Appearance:
Skills:
Forge is a brilliant mind in the world of science, having earned several PhD’s in the fields of mechanical and biological engineering, not to mention having great knowledge of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Automotive mechanics. Physically he is in tiptop shape thanks to an intensive workout regime designed to keep him in tune with his cybernetic prosthetics, as well as the conditioning he’s earned through the sport of kickboxing at which he shows some aptidue at..
Personality:
Jonathon, or Forge as he prefers to go by these days, is pretty laid back and easy going type of guy, preferring to stay out of the hustle and bustle unless it directly involves him. He isn’t one to avoid company though, and will readily seek out companionship when the mood strikes him.
Forge is always one for a quick witty remark, however in recent years following his accident these remarks have taken on a definite edge to them that sometimes borders too close to the mark. When alone and left to his thoughts, or without a invention to tinker on, he is often prone to bouts of depression over his accident and the misuse of his inventions.

The Mutant
Codename: Forge
Mutant Abilities:
Forge has the mutant ability to intuitively understand any and all mechanical devices within his visual range, being able to naturally perceive the “mechanical energy”, or kinetic and potential energy present in the components of the mechanical system to be precise, and thereby determine all its capabilities and functions. Forge can also merely think of a machine, or simply just the function which he intends for it perform, and his brain will subconsciously figure out all the theoretical principles behind it and devise how best to go about constructing it.
Cybernetics:
The cybernetic prosthetic’s that Forge has created, specifically his right hand and right leg, are perhaps some of the finest ever devised, working as well as, if indeed not better, than those he tragically lost. Both are comprised of a lightweight experimental alloy, and both are capable of contorting beyond the human possibilities thanks to their mechanical origin (although Forge is loath to display this in public). The right hand incorporates numerous separate devices, including a number of tools that help turn it into a functional “swiss-army knife” that aids him in his day-to-day tinkering.
Weaknesses:
Forge’s power is unfortunately only limited to technological devices, and therefore is rendered completely useless when it comes to trying to understand concepts that are beyond that scope.
Excluding his prosthetics, Forge is functionally human and as such shares all the perils and weaknesses, not to mention requirements, that you’d normally expect a normal person to fall prey to.
History:
Growing up in small settlement of Concho, Oklahoma, situated on the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribal reserve, Jonathon Silvercloud probably spent more time in and out of his father’s workshop rather than paying attention to learning about his ancestral heritage. Always one for puzzles he couldn’t help but try to work out how things worked, a desire that perhaps in some way influenced how his x-gene would develop.
With the manifestation of his powers the world of engineering suddenly became infinitely clearer to the young Silvercloud, and he rapidly begun to build devices that would ordinarily have normally escaped his grasp. With the existence of mutants relatively unknown at this point, Jon was dubbed a prodigy of engineering and quickly went on to be accepted at MIT.
When he was twenty he tragically was involved in a motor accident that claimed not only the life of his long term girlfriend, but also robbed him of his right hand and leg, and caused him to fall into a deep stint of depression. Still, his was a gift that couldn’t be ignored easily and it gradually urged him to create replacements for his lost appendages, and Jonathon quickly discovered that while in the throes of inventing the pain of his losses was more manageable.
With this realisation he quickly threw himself into his studies, tackling more and more with eager determination, using his gift to enable him to study several subjects at once, until he finally graduated MIT with perhaps one of the most impressive ranges of qualifications for someone his age, certainly the most impressive all in one go.
From there he was snapped up by the US Government to work on numerous projects for them. Working mostly on defence projects, Forge was quickly picked up by a subdivision of the Pentagon’s R&D department to design a watchman type unit intended to police an undetermined threat of unknown magnitude, a challenge he readily relished and produced numerous concepts. Of course those concept designs which would eventually go on to be the groundwork for the sentinel project, a project with the sole purpose of hunting down mutants such as Forge himself.
In the recent months since the revelation of mutant kind and the blatant misuse of his inventions to tackle the problem, Forge parted ways with the Pentagon and travelled to New York City, hoping to find some way to make up for all the trouble his inventions will be causing.
