Skills: Mark is an exceptional basketball player and has great coordination and agility. He uses this to his advantage when battling opponents, easily overwhelming them with his speed. Though his endurance is nowhere near superhuman, he can go on doing strenuous activities longer than most people. He can also read lips well since when in battle he has on his headphones, he has to know when orders are being given.

Personality: Well, Mark is one cool kid. He has the type of persona that gets him attention from any and everyone. He isn't the type of guy that stays on the sidelines. If he wants something, he will not hesitate to pursue. Mark is also very very flirtatious. He doesn't care if the girl is taken or not, he will try his best to sweep her off her feet. But he doesn't like to be in a relationship for too long seeing as he doesn't want the other fine ladies of the world to miss out. He's not egotistical, just confident in his abilities.

Mutant Abilities: He has the ability to control music to create various effects. Different styles of music grant him different abilities, all depending on what he is listening to. These are the powers that he has so far figured out...

Classical: Allows him to create a protective forcefield that's able to stand up against bullet fire and small explosions.
Rock: Allows creation of blue colored energy beams that can be compared to something like Cyclop's eye beams.
Dance/Techno: Allows creation of blinding multicolored lights that he uses to escape dangerous situations.

Weaknesses: Mark still has all the same weaknesses of your average human. In order for him to use his powers he has to be around music. If his headphones or mp3 player are destroyed, he's pretty much vunerable and useless. He also has to take the time to search through his music if he wants to change powers which leaves him open for attack. A dangerous situation he does not like.

History: Mark Sheppard was born and raised in the city of Manhattan, New York. As a child, he loved to listen to music and play basketball so much. He was the star player on the basketball team during his elementary years, earning numerous trophies for his skills. His father would often take him to ball games so that he could watch the professionals and gain pointers. When he wasn’t out playing basketball, he was jamming to some form of music. Unlike most kids, he enjoyed all genres from country to hip-hop.

During his middle school days, his basketball skills only improved along with his musical tastes. This was also the time that he started to really get into the female species. Cooties were nonexistent to him. Girls were all he started to think about always pursing one. His mother would just shake her head at him in laughter as he seemed to have a different girlfriend every week. He didn’t care what their race was or their background; if the girl was pretty he would try to get with her.

He continued on with his basketball and woman pursing when he reached high school. His ninth grade year he was voted as the most flirtatious out of his class, an accolade he carried with honor. On his fifteenth birthday, Mark received a spanking new mp3 player that he instantly loaded up with all his music collection. But something weird and unexpected happened to him. One day while jamming out in his room to some heavy metal, he started screaming the lyrics of the song which resulted in a sonic blast that shattered the window and mirror in his room. He was freaked out, along with his parents, but worked through it.

Mark also discovered that when he listened to hip-hop, he could fire off concussive blast. Over the next year and a half, he experimented with his powers discovering that different genres of music granted him different abilities. He continued his regular school life with his parents until he was 17. Mark met a young woman named Ororo Munroe who introduced herself to him she noticed him using his powers at a local park. She told him about a place for people like him and became ecstatic. Mark told his parents about the school and they agreed that it would be best for him. He has spent the last two months trying to get to know the other students, specifically the ladies, and better his powers.
