Skills: Since coming to the Academy Warren has trained extensively in hand-to-hand combatant and shown himself to be gifted fighter, particularly in aerial combat. He has an impressive understanding of spatial recognition and using his environment as well as thinking in 3-dimensions. Thanks to his father he is also apparently very business savvy, able to pick good investments and help companies improve their productivity with ease. Since coming to the Massachusetts Academy he has also taken up learning how to play the guitar, while not the greatest yet Warren has managed to learn how to play it with some skill and gets better every day.

Personality: Warren is a predator first and foremost. His mutation has made him a rather aggressive person and he tends to respond with violence when faced with confrontation. As such Warren can be seen as a hot head by those who get on his bad side.

Having given in to his more animalistic nature Warren is perfectly comfortable with murder when it is necessary. He doesn’t wantonly run around killing folks for no reason but he sees murder as a part of life and something that can’t be avoided. Warren also dislikes being told to curb his animal side. Perhaps his “softer” side can be seen in that he feels protective of those he knows and associates with for the most part and is willing to fight for them when they are unable to defend themselves.

The Mutant

Codename: Archangel

Mutant Abilities:
Aerial Adaptation: Warren’s entire anatomy had been adapted to flying. This includes hollow bones, virtually no body fat, greater muscles mass, eyes adapted for high speed winds and a special membrane in his lungs that enable him to extract oxygen from air at high velocities or altitudes. His body performs at higher levels thanks to his mutation allowing him peak physical strength, superhuman stamina and durability.

Accelerated Healing: Another side effect of his physical mutation is that Warren's body also heals a much faster rate then the average humans. Cuts and punctures will heal within a matter of hours and broken bones are healed and back to full strength within a few days.

Metallic Wings: Growing from Warren’s shoulder blades are a pair of techno organic wings. These wings, despite their metallic composition are indeed a biological growth from Warren's back. Warren's wings are strong enough to lift him off the ground and can be used to strike someone hard enough with considerable force.. These wings are razor sharp allowing him to cut swing them with great strength and given their sharp edge that can cut through dense material such as concrete, wood and weaker metals like iron with ease. They cannot however do so with tougher materials such as solid steel, titanium and so on. Thanks to their metallic nature they can shield Archangel from attacks and have been shown to withstand things like automatic weapons or bladed weapons. Archangel can also flex the muscles in his wings and use them to fire his metallic feathers at high speed.

Flight: Thanks to his wings Archangel is capable of flying high above the earth. His cruising speed is roughly 70 mph but he can reach a max speed of Mach 1. The highest he’s been able to fly is approximately 29,000 feet above sea level before the strain becomes too great and the air is too thin for him to breath.

Weaknesses: Despite the advantages Archangel possesses his wings are still vulnerable to damage. Because they are attached any damage done to his wings cause Warren to feel pain. If they are injured Warren must also wait for his wings to heal before attempting to fly again, not doing so may resort in greater damage being done. Warren must also be careful using his feathers as projectiles. If he's not careful Warren can impede his ability fly should he fire off too many feathers his wings will becomed weakened and unable to fly until his accelerated healing factor can manage to regrow the feathers he has expended, a process that can take up to 24 hours depending on how many he's used.

Also with his predatory nature Warren can tend to leap before he looks into combat. His powers have seemed to give Warren a sense of claustrophobia, he hates to be indoors and can barely stand being inside a building for an extended length of time. Small dark spaces completely terrify him. Also he is vulnerable to attractive women who seem to have an easy time manipulating him.

History:
Born to the wealthy pair of Warren Worthington Jr and Kathryn Worthington there was little in life that young Warren wanted for growing up. Always having faith that his son would one day follow in his footsteps Warren’s father groomed him to one day become the CEO of Worthington Industries. Warren spent his days learning about marketing, stocks, corporate takeovers and all sorts of other tools needed to excel in his destined career.

Life was good for Warren, he was smart, attractive, rich and had more power then most kids his age. Junior year of highschool was already shaping up to be the best year ever as he turned 17 and was ready for another school year.

One night when he discovered his girlfriend at the time cheating on him Warren became incredibly angry and stressed out. His anger built until finally his body changed. Metallic wings tore painfully from his back, his skin turned blue and with a mind of their own his wings slashed his fiancée and her lover to ribbons. Warren of course was horrified about what happened and contacted his father who came over and was shocked to see that his son was not only a murdered but a mutant!

His father covered up the murder but forced Warren to remain in hiding at their home until they could find a way to “fix” this problem. Hating to be confined for so long Warren became more and more agitated and an argument between father and son led to Warren once again losing control and almost killing his father.

Unable to keep the secret of his mutation like others mutants could have done Warren's parents had little choice but to find a place where he could at least be taken out of the public eye lest he cause scnadal for the family. At this time the Worthingtons where contact by Emma Frost, who seemed to have just the school for the youngest Worthington to attend. With his parents helping to keep his murders concealed and after making a rather large donation to the Massachusett's Academy Warren was enrolled and been a student there for almost 6 months now. He still is struggling to find control over himself and is learning his new place in the world.
