Rachel had been in this strange place for approximately a week, spending small amounts of time in various places, wandering around. It took her a bit to realize that this wasn't her home, though it was much easier when she'd come across mutants. Most of the ones in her words had been hunted down and imprisoned. The ones here.... well she had to read a few minds to understand it fully.
The situation came down to a few simple things. One, she couldn't connect to the phoenix force here. For a reason unknown to her, the moment she arrived it disappeared from her and she had yet to successfully locate or connect back with it. This unfortunately meant that she was stuck in this place until she was able to do so. As each day passed, the urge to go back home increased. Though while this wasn't technically possible, the next best option was still available.
The gates came into view, and an issue popped into her mind. This wasn't her world, there was no record of her and there was no guarantee her code would still work. The people she knew were quite a bit younger than she was used to. Pursing her lips, she activated her powers, the glowing symbol appearing over her eye as she raised from the ground and floated into the grounds, ignoring the fact that she was drawing the attention of the small amount of students nearby.
"There we go." She stated in a peppy tone, meandering her way slowly towards the front door. This was going to be an interesting day.

Scott was humming to himself as he walked through the halls of the school towards the grounds. Today was a good day, he was wearing his combat uniform and was waiting for a session to start....ok it didn't begin for a while but he liked to be prepared. As he exited from the door he saw someone float over the gate. Uh oh...this wasn't good, he sent out a telepathic call to Jean that they might have an intruder and walked towards the girl who was walking towards the exit. GLancing at her, she looked quite familiar....but he wasn't sure why, maybe a former student or something? folding his arms he said "Hello....may I help you?

Sitting at her desk in her X-men uniform, Jean was finishing up some progress reports on the new squad she and Scott had been in charge of training. Another session was about to be held soon, and she would have to write a report on that once it was done, so she wanted to get these out the way and to the professor.
Just as she was about to finish the section on Nightcrawler, her typing came to a halt as she caught Scott's call in her mind of a potential intruder on the grounds. That was just great. No time to be wasted, Jean turned away from her laptop and headed towards the front gates of the Mansion, taking a stand next to Scott. Jean couldn't help but feel an awkward connection to this girl. Not to mention how much she resembled Jean herself...something weird was going on....
"Yes, will you please state your reason for being here?"

Of course someone was bound to notice her coming in, she was expecting as much. What she didn't account for was the chance of that being him. The familiar sounding voice caused her to turn quickly and face whoever was speaking to her. But any words that might've been making their way towards her mouth slipped out of existence as she gaped at the very-much younger version of her father.
"I..um... She stuttered, eyes catching the addition of her mother into the mix now. Out of all of the weird things she'd experienced, this was by far the oddest, going hand in hand with a bucket of confusion into the mix. They didn't even look in their twenties let alone old enough to have a kid. Explaining this would only be easy through Jean.
"You're both so young!" She exclaimed finally, starting to pace slowly but keeping her eyes locked on them as if staring at a circus act. "I mean, I came here to see if I could stay for awhile. But this? Might be a little too...creepy." With a sigh she stopped and ran her fingers lightly through her hair,
"God, are you two even dating yet?"

Got raised an eyebrow at the new girl before giving a slight side look to Jean. The way this girl talked was as if she knew them...for a moment Scott toyed with the idea of it being the Sister Jean told him about...but if it was a sister that hadn't been seen in a long time surely wouldn't Jean's first reaction be 'oh my god! sister I've missed you!' or something along those lines...
How did she know about the dating as well? once again it brought up the question that she had talked to one of them previously...Scott replied to her question with "Well we've been on...wait no, who are you? and how do you know us?"

Yes, Jean also gave a 'wtf' look to the girl and glanced back over at Scott as he looked to her. This girl was definitely weird. And where does she get off asking such personal questions? How did she even know that she and Scott here dating? It was strange....
"How about you start explaining who you are before you start asking personal questions like that..." Jean responded politely as possible. "What Scott asked, how do you know about us?"

Scott started to reply, which made her hopeful that he would be distracted by this long enough to forget the minute detail of her breaking and entering into the institution. And for that brief moment she believed that it was possible. Then he asked again who she was, now questioning how she knew them as well. And her mother chimed in with her polite yet firm set of questions as well. "Explaining is a little more complicated than it seems."
With a short sigh, she ran her hands through her hair once more. "My name is Rachel. I know so much about you because... oh that won't work."
Her lips pursed together for a moment, her foot tapping against the ground as she thought. "Alright. Take two. My last name is Summers. My codename is Marvel Girl after my mother, and in that obviously-not-here reality, my parents are Scott Summers and Jean Grey. I used the Phoenix force in an attempt to go back in time and change what had happened and wound up here. Where you two exist, are alive and rediculously young to have kids and if you don't believe me, Jean, you can use your telepathy and read the truth directly from your mind." Like any nervous and utterly confused teenager of her age, Rachel's speech came out in a stating facts sort of tone, though at a much faster pace than normal.
It was, however, her hope that Jean would take her on word regarding this. Mostly because there were things in her mind that she'd rather not share with the class, so to speak. Memories that wouldn't be so friendly for this universe. The sight of Xavier and many other mutants dying, the mansion blowing up, being used as a hound to hunt her own kind down to the brink of extinction. This place, this time, was far before any of that was even thought of. Here there was hope of changing that future.. here she could probably make an actual difference.
With an overly-prepared expression she watched the two carefully, biting her bottom lip and waiting for their judgment call past her rant.

Okay....well that was a lot of infomation to take in at once. The first piece of infomation...that her last name was summers instantly made him think that possibly his brother had got married. Then he raised an eyebrow when she said that her code name was Marvel girl after her Mother and sudenly the Mutant didn't like where this was going...not one bit. Ok...that took a little bit of understanding to get. So she was claiming that she was from the future...or like...an alternate dimension where he and Jean had a kid and were married? well he would assume they were married...even though this Rachel Summers said Jean Grey instead of Summers...but that wasn't the issue at hand right now and he felt a little foolish that he was taking this maddness seriously.
Next he wanted to know...what was a...Pheonix Force? was it like...a time machine/teleporter device, if it was that would help verify her story...after all pretty hard to deny someone is from the future when they have futuristic super tech. He gave Jean another side ways glance and thought in her direction Are you believing this? before he turned back to Rachel and asked "Okay...Rachel Summers...normally any mutant is free to stay here as long as he or she wishes...and we don't tend to ask many questions based on the nature of many of our student's pasts...but you're kind of making some pretty wild claims so I have a three questions...what year are you from...and what year do you think it is here....and lastly...what's a....'Pheonix...Force'?

Jean folded her arms listening to the strange girl's story. Rachel Summers...the daughter of Scott Summers and Jean Grey. She was from the future and used something called the "Phoenix Force" to travel back to this time. Oh yes, Jean could easily call BS on this story...except...it wasn't.
"...I sense she's telling the truth Scott. There wasn't a lie in anything that she had just said. At least, I didn't pick anything up..." she said looking over at Cyclops and then back to Rachel. This whole ordeal was...quite interesting...to put it lightly. In actuality, it freaked Jean out a lot because her Telepathy sensed truth in Rachel's mind as she was speaking. She waited for Rachel to answer Scott's questions.

"Time travel isn't that simple. There's no way of knowing that what is happening here will affect where i'm from, because certain things there have already happened. And once something's done, it can't be undone. It can only prevent the same thing from happening." She said slowly, not really liking the realization that saving her parents here wouldn't save her real parents. "This place is a lot different than where i'm from."
Though his final question still had Rachel going through a loop. He honestly....honestly didn't know what phoenix force was? "There are certain things....I just won't say. Phoenix force is a celestial enity. I was a host because my mother was a host.... though she was far greater than I was with it. If its not here..." Than i'm stuck. Just great. She added in her mind.
Rachel.....wasn't sure what to do from here. She could spend a millennium trying to convince them of the truth. An idea dawned on her, and her formerly disheartened expression showed this. "If you're willing, I can show you right here.

For a second he had the feeling he was being lectured on time travel by this girl...yep, she could be his daughter...well alternate reality daughter, he had to keep specifyng that to stop it being all weird...but he knew all about time travel, you don't watch 3 years of Dr. Who and not learn something about time travel!
The Pheonix Force issue...she semed to not want to shine much light on...does that mean it was something she felt he should know about? something that was a major part of his life back in...whatever universe or time she came from? "Well...okay then, show us...but we suggest after you've done it....and we're convinced your not hostile, which by the way I'm more or less convinced of already you will have to speak to Professor Xavier or Mr. Leshnerr...they'd want to know we had a time traveler here"

The Phoenix Force was a celestial entity. Rachel was the host because her mother was the host. Jean herself was supposedly Rachel's mother. So did that mean Jean was going to become the host of this phoenix? Whatever that was. Jean didn't like the idea of being possessed...
"Yes Rachel. If you can please show us, do so."

At least Scott's words gave her a little hope about the situation, though he may just be playing to be nice to the 'crazy girl', he seemed to believe her in words. As for the phoenix force..... there was a time and place for everything. When it did surface again, then her knowledge would be handy. Now it would just be useless clutter making them worried over something that may never happen.
Once they agreed, she nodded and took a step towards them, raising her hands. "Just try to stay calm, kay?" Positioning one hand hovering over both of their temporal lobe area's, she closed her eyes and took a short breath it. Mostly to calm herself and keep her mind focused. She would be kind with what she showed them, stuff about her childhood. Up to a certain age, a certain point. The symbol over her eye flickered to life and illuminated her face as she started with her earliest memories. She showed big things, birthdays, events, her powers awakening, and mixed in smaller bits of her personal life with her parents. Pictures, days of simply spending time with them. She flicked through the years like an album, coming to a slow halt around the time that she was fifteen, showing bits of her being apart of the X-faction then.
"That should be enough, right?" She asked quietly, taking a quick step back and breaking the link to avoid any unwanted slips of the less-than-pleasant memories stored around that age.

Cyclops shut his eyes as he was shown the pictures of her childhood, he knew if she had telepathy she could be showing him thoughts she just made up but he had the feeling she was telling the truth, towards the end was when he was really convinced though, he spotted he was wearing a suit that he'd already thought of having made for him...one with a hood that provided all over protection. When the vision was over he let out a breath, he stared at Rachel quickly before looking to Jean. He was convinced but he wasn't sure about her so he asked "Uh...so what do you think?"

"I think..." Jean paused looking back at Scott and then back to Rachel. The images she had shown her were true. Jean didn't pick up the slightest hint of a lie at all from this young woman and besides, the resemblance between Rachel and Jean was uncanny.
"I think we have ourselves a little family here...and we haven't even been dating for more than a couple of weeks..." Jean smiled. Yes, this was extremely weird. To have a daughter with Scott....who was around their age and who was from the future.
" I mean we could always do a DNA test, but better yet I am a Telepath, I could easily tell if she was lying or not. So I guess...welcome home?" Jean chuckled.
"Scott, I think she has your nose..."
