"You two walk together. I'll save us all a table." He gets into his car and drives up to the diner. Doing the usual rountine of looking for a spot, locking the car and such. He walks in. He looks around and the place was packed? Lucky for him there was a table left as fast as he could he runs to keep the table. Once sitting at the table, he let out a good long sigh of relief and looked in his wallet. 'The kid must be starving.' He thought, his stomach begin to gurgle. 'And so am I.' He had enough for a small meal and a the trip to New york. But he almost he the kid and the girl, he smiled. The right think to do is to buy them alot of food.
The waitress walks by. "Hey sweetheart, What will it be tonight?" He smiles and responds. "Hmmm, everything looks good. Ok can I have a few steaks with the side of eggs and onion rings, some ribs with some fries to go with it, a salad, a couple of sodas and ice cream for dessert please." The waitress looks at the young man surprised. "All this for yourself?" He sweetly answers. "No, theres another two people coming. And I feel the deserve the meal. How much will this be?" The waitress smiles and tells him and he pays the amount owed, which was a lot. He paid early so Penny wouldn't have to pay.
After about a 20 minute wait. The food was all ready, all he needed to do is wait for the look on the kids face.

Penny nodded and started walking as the boy took off and the other one drove off. She looked up when the boy slowed down. "You're right, I am a mutant, but it's not something we talk about out in the open. It's not safe. I can induce fear, that's my power. They call it a gift, but I'm not so sure." She shrugged a bit and looked a little forlorn. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she looked over at the kid. "I'm not here to recruit anyone and I am a student at a school for Mutants. I know about the Brotherhood though I've never met anyone who was a part of it. I don't like their methods though." She shrugged and looked up as they came up to the diner. "Ready?"
As she walked in Penny's nose crinkled at the smell. She looked over at Hiro. "You ordered already?" With that she shook her head and started to make her way to the kitchen. "This will not do." she started to take off her jacket and push the sleeves of her sweater up. "Who the hell are you?" Penny looked over at the guy and picked up a wooden spoon. "I'm the one making our meal, now where's the order?" The guy backed up and pointed it out. "Damn she reminds me of my grandma."

He nodded to her answers as he headed into the diner, he made to move off to the seat the guy grabbed for them, and was a bit shocked with the lady went into the kitchen. "Yo dude, you know a simple cheeseburger would work great no need to break the bank." He looked over and smiled though it smelled great and he was starving. He shook his head slowly as he saw the guy come out of the kitchen shaking his head. "I don't think I want to piss her off at me." He shook his head and looked back and forth as he took his seat and spun it around so he could sit it astraddle he just wanted to enjoy this while it lasted, although he had a feeling that the warmth in the diner might spoil his sandwich. Hell, if he got hungry tomorrow he would try it, that's why god gave them a stomach anyways.

"A simple thank you would of worked." He said with a smile, then watched, with a blank look on his face as Penny goes into the the kitchen. "I'm not going to even ask."He shrugs, with a smile on his face. "Come on, Let's chow down." As he begins to eat, he already starts to worry for Lucas. The kid is a fifteen year old run away. If Lucas went to New york with him, he could get him a job at the store and live in the apartment with him. But would he accept the offer?
"Lucas, This is a bit foreword for me to do this. But I am a fellow runaway, but I'm old enough to get a job, so I didn't have it as bad as you do. And it will haunt me if I know your out there suffering. Lucas, I want you to come to New York with me and can get you a job, food, and give you a place to live. What do you say." That was a terrible way to help someone. But with the limit english he had, that was the best english offer he could do. What will be his reaction?

Penny came back out and the staff cleared the table of all the icky food. The food she made was put down in front of them instead and she sat down grinning. "Now, it's edible." Her attention turned to Hiro and she again wondered what his name was, if he had told them she didn't catch it. Also, to she began to wonder if he wasn't a mutant as well. Lucas had a point, only another mutant would act if it was totally ordinary for weird things to happen.
Her head tilted as Hiro spoke and she began to wonder about him. He did almost sound like a cross between a Good Samaritan and a recruiter, whether that was his intent or not she didn't know. Sunshine on just wanted to eat and get to know her two new friends better.

“Well thanks, for the food and stuff.” He looked around and was trying to figure out how to keep himself free to hit the door. “Danger Danger Speed” he looked around and was smiling the entire time, but when the guy offered to stay with him he looked up at the guy and shook his head. “Listen, as far as I know you are just a straight joe, I won’t put you in danger with having a mutant in your home. So thanks for the offer, but I don’t think I’ll be taking it up. But we both are staying in New York at least so we probably will run into each other from time to time.” He looked over at the guy and didn’t want to hurt his feelings at all so he smiled. “Plus, you don’t need me cramping your style.” He chuckled abit as he looked around again. He saw the girl coming out with the food and was rather surprised with what he saw.
The food looked like something out of his Mother’s kitchen, and his mouth started to water. “Dude look at that, that stuff looks good.” He might as well have been panting looking at the food coming out he looked up at the girl by the name of Sunny and shook his head. “You can rescue me anytime.” He grinned as he picked up the fork and knife. He looked over at the girl and just smiled. When the food was put in front of him he barely restrained himself from just tearing into the food without waiting for the others, but he kept himself from doing that and waited for Sunny to sit down. Once she did though all bets were off and all you heard from him was the sound of chomps, approval, appreciation, and then finally satisfaction. “Will you marry me?” He looked at Sunny and said it with a straight face, and while joking if she said yes, he would jump on board.
He looked at the pair and smiled brightly at them, “Hey thanks this beat that sandwich of mine hands down.” He looked at the clock on the wall, and internally started to cuss, but he kept it to himself. The shelter would be jammed pack by now and he knew he wasn’t going to be able to find a bed there. So he would just get to his other spots, if he found someone there he would just go to the next. He didn’t mind this one bit. “Guys, I want to let you know that I really appreciate this, and I know you didn’t have too. So thanks.” One thing about not being paid attention too overly much was that he was used to being able to hide easily, but this time was different. Yet, he still kicked off the other guys shoes , and without much thought kicked started his motor, quietly and felt the power grow in his legs. “Bro, Sunny thanks guys, I’ll see you guys again.” With that he was a blur and the door flew open and closed on nothing but the wind, with a full belly he was reaching his current top speed. Heading off into the night grinning like a fool with a bit of the sauce still on his tongue just to remember what real food was supposed to taste like. But either way he bolted and knew he might have taken Bro up on his offer, or Sunny might offer to take him with her, and for her cooking alone he would go. He was young and stupid, he knew it. So he choice to burst and see where his feet would take him.

As much as he wanted to tell the two of them that he was a mutant as well. There were way too many people around and it might cause a scene. When Lucas rejected the offer, he just smiles. "It's just an offer. It's not like I'm forcing you to." He said as he eats quietly. "Your welcome and don't mention it."
As he bolts out he looks around at the people who were confused on what had happened. He lets out a sigh. "He is a pain isn't he Penny?" He asked with a soft chuckle.

Penny settled herself and grinned over at the two. When Lucas started teasing her she brushed a bright red and started busying herself with her food. She was a bit too embarrassed and just sort of nodded and grinned a bit. Penny blinked as Lucas finished his food and bolted. "What about..... dessert?" She sighed softly and wondered where the kid was going to stay tonight. Penny shook her head and looked over at Hiro. "Just.... scared." With a sigh she sipped her drink and looked over at Hiro. "Let me at least pay you back for half."
