Molly stood in front of a store Chase had told her to wait there for him but it was starting to get boring. He's been in there an awful long time she thought as she plopped onto the ground resting her elbows on her knees and put her head in her hands. Looking very bored as she waited for the older runaway to come out of the store. After another hour passed and Chase didn't come out she got up and headed for the ice cream shop near by she was tired of waiting and gone with out him. I can get ice cream twice if he's still in there. a small smirk appeared on her face at the thought as she walked into the shop and stood in line with the other people.

It was the perfect day for ice cream and Penny did have a little bit of money saved up so why not? The girl made her way into the city and just walked along the streets almost like a tourist. It's not like she hadn't been out and about before but it always amazed her. That's what she got for being born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio. The chubby little mutant would stop along the way and peek into the windows as she passed the shops. Perhaps she should get a real part time job and not just do odd jobs, at least then she'd be able to do some real shopping. No, she was behind enough as it was with school work she didn't need to take away from it with a 'real' job.
Finally she made it into the ice cream parlor and stood behind a tiny little girl. Not sure how old she was, Penny's brown eyes scanned the crowd to see if she could see the girl's parents. Surely they wouldn't let her out in New York all alone, would they? Hmm.. "Hello there. I'm Penny what's your name?"[/color] A big warm smile touched her lips as she looked down at the little girl. Perhaps Penny could keep the young one company until her parents or guardian came to claim her. All Penny knew was that she wasn't about to let a child run around alone if she could help it. She'd been there, done that, and it wasn't a good place to be.

Molly turned around when she heard someone speaking "Hiya, I'm Molly." she replied before moving foreword a little bit and turning back to the older lady wondering why she was looking at her like that. She knew the others didn't like her talking to just anyone because they couldn't trust them but she didn't not everyone was out to kill them like there parents...right? She was able to take care of herself if someone was going to hurt her. But the lady in front of her didn't look like she was. "Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked she had a feeling she might want to know where her parents where every where she went they would ask her that.

A small smile tugged her lips when the girl introduced herself. "Well then hello Molly. It's a pleasure to meet you." She was about to ask where the girl's parents were but there was something about the girl that stopped her. Penny was dying of curiosity but then she knew what it was like to get asked that question... repeatedly. "Oh I was just trying to figure out what kind of ice cream you like. Can't tell if you are a chocolate person or not. Me? It depends on the weather and what mood I'm in." Hey she stopped herself from babbling too much that was a good thing. How had she wanted people to broach the subject with her? That was easy she never wanted them to broach the subject. Hm... "So, I don't really get out as much as I'd like. I know the ice cream parlor but do you know a good place to get a burger? If you can take me to one after this I'll buy you one." Maybe it will give her a chance to get to know the girl a bit better.

Molly just stared at Penny as she began to babble "Adults are so weird." she put her finger on her chin as she thought about her favorite kind of ice cream. "I like chocolate and cherry ice cream." she stuck her hands in her pockets and played with the little bit of money she had. She wasn't aloud to have a lot because she would always spend it on toy's or stuff for her costumes seeing as no one else would wear what she made. "Oh yeah there's a place not far from here that we go to all the time, I can show you. They have great burgers." the man in front of her got his ice cream and left to go sit at one of the tables. Molly moved up to the counter which was almost as tall as she was "One cherry ice-creme please." she looked up at the tall skinny guy.

A small laugh escaped at the girl's comment. "Yes we are weird indeed. But I'm not quite an adult yet. At least I don't feel like it." The curly head tilted to the side and she grinned. "I think today I'm in the mood for mint chocolate chip." A small smile tugged her lips when the girl offered to show her the place. "That would be great if you could show me and as promised I'll buy you something to eat too." She figured that it would be safe to do it that way since she was paying for guide services. Penny tried to decide if she was really in the mood for mint chocolate chip and decided that she wanted rocky road instead.

She began to dig around in her pockets looking for her money in one pocket but didn't find it there so she went to the next one and found what she was looking for. Pulling the money out she gave it to the man then took her ice cream and change then moved out of the way so Penny could order. She took off to the other end of the room and slid into the booth with out spilling her icy snack. Molly scooted over to the window looking out it to see if Chase came out yet or not. But she didn't see him turning away she began eating her some what melted ice cream cone.

Penny stepped up and placed her order. The girl was fairly bouncing as she paid and then made her way over to the table the Molly was at. "Oh, um... is it alright if I sit with you? I mean I know you are going to show me the burger place but I don't want to overstep or anything." As she waited to make sure it really was alright to sit, Penny licked her ice cream cone and sighed happily. "I swear ice cream could make the world a better place if everyone would just eat some." A small smile tugged her lips when she said those words. Alright so she sounded like a bit of a dork but then hey she loved her ice cream.
