She agreed with a nod. "Yeah, the 'pro's are wimps. Either that or they never figured out how to dodge so they don't have any brain-cells left. And it's not a problem with gloves so much as you can't feel how hard you're hitting someone." Kara didn't like hurting people. At all. Kara was screwed. The teenage girl blushed at his next words. "I, no not really. Maybe? Ah..." She'd dated. But never actually done anything. She caught his next words greatfully. "Yeah, I can bitch all I want. Won't change anything for me, will it? But, I got to tell you, only a teacher would say that. But I like teachers, so it's cool."
She leaned forwards, listening to him talk. Kara agreed with him, but at the same time she didn't have the hindsight to realise what was going to mean what ten years from now. "I can't stop doing things though, and when you say things, do things, live through highschool, you'll always be learning more about what happens when you say things. And what needs to be said usually isn't. Everyone's out to drive a dagger into your side." She was caught off guard by his question and paused, trying to remember what he'd said. "Oh, yes please."

He ordered two of the first deserts that came to the waitresses mind and turned back to his companion. "So Kara, any of the boys at school catch your eye yet?" Yeah he was going to do this, but mostly cause he wanted to tease her a bit after her blushing and stammering from earlier. Plus he figured it bought him some time to try and figure out what was going on here. He wasn't used to this one bit, and it was all wrong. He was having a decent conversation with a teenager. That went to Massachusetts Academy to boot. He couldn't believe his ears, and besides the whole stalker issue, she had manners as well. "You have given me hope for your class of Mass Academy Kara."

"Warren." She answered automatically. Then blushed, or, well she blushed more. "Um... Well honestly they're all cute. It's a boarding school thing. The guys are all hot... And I'm the girl who can't touch them. Literally."She sighed and cupped her hand in her palm. She smiled at him, realizing belatedly that he was teasing her. "You suck." She said, laughing. Teachers weren't supposed to be like this. They were supposed to be mean and avoid their students. This was... so cool."I-" She looked suprised. "Thanks, I'm touched. And you give me hope for teachers."

Looking at her he laughed a bit when she realized he was teasing her. "Well, I like to think of myself as your Instructor during class hours, but I'm just a person you work with Monday-Friday during the weekend." He smiled as he paid the bill and looked over at her. "I'll take it as a complement, that I meant mine to be." He rose slowly and offered her his arm. "So shall we go forth and see how much of my money I can blow for no reason?" He laughed a bit as he looked at her waiting for her to make her decision.

She tipped her head to one side. "So pretty much you're just condensed into the weekend?" She asked, fighting a snort. "Too bad you're a teacher durring the week, you're actually fun to hang out with as a 'normal guy'. Kara nodded. "Good. It was supposed to be. She watched him get up and offer her his arm. Kara hesitated, knowing she could still back out of shopping. But she was supprised that she didnt' actually want to. She got to her feet, taking his arm carefully, making sure not to actually touch his skin. "We'll have you stylish within a couple hours."

Laughing a bit he watched her hesitate and was actually kinda surprised that he found himself curious as too why, but oh well. When she did take his arm he leaned over and whispered. "of course I have to be a stick in the mud, Madam Frost is loose enough for her entire staff and more. So someone has to try and set an example." He winked to let her know he was teasing. Patting her hand he headed to the door and opened it for him. Having him stylish in a couple of hours was something that scared him, he just hoped he wouldn't need to buy a whole new set of belts to hold his pants up. "Well, let us see what is in store for two would be adventurers."

Kara nodded in agreement. She was actually kind of supprised that Miss. Frost wasn't already sleeping with one of the teachers, but whatever. It was true enough that the headmistress wasn't a stick in the mudd. "Well, that's very adult with you." Kara stiffened as he patted her hand, and immediately felt his heart-beat hit her own. She jumped away as if he'd shot her, and the effects of her power were gone within seconds. But it didn't matter to Kara how long it had lasted. It had happed. "Oh god." She said softly, letting go of Alex's arm and rushing out the door.

His heart felt a bit odd to him for a brief second, but then he thought about it and her information snapped completely into his mind. "Oh Sweet Baby Jesus. Alexander you do know how to really mess up a day don't you?" Heading out the little Italian place he looked up the street and down, with no sign of young Kara either way. He was wondering how long her double speed last off their brief connection. So he did the only thing he could. Got his bags from the waitress and started to walk up the streets, looking down each side street checking each brunette he saw to make sure she wasn't alone crying some where. Rubbing the back of his neck he sighed as he noticed the sun starting to drop. He wondered if she didn't head back to the school, and hell it would have been the smart thing, but he kept looking. Finally stopping long enough to get a strawberry slushy from a local convenience store. "Where oh where has little Kara gone?"

Kara hit the street still feeling slightly high off her contact with him. She forced herself not to sprint, but aside from that didn't try to think about what had just happened. Not caring where she headed, Kara skirted people and headed deeper into the city. Despite her efforts to walk, it was less then five minutes later when she found herself in some flea market and completely lost. The young mutant had calmed down, and her initial panick had faded to cursing herself for freaking out. She'd been eluding to what she could do the whole time, but he wouldn't have had any reason to actually know what she did. And she'd flipped out and ran. "And now I'm lost." Kara muttered.
She walked for a couple minutes and found her way out of the market and back closer to the area where she'd been eariler. She even found the restaurant. Kara didn't know her way around, but she did have a good sence of direction. The problem was, she didn't know where Alex had gone. And she didn't know how to get back to school even if she wanted to.
With a sigh, Kara leaned against the wall. She rooted around in her coat pockets for a moment or two, finally locating the Jolly Rancher she'd grabbed eariler. Sucking on her candy, Kara glanced around. She wasn't sure what to do now. And she wasn't really wanting to plan.

Waiting around wasn't getting him anywhere, and he decided that one more pass around the place might be a good idea. So he headed back to the shops that he had shopped in earlier today looking for the young girl that had dashed out of the bistro earlier. He finally found the bistro and smiled softly as he noticed Kara standing nearby. Heading over to her he chuckled softly as he shook a drink in front of her. "I take it you might be a bit thirsty." He looked at her with a smile before winking to let her know things were okay. "I owe you an apology dear, I forgot for a moment what your files from the school said." He bowed his head a bit as he looked up at the clock and chuckled. "But now I believe that a cab back to the school will be the best bet since the gates will be closing down here in an hour or two." He offered her his arm again to let her know things were really okay.

Kara was lost in thought when Alex showed up again. She looked up, startled. There he was again. She glared for a moment, then grabbed the offered drink out of his hand. "Thanks." She sucked on the straw- slushy. "Thanks." She looked at him, then glanced around and raised an eyebrow. "The one that says I'm a schizophrenic mass-murderer?" She asked. Following his gaze she sighed. "Yeah, I guess so. You'd better teach me something fast too, I totally cut class today."

He thought about it for a second and smiled at her. "Never run off just cause something happens. Always best to find out how it will effect things, before being sure that it will have a negative effect on you." He shrugged a bit as he looked at her. "Yes, there is the lesson and the taxi is right there, so are you ready to get back to the school?" He smiled to her as he thought about things a bit and laughed. "Well I guess we will have to take a rain check on that whole shopping deal." he winked to let her know he was teasing and not to take things too hard.
