Duncan walked into the school. He dressed accordingly in a pair of black slacks with matching blazer, dark blue button shirt with a matching tie and shiny black wing tips. He also had on his trademark fedora and his black leather trench. His side arm was at his back in it's holster and the permit was next to it. Both out of view of the public. He stopped and asked for directions for Ms. Frost's office and was informed she wasn't in there at the moment. He informed them not to worry that he'd wait.
The man made his way to the office and leaned against the wall by the door. He folded his arms across his chest and crossed his feet at the ankles. One hand came up and tipped his hat down until it covered his face. For all intents and purposes he looked like he could have been napping right there. He wasn't.

Emma Frost knew that she was supposed to be in her office at this time, just so the teachers and students could find her easily. But she was the woman who called the shots. She could do whatever she damn pleased. And a few moments before she was craving a nonfat starbucks latte. The White Queen got out of her very expensive white car and slammed the door as she locked the doors and closed her private garage door.
Ms. Frost walked through the somewhat hidden door that led to her office. It was one of the little things that she had custom made. Just incase something were to happen at the school. Emma took a sip out of her white cup and walked over to the main office door. To her surprise there was a handsome man, holding the wall up next to where she opened the door.
"May I help you, Duncan?" she asked while scanning his m ind for a name to call him. Emma wasn't sure what his intentions were, but she could tell it wasn't harmful.

When the door opened he slid his hat back and arched a brow. Either he had been lied to or she was sneaky. When he felt the probe he frowned not liking someone in his head, and he blanked out as much as he could. This was definitely something he was not going to enjoy. "Alexander Morgana sent me." He wondered if Alex had even confirmed that a possible teacher was coming then realized he would probably want him to suffer.
"Heard there was the possibility of a teaching position open, so I figured I'd check it out." He hadn't been stupid enough to have brought all of his stuff in. He rubbed the back of his neck and not for the first time wondered what in the hell Alex got him into.

A teaching position. Emma knew that she could always use more teachers in her staff, he was sent by Morgana so she knew he was a reliable reference.
"Do come in." she said with an easy smile. Emma walked over to her liquor cabinet and opened it up to display the choices. "Would you like a drink?" she asked in a hostpitable way. Emma knew how to take care of her guests.
"So what subject areas would you be interested in?" she asked while taking a seat at her desk. Emma took her cup in her hand and took another sip awaiting his answer. Maybe there would be a math teachers. Hopefully not someone who wanted to teach the something like that art of fan dancing. For some reason lots of preforming art teachers thought this was an academy like that.

Duncan stepped inside the room and his hat came off. When she offered a drink he shook his head. "No thank you, but thank you for the offer." He sure the hell wasn't going to take the chance of making his mind even easier to get into. He'd have to talk to Alex about finding ways of building up some sort of barrier or something.
"Anatomy and Physiology. The study of the human body and it's organ systems. Probably some pathology as well. The study of diseases. Effectively a minor medical class at least the beginnings of it." Who knows maybe some kids want to be doctors or nurses some day, it would get them a head start.

Emma nodded at his polite decline to her drinks. The headmistress guessed that he didn't very much like her telepathic abilities. She made a note not to use her gift on him any more. As a telepathic, Emma made sure not to read the minds of those closest to her and the ones she worked with. It was could get nasty if she didn't watch herself. Emma had to put up wards, against the stray thoughts that someone might transmit. She was powerful enough to go into someone's mind and bring their greatest fear to the surface and could block other's out just as well.
"Anatomy and Physiology. Those classes would be quite welcome here." Emma said with a pensive expression. Right now the institute had only the core classes: English, Math, History, and Science. Not to mention a few elective classes thrown in there. Each of her classes, even thought they were taught by the best teacher Emma could find, did not have any medically based classes. The bio class did have a brief chapters on it, but that was it.
"I think we can find a place for you here." she said, "But I must ask, what is your mutant ability allow you? Mutants are the majority of this institute and I would like to know what your gifts are."

Duncan was thinking it was a damn good thing otherwise he'd have to find another job. He really couldn't teach them much more other than baseball. When she asked what his mutant ability was he frowned a bit. He knew that Alex and told him that he was unnaturally gifted in two areas and he wondered if that could be it. "I'm not sure if I'm a mutant, though the Major said I was unnaturally gifted in a couple of areas." He scratches the back of his head and wonders if he could describe it to her, he'd never really described it before.
He actually sat back in his chair and really thought about this. "My vision for, one thing, isn't normal. At least I don't think it is, but I've been used to it for so long I've never really thought about it. I've been known to see up to fifty miles with pinpoint accuracy from the ground and up to hundred when at a vantage point. I can focus it in pretty good, I call it my scope vision. Alex says I monkey to well to be human. Meaning I'm fairly agile even at my age. Not sure if that makes me a mutant or not." He really didn't know, never bothered to check. He was pretty sure that Alex was one though, there'd a been a time or two he'd seen him do some pretty weird stuff.

Emma took another sip of her drink and thought about hiring Mr. Hunter. He did come under recomendation and he did seem to have a direction he wanted to take his class. The headmistress could hardly turn down any mutant who wanted a safe haven, but did he have the credibility to teach.
"Have you ever taught these subjects before? To highschool aged students?" she asked while putting her cup down and folding her hands over one another. "Even though most of my students are here for gaining control over their abilities, I don't want their education to slip. This is still an acredited academy." she said in a serious tone.
After Emma asked about his ability, she was amused that he had an unique eye for things. That would certainly be a valuable gift to have on staff. Frost was pleased by his explaination, even if he didn't think of himself as a mutant.
"I think it might mean you are. And I wanted to apologize for my earlier intrusion- I have to make sure that my enemies aren't trying to get to my students. " she explained.

Duncan shook his head at her question. "Never taught teenagers before. But I was in a few study groups. I think of it as mission or an assignment and I'm good." This would have been a lot easier if Alex had actually talked to the woman first, but then again Alex did owe him a few headaches. Several, headaches to actually. "I fully understand." Which he did, since reputation and education were key to any school.
The man nodded. He never really thought of himself as a mutant and technically he had no beef with them. Which was probably one of the reasons he was glad he got out when he did. Duncan waved off her apology. "I understand it now, just please don't do that in the future?" His mind was his own and he prefered to keep it that way.

Emma pressed her lips together as she heard he didn't have any formal training as a teacher. He lacked the experience a teacher got when working with children. It was a shame, but how could a teacher get experiences without getting somewhere to start.
"Study groups? You don't actually have a teaching certificate or license? she asked. Emma knew those were only the little details, Emma could easily find ways around that little bump.
"Not a problem. I tend to keep to my own buisness." she said while taking another sip. It was true, Emma didn't find it interesting or cared what her teachers were thinking, unless it pertained to her.

"I didn't stay long enough to actually become a doctor. My goal had been Anatomy from the get go. It was the one subject that I know as well as any doctor if not more so. Do I have an official teaching degree? No." Again he wished that Alexander had actually cleared all this first. But no matter he was sure he could find something to do when she told him to get the hell out. Duncan nodded he was good with that. He understood once be he really wouldn't like a second time.

"Well I'm sure that we can get around that. If Mr. Morgana can vouche for you, I haven't the slighest problem with you working here." she said thinking about the paper work she'd fill out in order to make this as legit as possible.
"I'm glad that you've taken the time to talk to me. As you might understand, I can't just let anyone teach my students. You'll be on probationary terms, but the salary is still the same as anyone else." Emma said while pulling out a few peices of paper. These were the working papers and some information that she requested that all her employees had. Most of it was just technical things, but she also asked them to list their likes, past jobs and abilities. It was better for her to know something about her employers if she was to keep them happy as well.
"If you'd fill these out as soon as possible, I can get you into a classroom by the end of the week." she grinned.

Duncan arched a brow when she said they could get him legit. Then he shrugged and grinned at her. ”That works. Sorry to be such trouble. I think I have the credentials to be able to teach. Took general studies and majored in it. I didn’t get my PhD but was damn close. I got everything else, so it might now be such a hassle. At least he hoped not. He causes enough trouble on his own, he doesn’t need any help.
”Fully understandable and fully appreciated. Do you mind if I just fill it out right here?” He had a pen in hand and looked up at her. He’d rather just get this done and over with, not having to worry about it later on. Knowing him he’d forget if he didn’t do it now. Grading homework was going to be a bitch.

"Not a problem, you can fill them out right now." she said glad that he'd taken the chance now and not procrastinate. Emma placed her elbows on her desk and laced her fingers together, resting her chin lightly on the makeshift pedestal.
"So tell me Mr. Hunter, what other qualities will you bring to my school? " she asked merely out of curiosity. There was a more formal way to interview someone for a teaching position, but she had known Alexander Morgana as a professional that would only suggest the best. Since Duncan Hunter was sitting right across from her, she suspected her would be a positive addition to the Academy.

Duncan nodded and started filling out the paperwork. God he hated paperwork, but he figured he was going to have to get used to it. He might have done a lot of things to piss Alexander off at him but he never shirked his duty. Alexander was getting him this job so he’d have to be a good boy and do it right. What had he gotten himself into? The man inwardly shook his head and went back to filling out the forms, most of the information he put was along the lines of Classified. So his work history, short of being in the military was extremely vague. She’d just have to deal with it, there were some things he couldn’t account for, and quite a few he wouldn’t.
Blue eyes looked up at her question. ”Security.” He didn’t really expound on that he just went back to filling out the paperwork. When done he leaned forward and set it on her desk. ”Anything else we need to go over, Ms. Frost?” He had a funny feeling he might smacked if he called this one ma’am.
