They arrived, machines, 30 feet tall, armoured with state of the art laser weaponry, high calibre machine guns, short range missile capability, highly durable coils to catch and restrain mutants, and if need be, deliver a painful shock.
The Sentinels had arrived on Genosha, their scanners could pick up the X-gene, there was no hiding, they attacked without remorse or mercy. The American Government said they would be "bringing terrorists to justice," they lied. The Machines were under orders via their programming to attack and exterminate. Their numbers blocked out the sun as they descended on Hammer Bay. Dozens upon Dozens of machines.
The common person had no real training in fighting, the only ones who could save them, were The Brotherhood, if they could not, everyone would be slaughtered.

Magneto was on the balcony of his palace, looking out in horror as metal death rained from the skies, giant machines. "Brotherhood! To me at once, the enemy is at our gates and wish to undo everything we have created! We must stop them!" he announced it over the Brotherhood communication device, not that it was needed, it was impossible to miss what was happening.
Magneto took to the air, floating towards the enemy, instantly two became victim to his magnetics, taking hold of the metals at the area around their necks and ramming them into each other before sending them hurtling towards another pair. One was so bold as to land right before him and send some coil...thing towards him. "Lead Target Identified, Subject: Magneto" he heard in a horrid metallic voice from the machine beast.
"Fool!" Magneto spat back, before pulling the machine apart, breaking it down to its most basic components before blasting them towards another, every nut and bolt acting like a bullet. He looked about, where was his Brotherhood?

Morphia had been sleeping when the loud noise of the machines arriving blasted through the air ways. She sat up and saw what was going on and instantly started scrambling for her clothes, not much help she could do out there, but this was her job now.
She heard the communicator and knew this was really a threat, she pulled on a pair of leather pants and wore a black tank top and the lowest high heeled boots she could find, after today she was going to invest in a pair of flat boots. Rushing towards the scene she stood behind Magneto. "Where are the others?" She asked, Morphia knew she wouldn't be much help alone.

Lorna Lehnsherr was not pleased, not pleased at all. First she had to deal with a troublesome mutant in New York, and now she was labeled some kind of terrorist by the Americans. Why was it that only America did this? Didn't France or Italy have testicles, too? No matter, the Mistress of Magnetism told herself, eyes scanning the accumulating battle before and below her. For now, Lorna would remain inside the palace confines, at least until she knew which side would benefit.
Daddy raised no fool.
"M'lady!" shouted a voice, from the left and rear of her. "M'lady! The entire island is under attack, your father has taken lead!"
"Is that so?"
"Indeed." informed the individual, a common palace lackey, probably some mutant with the ability to grow back hair. "Shall I be informed of your intentions?"
"Father can handle himself." she shot back, fingers of the right hand brushing idle strands of hair back behind the ear. "My place is here, at least until I decide otherwise."
"Though strong, unity always trumps individual strength."
"You speak as if I intend to abandon my flesh, you could not be more wrong." corrected Lorna, eyes shifting towards this nameless commonplace. "I merely await the perfect moment, to move too soon is to risk losing the element of surprise and victory. The way it appears, Genosha cannot afford to lose such a gamble."
Nodding, the lackey rose and took his leave. Finally alone, Polaris considered her options. Never blinking, never moving, she remained vigilant, ever patient, for that one moment to arrive.

The arrival of Exodus was announced by a pyroplasmic blast exploding through the chest of a Sentinel. He took to the skies, telekinetic energy and pyroplasmic blasts in every direction as he tried to take on the small army of machines. His efforts, for what they were worth, got a small area that had formerly been in serious trouble relieved, but it was a case of much done far more to do.
"For Magneto! For GENOSHA!" he roared as a telekinetic grip pull a Sentinel in half, each piece being cast towards other Sentinels. He spotted one tear up a street with hits automatic weaponry, rounds capable of punching wholes in a tank without effort, as the bullets got dangerously close to blowing apart a group of terror struck mutants, he flew down, erecting a telekinetic field to stop the bullets, erecting a full shield when it and an ally of its attempted to bombard him with laser and missile fire. When he was given a moments peace as they reloaded their weapons, he unleashed a pair of his pyroplasmic blasts, melting what passed for heads and upper chests.
His powers were increasing, to a minor degree, the city, Hammerbay, was aware he was present and the people had faith, but it was a weak faith as a body count rose and buildings collapsed.

When the call for all of the Brotherhood to defend Genosha came, Nassr was relaxing in his room with one of the local female mutants. The two of them were resting up after a night of funtime and planned on spending the day together. But thanks to those damn sentinels, their plans would have to be rescheduled for some other time. Nassr geared up in a simple get up, black tank with black jeans and combat boots. He was excited to finally have something to do, but pissed that it was because his new homeland was being attacked by creatures created by human scum.
Nassr gave a wink to his lady friend before blasting through the open window to the battlefield. Upon arrival he saw that Magneto and Exodus were already making scrap metal out of the mechanized terrors. Guess it was time to step up his game and show the humans that attacking Genosha was the dumbest thing that they could ever do. Nassr hovered in the air arms folded over his chest with a smirk on his face. One of the sentinels turned to face the mutant and immediately fired a missile right at him. "Stupid machine!"
Before the missile was too close, a strong wind current shot up from below forcing the projectile to change course. Another current sent the missile hurling right back at the very sentinel that fired it, nailing the thing right in its hideous face. Nassr let out a chuckle as the explosion blew the sentinel's head to pieces causing it to topple over into another one. "Let's take this up some more," he said to himself. The wind mutant fly towards the nearest machine, weaving past bullets and other projectiles until he was behind it.
With a yell of strength, he extended his arms then brought them inwards on the creature's neck, but paused before making contact. Instead powerful razor sharp gusts of wind sliced into the circuitry of the neck. Nassr flew backwards just in time as sparks erupted followed by flames. As long the Brotherhood was around, Genosha would not be falling anytime soon. That's a guarantee.

Wanda had been laying on her bed contemplating the actions her father had done over the last few days. When he told her of the Morlock slaughter in the New York Sewers, it enraged her that humans could be so cruel. She had always rallied behind Magneto, supporting his word 100%. Not only because he was the man who had given her life, but because she did believe in his causes. Not really the whole 'down with the human race' act. In fact she had no clue about the destruction of the humans her father had been planning. All she had known about was Genosha. A paradise for mutants to live safely and free...and now that little piece of paradise was under attack...because he lost control of his anger and decided to wipe out naval fleet.
The Scarlet Witch heard her father's cry for assistance and as she walked out onto her balcony, she saw the machines the US government had sent to wipe out the 'terrorists'. Morphia and Nassr had arrived to offer their talents to combat the sentinels. Then she spotted her beloved Exodus yelling and giving his usual praise for her father and his country while unleashing a telekinetic assault on the robots. Now she had a choice to make. Fight with her father or just ignore the commotion. The Brotherhood was strong enough to fight with out her aid. It was after all her father's fault that they were being attacked in the first place...he could deal with the back lash. She'd only fight if necessary to save her comrades.

Quicksilver stood on the balcony of his office as the sentinels darkened the skies above Genosha. He turned and in a flash he was back in his pent house apartment, a second later he was in his green and white uniform, it provided minimum air resistence when running after all and allowed him to run faster.
His next stop was the armoury, where he picked up some sachel charges. He packed them in a back pack and sped up to the highest point in the city. Looking down over the railing he saw the head of a sentinel not far below. He took a few steps back to prepare himself, took a satchel out and took a running leap. He wasn't worried as he fell, after all this was painfully slow compared to what he was used to. When the time came he touched down on his feet and ran vertically down the setinel, he set three charges as he went and he was fairly far away as they went off and the sentinel fell in a useless heap. After running a little further, he saw Exodus and yelled to him "Exodus, how are you faring? these machines go down easier then I'd thought. Humans make shoddy weapons, but I suppose you can't hand a chimp a gun and expect him to use it properly"

Magneto continued his attack against the sentinels as their numbers appeared to grow, as the Brotherhood arrived. He watched as they felled Sentinel after Sentinel, but there was an entire city under a demolition process. An attack from a small army would have been an annoyance, but an attack from a small army of these destructive robots was another story. Fighting them one by one would take too long, and while Exodus might be able to crush the lot, he'd do more damage to the city. So there was only one option left to deal with them quickly. "Brotherhood, I have a plan, but I need time. I can generate a giant EMP, large enough to hit each of these beasts, the city will also be affected, but that damage can be undone. Keep those things off my back, this could take a few minutes." he said it through the communication device, just in case more members turned up.
Even as he said it he was generating his energies, weaving it together, preparing, but to hit the entire city, it would take time, such tasks were difficult.

"Air-Rider, be careful, you do not have any form of shielding, if a single bullet hits you it could be your end!" he mentally sent, the fool! He was using wind against gigantic machines, he was lucky he was not dead already. Pride would be his killing, if anything. The French mutant turned to Quicksilver as he appeared, giving a nod of recognition. "I am doing well Quicksilver..." he paused for a moment as Magneto's message came through, nodding to Quicksilver once it was over. "We must form a defensive parameter." It was an obvious thing, but he felt saying it was necessary anyway.
He made his way back into the air, in full view of the Sentinels, and to be sure he got their attention, he made his presence known, and as visible as possible. Arcs of telekinetics lightning like energy exploded from his hands, pulling and pushing the machines, incoming fire was stopped by telekinetic hands before being hurled back, lasers stopped by shields. He drew them away, but as he continued to hurl out assaults, firing Sentinels into the air and generally luring them away from Magneto he realised he was quickly becoming surrounded, and his telekinetic energies would only last so long.

This wasn't happening, it couldn't be happening! Genosha was a safe haven! Hell, why else would any mutant be there? Either way, Magneto was calling for the Brotherhood, and all of the Brotherhood he'd get. That included Toad. Now, he didn't exactly have a plan of action heading into battle, nor did he really care. He was a warrior, and a warrior either won, or died trying, putting his all into a battle. He stood on one of the railings of Genosha's many bridges, the hot wind from the fires raging below ruffling his black hair as he lit up a smoke and took a long drag. He chuckled and smirked a wide, toothy grin as the Sentinels passed by.
"Well, well, well. Mus' be my birfday." He sneered and turned to run along the railings, hopping onto the nearest building and sticking as he shimmied his way up the side of the wall and onto the roof, just above one of the many metal giants.
"Oi! Up 'ere!" He snarled as he threw himself off the building, slamming down with his legs onto the Sentinel's head. A huge dent where he was made the machine, not break down, but slow down enough before he hopped off and made an attack on the next one coming.

(OOC: Since this thread hasn't had a post in over 2 weeks, I'm going to just wrap it up, and we can move things forward)
The Brotherhood performed their task admirably, defending a line around Magneto while he generated the perfect EMP for the occasion, he had to get all of these mechanical monstrosities, and spare as much of Genosha as possible. Work would be required to fix the damages, no need to add more.
Eventually he unleashed his wrath on the Sentinels, a massive wave of electromagnetic energy sprang out, it was visible energy, a sphere of defeat for the machines, and sure enough as the pulse passed each one, they ceased their assault.
Magneto gave a sigh of relief, his aged eyes scanning the horizon. "Those of you who can, gather up these machines and have them placed in the underground facility. Those who cannot move them, do what you can to help those affected by the attack. We meet to discuss this in twenty four hours."
