The owl landed on his shoulder, which messed him a little bit. He was glad that the owl wasn't one of those large ones. His shoulders wouldn't have been able to support the thing. Davis looked at the owl then the girl, then back to the owl. It really was a pretty creature with eyes so full of life and personality. "Me? Plain and simple version is teleportation. A little more detailed, I can manipulate space and reality allowing me to travel to any place I desire and any time period." He gave her small smile.

Claire looks at him with the owl on his shoulder. She smiled softly, "A juvenile screech owl is what he is. Your power seems interesting. To be able to travel where you please. She stated smiling softly. Wondering what it would be like to travel where you wanted. Knowing what time period she would go to. Shaking her head she smiled, getting along with someone that use to be on the enemies team. Two different people having things in common. Claire knew she needed to talk to the Professor about her problems with Scott.

Electro-magnetism kicking up, Polaris extended her right hand towards Slipstream (or so it seemed). Curling all five fingers back, Lorna reached out for a trash bin. Creaking and groaning from the strain, within another moment's passing it was plucked from it's metallic bolts and yanked at Lorna. Krr-klot~!Ripped, the trash bin would rush past, only to be hurled into the not-so-close lake. Awaiting the faint sound of splashing, Polaris was assured she'd have the two's undivided attention. Smirking that ever trademark gesture, the Genoshan elite made her vocabulary known. " There's no need to waste any time... you have powers, I have powers. We're both gifted, or cursed as the news media would prefer it called. That in mind, why are you out in public and not with your precious Hellions?," she asked, ignoring the female for a moment. Right now, Davis Cameron was of most interest to her, due to the fact his abilities demonstrated had particular value to the next-in-line.[/ul]

"Yea it's great to have. I can be anywhere I want in the blink of an eye. Comes in handy on those really boring and rainy days." He'd lost count how many times he would teleport to a dry location whenever it rained back in Boston. With his powers it would of been foolish to sit inside and complain about the weather. Davis reached up with his left hand and stroked a wing of the owl. The creature was amazing. This warm night with a new friend just had to be interrupted. Nothing great ever lasted long. Davis' smile turned to a frown when he felt the familiar presence of another. This was not going to end well. He looked towards the once bolted down garbage can as it went hurling into the lake.
"Bloody hell," he muttered to himself. One of Magneto's daughters decided to grace them with her presence. Why? "I'm not with the Hellions anymore, love. And last I remember being out in public wasn't a crime. Then again I have been on Earth for the last five years so things might've changed." Davis was not about to let her intimidate him or Claire. He was beyond these simple emotions now, not to say he didn't feel them at all, he just didn't let them show.

Claire was having such a pleasant time with Davis when it got interrupted by the green haired woman. The woman's attention seemed more focused on Davis. Claire stood up, she knew that woman or she had heard about her from others at the Institute. The owl flew up and onto Claire's shoulder, it sensing the tension in the air. Claire stood up watching the crushed trash can. Seeing how this woman's powers were so much like her father's. Claire narrowed her eyes at the woman, wondering why she decided to grace her presence to them. Not wanting to cause such a ruckus amongst the normies. Claire looked at them, Perhaps we should take this away from the publics eyes? Whatever it is.

," she began, right hand's fingers twitching with a surge of electro-magnetic energy. Immediately moving it towards the lake, those same fleshy tendrils went to work, channeling and focusing her massive power towards the submerged trash bin. In several more moments, underneath the surface, the trash bin was transfigured into a blade of sorts that proceeded to spin rapidly, shooting water rapidly in the air where it went. " ... I'm not afraid of being seen." This said, Lorna lowered her arm and the water show ceased, but not before capturing the attention of some park visitors. That didn't matter now, so Polaris merely continued her speaking. " Apocalypse may control entire countries, but he doesn't control me. You two however... well... no wonder he was able to do so, I see it clearly now." Cowards, and weak. That's how the Mistress of Magnetism perceived them.[/ul]

Davis had to agree with Claire. If there was going to be any violence he preferred it to be out of the way of innocents. No one needed to be hurt in this little conflict. Davis leaned forward not wanting to stand up from his comfortable spot on the bench. That was until she started displaying her powers again. He had to admit though, her powers were pretty awesome. Now if only she put them to good use instead of working against them and showing off. The Aussie rose from his seat and took a few steps towards her in an none threatening manner so that she wouldn't be compelled to attack him. A smirk formed as he placed a hand in his pocket.
"What is it that you want anyway? Just here to try and terrorize us?" Davis never understood why people liked to pick on others for their own enjoyment. It pissed him off to think about it. "Now I don't mind you joining us, but if all you want to do is make our lives hell... kindly leave."

Claire looked at Polaris. Knowing that this woman was fixated on power and not afraid to show her powers in public. Glaring at the woman, Claire spoke to the owl,Go to her and show her how tough we are my old friend. Do what you must but don't injure yourself. The owl nodded as he took flight as it flew over to Polaris flapping all around her peaking at her arms and legs. Claire stood there nodding to the owl to take off."Now if that didn't get your attention I have more then enough power to show you. But if it's a fight you want I would like to take it out of the publics eye."

. These two clowns didn't register on her radar, though in their defense Polaris didn't know exactly what they could do - until Claire's winged friend moved towards her. Rak, rak, rak~!The pecking wouldn't be felt, thanks to her shielding, but the actions themselves annoyed the green-haired vixen. " Idiot...," she said, eying the owl taking flight. " ... let me show you why I'm here." Krr-Rssssk~!!!Sparkling lights radiated from all over Lorna Lehnsherr for a moment, then lashed out like an electrical vine at Blue Angel's companion. In a matter of seconds, it was trapped - held several feet above the trio in the air - and unable to do much but hope to avoid burning or shocking itself. " That should cease anymore tom foolery." Polaris did not like being pestered, and with the owl in her clutches, the girl was at least guaranteed to listen to her. The Australian, not so much, though if he was wanting to impress Claire, he'd not want to harm his chances by failing to insure the owl's well being. " Though if either one of you attempt anything like that again, I will burn this creature." Lorna did not bluff, keep that in mind. Those who had encountered her in hostile situations, they all knew better. The first rule of leaving with all your limbs and senses intact: appease the Mistress of Magnetism. At all costs. " Now then..." Getting back to Davis and his remarks, Polaris smirked that hybrid confident-seductive smirk of hers. " ... I do not intend to terrorize anyone, though I will defend myself if provoked. I'm actually here on personal business, and it just so happens you've found yourself in a wrong place at the wrong time sort of predicament. You, Australian, are of the Hellions. I want to know what you intend to do about Apocalypse, and the pathetic condition of your comrades. Surely this girl here isn't the answer, if all she can do is endanger others... like this owl." Polaris was so cold, oh so cold. Anything was up for decimation, as Lorna was an equal opportunity eradicator. " You know I can kill either of you, right here, right now, don't you?," she asked, rather all of a sudden. Laughing lightly, that smirk never left her face for a moment. " I crushed your teammates, with the X-Men, and they had the numerical advantage. That said, I'm awaiting your answer... boy." Yeah, she said it. Lorna Lehnsherr had called Davis Cameron, sister of Heather Cameron, a 'boy'. That should rile him up, and God knew how much Genosha's eldest heiress enjoyed that.[/ul]

Davis knew right off the bat that having that little owl trying to attack her was a dumb idea. This was Polaris, one of the toughest criminals that his team had ever faced. Though he had never fought her personally, he knew of the things that she could do. A small sigh escaped him when the bird became trapped in an electrical cage. It was pretty obvious that Claire had no idea who they were messing with right now. "You don't have to worry about us trying anything." He turned to give Claire a look before turning back to Polaris. "We're not looking for conflict."
He shook his head at her unnecessary comment of killing. He truly wasn't in the mood to be dealing with this foolishness. "I don't know what the Hellions are going to do about Apocalypse. And your attempts at insulting me are pretty much useless. I'm not about to rise to your pitiful bait. I've got better things to do with me life." Yea maybe five years ago calling him boy would have pissed him off, but not anymore. He'd learned long ago that words were only as hurtful as you let them be. Most people only wanted a reaction out of you anyway, giving them more power over you. Davis wasn't about to let that happen. "Apocalypse will be dealt with when the time comes. When is that time? I don't know."

Claire looked at the woman lowering her temper. She saw Davis look at her as she did her best to remain calm. Never having fought in a battle, she knew that her actions would get the attention of the professor and jean. Calming herself she sighed. She knew her actions were rash as she stayed calm for protection of the owl. The last thing she wanted to see was the owl get hurt because of her actions. Cursing to herself she looked at the woman,What is it you want?

," she said, eyes scanning from Davis to Claire and back. " And not bad looking either." Though which one that was aimed at - if not both - was a bit confusing. No matter, it could be considered some form of compliment. Then again, it could just be some sort of manipulative mind game. " What I want is simple... to actually remove Apocalypse from the face of this planet. The X-Men sit and wait, while the Hellions bicker and frolic. Meanwhile, the Brotherhood is left with all the work, yet anything they attempt is seen with contempt and as a potential attack that must be thwarted. I come, not as an enemy, but as an individual with an offer..." Interesting, but what was the Mistress of Magnetism offering? Many theories could circulate, though in the end they'd all be put to rest when Polaris herself answered this. " I need your services, Slipstream. Maybe the other one, too, if she can be of use." There, it was said. Now, the response.[/ul]

Davis looked from the green haired princess to the red head at his side. Thankfully the bird had been freed from its prison. She could have very well just killed the bird if she really wanted to so that meant that there was some good in her. No one was truly evil, at least not in his eyes. Davis listened to her words, all of them true oddly enough. The Hellions were at the mansion doing absolutely nothing with their lives other than the usual bullcrap. He had grown tired of it a long time ago. Davis wanted to do something better with his life which was why he left Earth in the first place. He crossed his arms rubbing his chin a bit.
"I want Apocalypse gone as much as the next bloke so I'm willing to hear ya out. Can't speak for the both of us though." Maybe this would be a good thing to do. Instead of moping around doing nothing, he could do something to help in the process of defeating Apocalypse. He just hoped that Polaris wouldn't do anything like stab him in the back if he agreed to what she wanted.

Claire heard Lorna talk about taking down Apocalypse. She didn't know what to do. She was part of the Institute and she knew that she would get into trouble if she sided with them. "I would love to help out, but I am part of the Institute. I don't know if I am qualified. THe only thing I could is give advice and help if wildlife is nearby." She stated as the owl landed on her shoulder. She looked at Davis and smiled, wondering if she decided to go with them she would be making a big mistake.

," she said, right before turning to Claire. Up until this point Polaris hadn't really looked at her, but now she studied the female's facial expressions and posture. From what she could tell, Blue Angel was more prone to avoiding problems than solving them. Of course, there could be more to the animal lover, but that would come later. Right now, Lorna had to address her: " That is the extent of your abilities?" Lorna would laugh, if it wasn't so disappointing. Still, every power had it's use. Maybe Xavier saw that and was working on it, or, like Emma Frost, they were wasting valuable time and ignoring the prowess Claire possessed. Idiots, all of them. " Even then, you could be of use. I need individuals with the brains and brawn, mutants who can make a difference. If you know any, now would be the time to tell me... same for you.," she replied back to Davis. Maybe between the two of them, they could suggest or find worthy soldiers for her crusade. If not, well, they'd be labeled as useless as the next klutz.[/ul]
