The world was pretty much a hell hole now since Apocalypse showed his monstrous face. It seemed like the world could never stay peaceful for more than a few moments. Every time you thought you could sit back and relax, something bad happened in the blink of an eye. From mutant hated organizations to world disasters, it was hard to find time to just sit and think, let your body rest. Today, what we have is a rare opportunity for just that, relaxation. Things back at the Xavier Institute were a little bit hectic, so the stunningly beautiful, Nubian queen Ororo traveled out to the city. Now sitting on a bench looking out at the Hudson River, the Weather Goddess reflected on events past.
The area was virtually empty at the moment, which was nice since she'd have no interruptions. Ororo let out a tired sigh as she twirled her right index finger, causing a small gust of wind to circle around in front of her. The Hudson River looked beautiful on this day, more than usual. Maybe it was the fact that the world was crumbling that made something as simple as water look so astonishing. She ran her free hand through her long, white hair and onto the back of her neck where it rested for a moment. Ororo wondered how long her time here, relaxing, would last before someone somewhere needed assistance.

Namor's body surged with strength and power as he swam through the water like a human missle. A grunt of effort escaped his lips as a tremendous weight slammed into his chest. He turned quickly to view his attacker, a monstrous creature no doubt churned out by Apocalypse's labs. The creature was almost twelve feel tall and seemed like a bizzare cross between man and shark with cybernetic components to it. Apparently the evil dictator had realized most of his troops where ill equipped to follow the Prince of Atlantis through the murky depths of the ocean. This creature however had apparently been waiting for him when he attempted to strike at another of the Apocalypse's convoys.
The fight had been furious and both combatants had been injured with dozens of wounds. They had battled so far that a fight which had begun in the middle of the Atlantic had come all the way to the Eastern Coast of America. He surged up the water way and the beast was close behind. Shifting his weight to the side he narrowly avoided a slashing claw before smashing a blow across the monster's face. The creature roared in pain and grabbed him around the throat. Namor realized that this beast might be well suited to fighting in the water but perhaps it wouldn't do so well on land. Reaching quickly he clasped his hands onto monster's wrists and with a thought he drove both of them straight upwards.
They exploded out of the water like an explosion of force that sent water flying everywhere. The shark-creature gasped in suprise as they flew higher. He watched its mouth open and close like it was gasping for breath. Apparently Apocalypse hadn't planned on Namor being willing to take this fight onto the land, or he had just hoped his monster would kill him before that option presented itself.
Turning in mid-air Namor placed the creature beneath him and flew straight towards the ground at over 100 miles per hour. They slammed into the Earth with enough force to leave a crater. Twisting and rolling he quickly positioned himself on the creature's back and clasped both hands on either side of its head.
"Foul beast," he exclaimed through gritted teeth, "taste the fury of ATLANTIS!" With the final word he gave a surge of strength that shattered the monster's neck and turned its head almost all the way around. He let the monster convulse in its death throes for several more moments before rolling away and kneeling on the ground. His breath came in quick gasps as he let the exertion of the fight fade away and hoped his body would heal the gashes and bite marks along his body soon enough.

Ororo's brown eyes shifted towards the water as she spotted motion. It couldn't be fish since the outline of what was coming was way to big. And this was a river so it couldn't be something like a shark or whale, no this was something else. Ororo stood from the bench and took a step forward. It was at that moment that a large object burst through to the surface tossing water all over her white dress shirt and black slacks. Instinctively she gasped for air when the water hit her, a frown starting to form. What she thought was one large object turned out to be two different entities, one of them resembling a man. The other was something she hadn't seen before. It looked like the type of monster one would see in an old horror film. Ororo wiped the water from her face just in time to see them hurling back to the ground at an incredible pace.
She quickly flew backwards to make it out of range of the crash radius. "By the Goddess.." she said as she was witness to the horrific way in which the beast was put down. Well it could have been worse. He could have chosen to snatch the head right off. Ororo eyed the individual, but kept her distance. She tried to find the right words for such and entrance. "Well then... that was... entertaining."

Namor continued to kneel on the ground as his breathing slowly came under control. The humid air from being so close to the river felt refreshing and slowly his body started to knit itself back together. Within moments the most minor of the damage was fixed. Before he could do anything else though The Prince of Atlantis's pointed ears heard a voice nearby. The moment he realized he was no longer alone Namor leapt to his feet and assumed his fighting stance.
His scans scanned about until he saw a woman with dark skin and stark white hair watching him. While her intentions seemed innocent enough Namor was no fool and now about to let some slave of Apocalypse finish what the beast had started.
"Name thyself woman and state your intentions. The Prince of Atlantis is not one to be ambushed twice in the same day." Her next words would grealy impact his actions. Truthfully though he was hoping for a peaceful encounter for once, something he hadn't experienced since coming to the surface.

Ororo tossed up her hands in a submissive manner to let this male know that she was of no threat to him. She wasn't about to attack him unless he gave her a valid reason. Now Ororo didn't like being told what to do by some foreign person, but in this situation she would go along. "I am Ororo Munroe and I mean you no harm." She dropped her arms to her sides, shaking them a little bit to get the water off. It seemed like the small injuries that were on the man's body had by now healed up completely. She took note of the little wings on his ankles and his muscular physique. "I was just out here trying to clear my mind when you and that... creature interrupted me."
Ororo paused for a moment. "Wait, did you say Prince of Atlantis? Isn't that place just a myth?" She started to think that this guy was just a mutant with a possible mental illness. Atlantis? Really? Was that even possible? She'd read books about the place but there was yet to be any evidence of the place actually existing.

As the woman's eyes scanned his form Namor did the same as he scanned her own appearence. While he did note that she lingered on his ankle wings and seemed to have a skeptical look on her face at the mention of his homeland. She even voiced her skepticism at his comment. However she made it obvious that her intentions for the moment where peaceful. Easing his stand Namor assumed a more relaxed position with his arms as his side, his fists unclenched and even his jaw seemed to relax.
"Atlantis a myth?" he asked her, "I assure you it was anything but a myth before Apocalypse and his legions came and destroyed it. Sadly I fear that I may be all that remains."

The signs of this man relaxing were thanked by the goddess. She wouldn't have to defend herself from unwarranted attack now, which was always fantastic. Ororo looked back to the creature that no longer held on to any life. It was rather unfortunate that it had to die because more than likely, it was once human. Apocalypse and his experimenting on people sickening the Weather Goddess and pissed her off to no end. Her eyes rested on the apparent Prince of Atlantis. "I am sorry to hear that. Apocalypse has destroyed the homes of many people. He needs to be stopped as soon as possible." Ororo had grown tired over the last years. She'd hardened a bit, no longer putting up with as much bull crap as she usually did. "Tell me, Prince of Atlantis, do you have a name?"
