Maya stared at Hiro as she rammbled on about kissing her. In her short explaination about how wonderful the city was, Maya had edged closer to Hiro and her back was no longer resting on the wall. She realized that he was complimenting her, yet was uncomfortable with what he was saying.
"Oh.' she said while going back against the wall. How was it that there were an odd number of guys in the recent past that wanted or have kissed her- platonic or not. "Sorry if I led you on. I read lips to understand what people are saying. I'm pretty good at it, but I have to watch their movements to get the entire sentence. Sometime it comes off as weird. Its a relief to know that you don't think its creepy." she admitted while mentally slapping herself for coming off as a flirt and a bitch.
"But thank you for the compliment." she added with a gentle smile.
"Wait you saw a liger?" she asked catching only the last bit of his sentence.

When he looks at her close on to him he was about to kiss her again but his attempt failed when she moved back. Amazingly she didn't notice the first or second time, general luck was on his side. But this was again the proof of his terrible luck with women. Though he didn't mind it too much, note that he is still getting used to it. This tore his already small ego.
"No, no. I was being an arrogant jerk I should not of done ramble and thought a lovely woman as yourself being intrested in me, in such a short time." He chuckles softly. "Creepy? I find you amazing it takes a lot of skill to learn to just read lips! Sometimes the imperfect person is a perfect person!" He doing his best to compliment her again.
"Yea. It's is crazy big! Had sharp teeth!" He said spreading his arms out to span it's size. And made a funny face for her to laugh.

"No you weren't being a jerk. There are far worse things you can do than that." she assured, and hoped it came out the way she meant it. Without hearing what she was saying, she had to screen what she said in her mind more intently than she should have. It was annoying, but she did it to prevent the risk of offending someone.
Maya knew that she'd hurt his feelings when he looked at his sullen face. But she knew that being truthful upfront would be the best. She knew that she hated when people played games with her. It was incredibly insensitive and cruel. Maya blushed as Hiro complimented her yet again. In her life, she had always been critisized or called dumb and slow- now it seemed that more and more people (guys in particular) went in the total opposite direction. Maya didn't know how to accept this newfound admiration.
"Thank you. It was hard to learn at first, but I've been doing it ever since I was a little girl. Sign language used to be my only way of communicating, but then I used lip reading with it. Eventually I just used the lips reading. Sign language isn't the most popular form." she explained.
"So was it like the size of a bear?" she asked.

"If you say so." He said with a smile. Feeling that she was lying to him.
This amazed him, the human mind and how it can adept to things so quickly. "That is absolutely amazing." He said as calmly as he could. "To learn something like that at such an early age and the trouble to must of went to learn it. Simply amazing."
"On all fours I would say so. But if they were both on hind legs Then no." He answered with a chuckle.

Maya looked away from him after he complimented her learning curve. It was partly due to her power, but not entirely. She would have blurted out that she was a mutant that had the ability to copy any physical motion, but that would be a little to forward and far to advanced for a conversation she'd just started with a stranger.
"Well I think you should have taken a picture," she said,"that way you can prove you saw such a thing. I thought they were just made up creatures from that movie Napoleon Dynamite."

He give her a flick on her forehead. "There's one at the zoo here. You must be new here as well. Or not very informed." He gives her a soft smile and stood up and brushed himself off. "Well it was very nice to meet you miss Maya." He turning away from her. Thinking he probably won't ever see her again. He says, "I hope too see you soon. You can keep the fries." He turns away and begins to walk away.

Maya was shocked when Hiro flicked her, but grinned. The girl rubbed her forehead and looked as him as he spoke. She did know there was a zoo here, but not one that had a liger.
"Likewise Hiro," she said and got up with him. "If you're ever in Boston again, just give me a call and we can hang." Maya handed him a piece of paper with her number on it.
"Its a big city and you might get lost, knowing a friend might help." she grinned. Maya did hope that he'd call her sometime. Hiro was good in her book, after all he did just give her fries. He was pleasant to talk to and really sweet.

"Uh, thanks." He said softly taking the paper. "I will call you whenever I am back in town." In turn he give her his number out of politness. He smiled at her one last time before walking away. Once outside in the parking lot, he clenched his fist where the paper was. Then burned using his power. "She was a very nice girl. Very sweet." He felt like she pityed him. This was fuel but his lack of trust in humans, thinking she was one.
He knew her intentions were good, when she gave him, her number. But felt like she was doing it out of pity. As he walks he itches his nose and thinks about his next destination. "I wonder, what else there is to do here." He said softly.
