Is it messed up that I feel like I've known you for years?"
