Emma was walking through Central Park. She would never be seen here otherwise for this reason. To find a girl. A very dangerous girl. And Emma wanted her. She had traced the girl all the way to the park. Scanning the busy place, Emma quickly found her. She stuck out a bit sorely. Dark in such a bright place. Too perfect. Emma walked to a small bench near where the girl was. She sat down, careful not to ruffle her white leather hip high jacket. She had on a pair of tight fitting blue jeans and a white corset top. She smiled to herself as she let her thoughts invade Laura's head.
Hello Miss Howlett. You, my dear are a very interesting person. So small and so powerful. A little feral cat if you will. Not unlike your brother. Emma thought with grim satisfaction. She did not turn her head over her shoulder to see the girls reaction. Instead she pulled a small book out of her bag. Timeless River. A old favorite of the White Queens.
You've been looking for him haven't you? Well, dear, I can help you find him. But nothing in this sad old world is free. I have an offer for you. Free room and board. You are a amazing weapon Laura. But your young. And stupidity often follows youth. Whether you accept it or not you need my help.[/color]

Central Park. One of the most well known places in all of New York, and an excellent place to hide away in a crowd. Even Weapon X wouldn't be foolish enough to attack her out in the open in a place like this. Paranoia was part of the job when you were being hunted, though ironically at the same time it kept her senses honed. Always searching, always alert. But even with all of the training, planning, thought and mental scheming, one can't take full account for powerful psychics.
Laura had been walking through the park dressed very much like a regular student, a book in her hand, a backpack next to her as she leaned against a tree. Ideally she looked like many of the other students around, but someone had obviously noticed her, as she realized once the voice sounded in her mind. Automatically her muscles tensed, her jaw tightened and she had the urge to rip the book in her hands to shreds. She hated psychics.
It was a smart move to mention her brother, but her mind had been often on him, so there was an automatic distrust. No guarantee how much of her mind had already been infiltrated by this stranger. Bad move. I'm not that easy to win over, psychic. And I don't take kindly to untrustworthy people worming their way into my mind.
She slid her book in her pack, her eyes scanning around the park. Unfortunately there was no guarantee that she'd see any sign, since they work entirely from mind there's little need for a bodily reaction. What makes you believe I need your help? As you said, i'm a weapon. Given enough time, i WILL find him.

Emma allowed a small smile to creep on her face. The girl was a bit of a spitfire, as to be expected. So much like Logan i was uncanny.
You know your very much like him. Your brother. Quick to judge. Act first think later. And your brutal animal strength. I'm sure he would be pleased to finally meet you. He doesn't much bother with familial ties, as I'm sure you've noticed. Emma thought with a bit o sardonic wit thrown in.
I can assure you, I'm not worming. Your mind is open to any who want to look. And as fas as trust goes, I can completely assure you I mean no harm. I merely want to give you what you want. Your brother. Among other things, which I can provide for you. I merely want to help you. I'm a generous woman when it comes to things I want. Emma finished with a grim point. This girl would make a fine addition to her new team. And as far as the girls benefits, Logan happened to be on the team as well.

Another stab, though she did undoubtedly sound as if she were familiar with him. But still, the mind-witch couldn't be trusted, no matter how she described James. My brother and I have met before, under all forms of technicality. But that is none of your concern, its my business not yours.
Laura picked up the pack and stood, nostrils flaring as she started to take in the scents of the other people nearby. She would flush this person out one way or another. Her fingers twitched slightly, itching with the urge to slide her claws out and start threatening people. The only thing that kept this urge at bay was the fact that so many of them were innocent people, they weren't responsible for this person.
Hmph. Assure all you want, lady, i'm not biting. I won't pretend that I haven't noticed your tricky wording. Wanting to 'help' me, when you're in it for nothing but yourself. Yet conveniently you have neither shown yourself nor your reasons for this. A small smile twitched at Laura's lips. This woman spoke the exact same way they used to towards her. She was nothing but a weapon to her, they cared nothing more than for using her for their evil deeds. But always with the friendly tricky wording.
You can try again when you gain some manners, mind-witch. Cheeky? Yes. Laura simply was that way. She didn't need to take this from this kind of person.
(for whatever may happen in this post, Emma and I have already discussed it. permission given))

Emma smiled at Laura's attitude. The girl was smarter than Emma had anticipated. All the tests and surgeries done to her. But it was working. Ema wanted to get her anger pent up. She could feel the girl biting back her powers. Perfect. Amazingly, like Logan.
Mind witch? Oh dear you have only just begun to understand my powers. Emma thought to the girl. Her mind voice growing more and more haughty. Emma went about putting her book away on her purse and puling her Coach bag unto her shoulder, her blond hair slightly blowing in the breeze. She turned nonchalantly glancing at Laura as if searching past the parks limits to the houses beyond. Emma made her way across the park, heading towards the homes, which happened to be along the way of Laura. She turned behind her, as if feigning hearing a voice or something. She was nearing Laura by the seconds, blending with the normal park crowd.
Two feet in front of Laura, Emma slowly started forming er diamond skin, starting at her right shoulder. She feigned tripping and hit Laura hard in the shoulder with her diamond form. Emma, still standing, looked over at Laura, "Welcome to Massachusetts Academy Miss Howlett" Emma said as she slipped her left forefinger and middle finger gently on Laura's head, inducing a mild coma.
