Sam walked down on the jogging tails kind of bummed out that the stupid war broke out and him and Amber never got to go to the beach. He had just booked the beach house they were going to stay in and got the horses for them to use. Then Magneto had to be an ass and attack Washington and of course he along with a number of the staff and students went to stop him which lasted the whole weekend and then some. And a lot of there people got hurt and he had avoided going to see Amber he didn’t want to make her hurt anymore then what she was. Growing up on a farm he had been hurt worst then this so he could live with a little pain.

She hurt, but she refused to stay couped up much longer. Accidently, she found out that her powers grew when she went to move one kid off another as she was healing them. The kid that she started to move started garnering the injuries and she didn't. It was a total freak out. A couple of people with healing factors came up and helped once it was found out what had happened. Apparently, people didn't like to see her hurt. Too late. The emotional distress of seeing so many kids like that were enough to do her in. But she needed to get out and clear her head. Amber was worried since Sam never came into the infirmary. She knew he had been hurt but he never showed. She was chewing her thumbnail and not paying attention, when she bumped into someone. "Sorry... Sor.... Sam!" Her arms went around his neck and she hugged him.

Sam gritted his teeth from the pain from whoever bumped into him. Mental note avoid getting sent through walls unless blast field is up. He turned to see who it was turned out to be Amber and before he knew it he was hugged “Ow. I’m a little sore nothing major to worry about.” he lied big time hopefully she would buy it though. “Sorry about the weekend. I know how much you were looking foreword to going to the beach and all.” he hoped changing the subject would make her forget about him being hurt. “Maybe we could do something else? And save up our penny’s and go some place warm away from the cold.”

Amber was so glad to see him she nearly missed the 'ow'. "Oh god, I'm sorry." She quickly let him go and stepped back. "I'm going to worry anyway. But you won't let me fix it will you?" She knew he wouldn't, Sam didn't much care for her powers from what she could tell. "Well, saving the world kind of trumps a weekend at the beach. It's alright, we both ended up being busy." Amber grinned at him and nodded. "Yeah, I'd like that. Maybe catch a movie or something?" She really liked Sam, a lot so any chance of going out with him she'd take.

“I know you will and you are right about that I went to see a doctor he said it was just bruises painful ones but it wouldn’t kill me.” he shrugged a bit it was partly true he did have bruises and a few deep gashes which might scar. “Of all the Brotherhood members I had to fight I had to get stuck with the one that had control over the air.” He began remembering his fight with Nassr the ass threw a tornado at him and Von Damme. Sam shock his head to forget about those thoughts he really didn’t want to think about it to much “We could do something now if you want?” he suggested classes were on hold for the time being so the students and staff could recover so he had a lot a free time.

"I could still fix them....." She bit her bottom lip, as she wanted to hug him but was now afraid to. "At least you got medical attention, I'm glad for that." Blue eyes narrowed as he described the guy he fought. He sounded vaguely familiar. "Dark hair and eyes, about eighteen or so?" If that was the guy she remembered him from that one night at the club. Oh if she ever got her hands on that kid again. "You sure you are up for it? I mean, I don't think you should over extend yourself. But if you hadn't eaten yet, maybe we could grab a bite." She was torn between doing something with him and taking him back to his room and taking care of him.

“I wanted to make sure nothing was broken it did feel like it at first.” Sam said as he went to put an arm around Amber not all of him was sore lucky for him. He looked down at her with a confused look “Yeah….how did you know?” had she some how seen him on TV or something else? Of course he could have been an ex-boyfriend he really didn’t know. “How about we go and get something to eat and go back to the school?” He suggested after seeing the look in her eyes. “And you can play nurse.” he smirked it might be fun.

"I'm glad you at least went." She carefully slid one arm around him and laid her head on his shoulder. Amber didn't want to hurt him anymore than he already was. "Sort of. Met him at a club once awhile back. Before the attacks. Nothing came of it though." She'd known the guy was Brotherhood, but she'd been so worried about the kids, Sam and other staff members, she didn't even think he might have been in the attacks. "My treat. Whatever you want, I got overtime and a bit of hazard pay. Kind of... A bonus or something." When he said she could play nurse she smirked. "I have the outfit and everything. You probably wouldn't enjoy it though. But yeah, I'd be more than happy to pamper you." She would too, besides then she might see him with his shirt off again, maybe heal him up a bit.

“Well I don’t think you’ll be running into him again part of the building came down on him and I don’t think he ever got out from under it.” he was in a way happy that the guy had died all he did was kill all those people in such a horrible way he nightmares about it and probably will for a long while. “Maybe burgers and fries I don’t think I’m going to be able to sit in those hard chairs or booths for a long time.” now that he thought about it wasn’t all that comfortable walking around either. “You never know I just might like it.” he said with a smile it couldn't be all that bad could it?

Blue eyes widened and she shuddered at the thought of how the guy died. It was a horrible way to go. But then attacking people who did nothing wrong wasn't such a good thing either. The injury listing was enough to make her body ache. ”Are you sure he's dead?” She wasn't going to take anything for granted. There was no way to know for sure since stranger things have happened. At his comment about the food she nodded and looked him up and down. ”Why don't we just get it to go? Then we can get it to go and get you comfortable. That sound good to you?” At his comment about the uniform she winked. ”Then I'll go dig it out just for you.” Carefully she linked her arm through his as they walked.

“There was a lot of blood coming out from under the rubble any way of trying to get to him was cut short when the place started to come down around us.” he really didn’t think the guy lived after that he might have been before but once everything started coming down he most likely didn’t make it. "Sounds good to me.” he hoped there was a place close by so they can get their and get back to the school. "Can hardly wait to see it." he smiled at the thought of seeing in the nurse uniform

Amber blanched at his description and decided a change in topic was in order. ”Well, I'm glad that you are alright, even if you are more hurt than you are telling me.” She gave him a look to let him know she knew he was making it smaller than it was. ”Don't worry, there's a place just outside the park and I have my car here. I'll get you home as quick as possible.” She grinned up at him and walked with him to the exit. ”I bet.” Amber laughed and shook her head, she bet a lot of the boys would like to see it. Well except maybe JP.
