Exodus was once again in the human land of America, a country still recovering from the damage their retaliation attack caused. He had seen the news footage....the media left out almost everything to do with why the Brotherhood had actually made the attack. Typical American media, glorify their tyranny and hatred, appeal to doe eyed masses.
Either way, that wasn't why he was in the filthy country. He was meeting Nymph. So he was in the presidential suite, his typical room in his typical hotel. The "room" actually occupied the entire floor. The French born mutant was sitting in a high back leather chair, facing a roaring fire. If one was to enter the apartment, his chair was in view from the hall way, a straight walk from the elevator to the living area, to the fire place. He was most comfortable, one ankle resting on the knee of the other leg, a glass of brandy casually, near hanging in one hand. When he heard the elevator ding that indicated someone had arrived on his floor, he had been expecting company, he did nothing, just waited for the person to enter.

Peyton had gotten the 'call' from Ex to meet him at their normal spot. She'd been trying to rehearse how she'd tell him that she was currently out of the business. But then she never worked when she was with Matt so until he told her he was going back to.... Well she'd stay out of the business for now. She'd gotten dressed up as usual though not as provocative as usual. She wasn't afraid of him, though essentially she probably should be, she just hoped he wasn't too upset with her.
As she stepped off the elevator she smiled when she saw him. Peyton wasn't one to really share her personal life with people, a rather private person. So she wasn't going to tell him about the attack. Honestly, she didn't even think he kept tabs on her when she wasn't working for him. Little did she know. "Hey, Exodus. How have you been?" She walked in front of him and leaned down and kissed both of his cheeks. This was going to be awkward.

Nymph arrived, smiling and looking pleasant as always, politely placing a kiss on each of his cheeks, which he returned. "Have a seat." he offered, telekinetically pulling a chair of the same design to his own just behind her, so she could just sit back into it. There was no soft cushion at his feet, for the comfort of her knees, tonight, he wondered if she'd notice.
There was a glass on the table in between their seats. "Brandy?" he asked, taking up the bottle, tipping it over the glass, just not enough to actually poor out, waiting if she actually wanted some first.

Her head tilted when she noticed 'her' cushion wasn't at his feet. So this was a social visit? They'd never had one of those before. "Thank you." She took her seat and crossed her legs at her ankles in a lady like fashion. She'd grown more mature and sophisticated over the years. When he offered brandy she shook her head. He knew she didn't drink and she knew he was just being polite. "How have you been?"
She hadn't seen him since the last time he was in the states and well, that was a week long of a lot of things. Peyton smoothed her skirt over her legs and looked at him. "There are some things I need to discuss with you." She didn't know if what she had to say would ruin whatever possible relationship they might have, on the friendly level of course. But she was most curious as to why he summoned her, it wasn't about sex, the cushion wasn't there. "Is there something wrong?"

"I have been quite alright, I'm sure you saw the news." he replied, major attacks on America like that tended to generate massive publicity. Massive. "But, you forget who your dealing with. I already know your no longer in the business, Matthew Murdock." he informed.
"I'm here for something else. As you know, mutants look after their own." informed the woman, before moving one hand slightly. There was a noise from the other room, suddenly it was revealed. A man, the very same one that had attacked her some time ago. He was very clearly in a bad way, his face and clothes were bloodied, his knees had been shattered, and he had been dragged in by the throat. "I thought, perhaps you might enjoy confronting him, and exacting some revenge. Or I could deal with him." It was a delightful offer from his point of view.

Peyton nodded, of course she saw the news. She let out a soft sigh, that was the one part of Exodus she wouldn't let her mind dwell on. She didn't agree with his politics and he knew it, otherwise he would have had her firmly planted in Genosha on call for him. Well, until he found someone he thought was worthy of him in a relationship aspect. "I was worried about that. Not that you wouldn't understand, I kind of figured you knew, just wasn't sure how you'd respond. At least for the time being. Things with us are and have been complicated. I'm glad you aren't upset with me though." She really was, not that she truly feared him, though she respected his power, she just didn't like the idea of upsetting someone she's known for so long.
Brown eyes narrowed a bit at his comment about mutants looking out for their own. Before the door even opened she knew who else was in there with them. She never dreamed he'd retaliate on her behalf. Actually, she never expected anyone to, it was how she'd always been. "Ex, you really shouldn't.... He'd already been dealt with... You know I don't.... I can't stop you can I?" If he wanted to exact revenge on her behalf he would, there was no doubt about that. She sighed softly and looked down at her hands. He knew she wasn't like him in that respect, if that had been the case she would have sent him after her parents years ago.

"Of course you can stop it, what happens is up to you. I've already put upon him a base punishment of pain, its the only thing some of these individuals understand. He can be killed, or reprogrammed mentally. Its up to you. You're the victim, his sentence is yours, and yours alone. We could even bring him to Genosha to stand trial." Explained the French born mutant Exodus, casually sipping at his drink.
He glanced to the one of the floor, a snivelling, bleeding wreck. If he wasn't a mutant himself he'd already be dead. He was of Hyperion's kind....if to a tiny degree. He wouldn't even merit the attention of some of the mutants in the Brotherhood. If it wasn't for his brutal attack on Nymph, Exodus wouldn't have looked at him twice.

"Just let him go. I don't think he'll come after me after this. It's the second time he's been beat up." Peyton was a bit stunned that Exodus would do this for her, and she knew it wasn't entirely because she was a mutant. But then they'd known each other for along time. "Ex, just let him go. Please?" This was really odd for her. Sure she knew people cared about her, but not to this extent. She wasn't sure how to deal with it. She'd had Matt part of the time, but never anyone always there. So, she'd gotten used to dealing with things on her own.
Nymph got up and moved over to him. She leaned down and kissed his cheek. "Thank you for caring though. As violent as it was, it was a lovely thought. But you don't have to, just remember that. It's not my thing. Why I never went to Genosha, remember?"

"So be it." Exodus replied. The man was telekinetically dragged from the room, thrown into the Elevator and sent downstairs, telepathically instructed to start working in a shelter for the poor, with a telepathic beacon hiding his appearance, it was a minor strain for Exodus, but he only had to keep it up for a few minutes.
After her kiss on his cheek however, he seemed less impressed. "Do you think this is all we do in Genosha? Sit away in some palace, plotting how to strike back on those that have wronged us? How to bring about the downfall of humanity? There is more to Genosha to that. We are a home, a safe haven, we have our own culture, our own language. We are the fastest developing country in the world! Weather it chooses to recognise us or not!"

Brown eyes watched as Exodus took care of the man and then turned her attention back to him. A brow went up when he started ranting against her. ”You know that's not what I think. But you also know I don't agree with the philosophy of down with the human race either. And I saw that attack you guys did and all those kids that got hurt. I know you think we are superior, but I don't think that way. Which is why I stayed away from Genosha, it wasn't a place I was comfortable with.” He was going to be pissed at her and there wasn't anything she could do about it. But then she'd never tried to hide anything from him. He knew how she felt about it all, but he was arrogant and had a bit of an ego. But then with his power she couldn't blame him too much for it. She just didn't like the fact he was yelling at her and she frowned to let him know that. Peyton headed back to her seat to put some distance between them, not that it would do any good, it was a bit symbolic more than anything. Letting him know he upset her by yelling at her.
