Kendra had only known Alexander Linton-Davis for three months, and she was the one who probably owed him a dinner since he'd saved her neck on their first meeting, saved her from going home with the straight member of the village people and paid for her train fair from Boston home to New York more than once in those three months. But She was cashing in a phrase she loved hearing more than anything else- "Free Meal". A plus was that it was Valentines.
Sporting a pinkish red dress by Karen Millen with her Yves St Lauren black paten heels and paired with black jewelry she felt hot with her hair slicked back into a long pony tail. She sat at the restaurant waiting on Alex hoping they were not going to a red soxx post game since she was so dressed up.

Ah Valentine's Day, to Alexander it had another name.....guaranteed action night! So he arrived at the restaurant adorned in a classy/casual number, clearly expensive jeans, a nice shirt and a matching jacket that really have the look that it wasn't an overall appearance you'd wear for beers with your guys.
Once in the door, he was informed by a snooty Italian gent that his company had already arrived, and was escorted to there table. "Hey Kenny, how you doin?" he asked, announcing his presence more then anything else, as he leaned in to give a polite greeting kiss on the cheek.

Kendra kissed his other cheek and smiled. "Very well Lin, how are you doing?" She teased back. He knew she hated Kenny, just as much as she hated Jennifer- only he didn't know she hated Jennifer, he didn't even know her name was Jennifer. "So hows life been treating you, students working you half to death?" The woman motioned to the seat across from her, Alex looked nice tonight, she wondered if he had some secret game he was going to play with her, and by secret he would probably mean a rough shag.

"I'm doing well." he replied, before sitting into the seat across the table from the woman. "No no, the kids are....while a handful....an enjoyable one." he continued, a sigh and a smile playing on his face as some of their recent antics came to mind.
He sat into the seat, before removing his jacket and sliding it onto the back of his chair, letting it hang there. "You haven't been waiting long have you?" asked the Irish gent, pondering if he wanted to have a drink now or wait until food had arrived.

The woman smiled gently her pinkish red lips creasing tightly in her bubble of contentment, it'd been so long since she'd let her guard down she wasn't sure what it really felt like to smile. "Not long at all, I was afraid I would be late so I came here early. I've been afraid of being stood up on Valentines every since I was a kid." She wasn't sure weather to let him know that Valentines day was also her birthday or not now, she wasn't in a rush to give out all her information on their first 'unofficial' date.

"Ah the eternal fear of being stood up on Valentines day." Alex laughed, what sucker would stand a chick up on the easiest night to get her feet prints on the roof of your car. "Well don't worry my dear, here we are! Its all fun from here. Hopefully anyway." he smiled again before leaning forward. "Not lets eat!" he was starving, had skipped lunch to he'd enjoy dinner all the more. The Irish Gent reached for his menu, taking a moment to scan it over.

Kendra picked up her own menu and scanned it over, she'd long since decided what she wanted. Something carb filled but not to garlicy she didn't wanna scare him off if things got... heated. She decided on the baked ziti always a good choice in her book. She only hoped she got red wine to go with it, she could taste that succulent bitter taste now the rich sauces from the food- wow- she was really hungry perhaps next time she shouldn't skip out on the train food.
"How are you enjoying all this snow?" She inquired about the weather. "I almost didn't get out of New York this morning because of it."

"Oh I love the snow, we didn't get much of it in Ireland, almost none in fact. So its always a treat when I get it these days. I can barely feel the cold anyway, I more so feel cold because I know I should, if you know what I mean." Alexander explained as he looked over the menu, while it had a delightful array of things listed, and the restaurant was so classy....he was really just in the mood for a burger with some chips and ketchup......although the lasagne was calling out to him too.

"I understand what you mean." She said lowering her menu. "It's about the same as New york." Although sleeping in a storage warehouse building made it harder to cope with. She hated the fact that she didn't have a place to stay, though if she worked tonight out well she may end up spending the weekend in the hotel here in Boston rather than having to go 'home' to Manhattan.

Before Alex could reply, a pleasantly smiling waitress arrived, asking if they were ready to order. "Yeah I think I'm ready, you ready?" he asked looking to his date for the evening. Although in his head he was thinking back to movies, he was damn sure he had seen lots of snow in TV shows and movies based in New York!

"Yes, I'll have the baked Ziti, and a glass of the house red wine." She informed closing the menu and handing it to the waitress. Kendra looked to Alex to finish the order. She briefly looked over his shoulders and chest, the way he was sitting and his strong jaw line. She bit the corner of her lip totally unaware was to what he was ordering. She knew that these days twenty-four was a little old for a virgin but tonight she might get a really nice birthday present out of this tall dark and handsome irshman.

"Can I get the Lasagne with an extra side order of french fries please?" he might as well get both cravings desired. Although he hated calling chips french fries, it was ridiculous....caused a lot of confusion when he first started living in the States. "And a pint of Guinness." Yes...that would do well.
"So, what you been up to the last little while?" he asked, once he had passed over his menu and the waitress had departed.

She drummed her fingers a bit then smiled her tight lip smile again. "Looking for work mostly, can't say it's easy to come by in this economy." She nearly laughed, she was still wearing designer clothes, it wasn't like she was having it to bad. THen again she did sacrifice sleeping arrangements in exchange for the gym membership, and the clothes. Oh how she loved having those little quirks. "What about you?"

"Oh I've been up to the usual, teaching and all that." Although teaching in a school of mutants tended to be a bit different....not to mention his thrists with Ms. Frost. Although, they had agreed, for the sake of professionalism, to call those to a halt. Besides, if the study body found out, it would give them all the more reason to be the little deviants they were. As if they needed a reason anyway....the little deviants.

Kendra reclined a bit. "That sounds terribly dull." She smirked an eye brow raising. "Not to offend." She didn't really mean to, but often enough Kendra really did think her life was more important than others, and that she was the most interesting person she knew. In most cases she was probably right, she worked with pencil pushers, temps and mechanics they didn't often didn't get more interesting than a mutant with an alter ego.
