Magneto was in his war room, behind them a massive computer, a map of the world spread over a giant screen, in front of him a table where his elite, the Brotherhood, would discuss how to strike back at the humans. He had sent out, that morning, a PDF file with his plans, to use the Sentinels, which he had managed to reactivate and reprogram, to counter attack, aim straight for Washington.
Efforts to put right the damage done were of course still under way, but it was in progress humans could never match thanks to a variety of mutants with abilities that gave one a natural flare for construction. Such was the way of Genosha, put ones natural abilities to use, and should one's abilities have no obvious benefit for the work place? They often contributed with their knowledge or a skill learned through life.
Magneto looked over his map of the world, looking to a clock on one of the smaller computer monitors, the first of the Brotherhood should be arriving soon.

Toad grunted as he pushed the heavy door open, yellow eyes looking around the currently empty war room, save for Magneto of course. He bowed his head in respect; usually, down on one knee would have been his thing, but he was still limping from the attack on Genosha from earlier, still recovering from a concussion, an arm nearly pulled from his socket, and a pulled leg. Yes, of course as a mutant he healed faster, but it still damn well smarted. He was still walking with a limp, he was. He, out of pride of course, tried to hide said limp as he walked inside the doors of the war room and sat in his sanctioned seat.
"Mornin', boss." He greeted Magneto with that sharp, toothy yellow smile of his as he fixed his bandanna, even then hiding his true feelings behind it.
He'd begun wondering if...any of this was even worth it any more. He'd seen a lot of violence in his life, as much as he loved it. Here, something like that never seemed to happen, and it was becoming predictable, couldn't forget that. And now? Now at least half of the Genoshean population was decimated because of a surprise Sentinel attack. Was it worth it any more? With his powers, he couldn't do anything to protect this place anyway...he felt worthless, for the first time in a long time. He felt worthless and weak...and he was sure the rest of the Brotherhood thought the same of him.

", she stated her codename. Magneto was a man of pride, naturally he would prefer addressing his warriors by their mutant names - not the human scum's titles. " Reporting in, sir. If that's even what I'm supposed to be doing, I'm still new to all this." Indeed she was, but more importantly she seemed to be willing to learn. All the Master of Magnetism had to do was, guide her abilities to the level she desired, and he'd have himself a loyal soldier. " Well hello there, Bumpelstiltskin." Obviously she was referring to Toad, who among those already assembled stuck out like a sore thumb. Not that he was incredibly ugly or anything, just different looking - a lot different looking. " I guess your being first means you need the brownie points, or you're the island pet." No intention of being mean, Lilija was just being herself.[/ul]

A quick blur shot through the room, shortly followed by a slight booming noise. Pietro was then sitting in his chair, his best suit on with his leg folded over the other as if he'd been there all along, he noticed that two mutants had beat him here, Toad and...well this one surprised him, Lilja was here as well. He nodded to the rest of them. He sort of wished Wanda and Lorna were here, he'd not seen them since the attack and though he knew they'd be okay he wished to see them.
His Father was standing over the map, he so badly just wanted to point and shout 'Told you so!' to him, after all whilst his methods had been....slightly different, he'd told the ruling council that they should act against the humans and they didn't take his idea in to consideration, now this happened and they were forced to act. Granted telling Genosha's supreme ruler this straight out would be a terrible mistake so instead he simply asked Magneto "So Father...we're going to pay the humans retribution I hope?"

", she asked. Not expecting an answer, and even in the event Pietro spoke up, Lorna quickly continued. " We protected Genosha, they're already planning some form of retaliation for their global embarrassment. To strike back would rally those neutral to their side. The Brotherhood was lucky this time, but dumb luck won't always be there for us... or father." Genosha was strong, Magneto was stronger, but even they had limitations. Mankind had survived countless wars, plagues, threats, all because of innovation and sheer luck. Lorna doubted it would be no different this time, but she said nothing more on man's survivability. " A new member?" Lorna shot a glance towards Lilija, having never seen the woman before. So, father was recruiting people without her knowledge, but who did the scouting? Immediately she looked to Quicksilver, already inside she was boiling. " ... You. What does this one do, little brother?" It was not a casual question, more in tone with an order.[/ul]

Alex Summers had not shown his face much since that battle. The blonde mutant had missed the brunt of the attack, taking to protecting the people from any fallen shrapnel. It wasn’t melting Sentinels to puddles, but blasting falling debris hadn’t been that bad. What had enraged him was the attack in general. From his knowledge, Genosha had not launched any attacks that would prompt these actions. Well… other than sinking a ship full of flatscans. But that was neither here nor there. What was a hundred or so of them? Not like a bunch of other useless apes weren’t gonna crop up. So, Alex remained stumped as to what should happen.
As Alex walked in, glad in a containment suit that he used for training, he could already hear the occupants bickering over what to do. Honestly? Retaliation sounded much more fun and he would gladly head up that squad any other time. But war had been brought, though briefly, to their home. “We need to reach out for other mutant allies. At least get some sort of force of back up first incase we need to strike back or if another attack comes.” He suggested as he entered after spending part of his day incinerating the debris. His brows shot up before his arms folded across his chest.

Nassr strolled into the war room with his hands in his jacket pockets. Magneto had called for this meeting and he was not about to miss it for any damn thing. He held Magneto in the highest honor almost equaling his status with Allah. Just the other night Genosha had been under attack by the mechanical monstrosities known as the Sentinels. It took all of them to make sure that their homeland didn't fall, for if it did... things would be really really bad for everyone in existence. Most of the team had already arrived on the scene, some of them speaking on the events that occurred not too long ago.
He took a seat next to the new girl, giving her a quick glance before turning to face the others. Nassr personal opinion about the whole thing was that they needed to completely obliterate the human race. He knew that a simple attack would only lead to another attack from the humans creating a never ending chain of retaliation. He had seen this all the time in Saudi Arabia. So a complete wipeout of the race would be most efficient, waaaay easier said than done though. "My views may be a little radical, but I think we should just annihilate them. For if we attack and leave it at that, more than likely they will retaliate worse than before." Some may view him as insane or stupid, but he cared little for the opinions of others.

"We don't have any way of annihilating them in anyway that wouldn't annihilating us as well. But retaliation on our part is in order. They attacked our home, we need to show the people of Genosha that we shall not allow such attempts at Genocide!" Exodus offered his opinion, both to let people know his stance, but also to announce that he had arrived.
He looked to Quicksilver, his eyes didn't hold the usual respect for a child of Magneto. "Your father has already set up a plan to retaliate, we all received the PDF." It was just curtosy to be on top of information when coming to a meeting of this importance. Although as unimpressed as he was with Quicksilver, it was Polaris he was most unimpressed with, how could a child of Magneto have such a lack of strength when Genosha needed it the most.

Toad tensed and looked toward...well...looks like they had a new member, eh? His yellow eyes gave her the once over and decided he liked what he saw. Not that he'd voice it or anything. He'd made that mistake one too many times, and since he wasn't no George Clooney, that just made things go terribly wrong for him. He did not, however, appreciate the Bumplestiltskin comment, nor the one about being the 'island pet'.
"Ac'tully, me bein' first means I got 'ere early from trainin', newbie." He smirked, turning to not look at her anymore. "Sumfin' you should pro'lly be gettin' in..."
"And it's Toad." He stated bluntly, crossing his arms back behind his head, still not looking at her as he spoke to her. "Y' might not wanna speak t' yer superiors like they're yer friends either, ducky."
Yes, it was harsh, but he had a lot on his mind, and he tried to speak with as light and friendly a tone as possible, but the look on his face as he looked over toward Quicksilver and Polaris told that he had something he was thinking on about. Something that he was obviously feeling guilty over thinking. He was barely even paying attention to the suggestions being thrown around. He could have had his own input, but honestly, he knew none of them would listen to him. They never did.

," she cracked back. No way was she going to let some punk - frog-faced or not - talk down to her. " And I'll damn well talk to you as a friend, or whatever. I need to know what I'm working with." None of that distance nonsense, despite being somewhat anti-social. Lilija knew to be effective, you had to know and manage your resources. " Oh, right. I'll damn well talk to you as a friend, or whatever. I need to know what I'm working with... Toad, sir.," she chipped in at the end there with. " More to your liking?," Lilija asked of her 'superior', not really caring what he said. It only mattered what Magneto wanted, said, or did. The amphibian out of the way, Lilija could now focus on this new threat: Polaris. Her green hair, her tone, the way she oozed with an enigmatic prowess, it was intriguing but also highly annoying. However Lilija said nothing, figuring it was best to let another speak on her behalf, at least until the Icelander knew who or what this caped crusader could do.[/ul]

Quicksilver raised an eyebrow at his sister, was she mad that he had recruited another member? that he'd brought another person in to their cause. "Why dear sister...our new friend is...to put it simply healer, I think you would agree we desperatly need, I just don't know why you wouldn't ask her that...
He then turned as a few more people entered, Havok, Air-Rider and Exodus, he'd not really got to know them as people so wasn't sure if he liked them or not. Perhaps then it was time for a change, it was just then that his thoughts were disrupted by an argument in the room, it was between the new girl and Toad, now he spent enough time with both to know that they were stubbon enough to argue for a long time, he was surprised when it was stopped though...hmm the Brotherhood was more grown up then he thought. Turning in his Father's direction he said "Father, we have a few more people to come...but I would like to ask if we could start, I'm eager to get this underway"

," she said in response to Pietro's remarks. " The merchandise speaks for itself; the buyer is far more interesting to listen to." Polaris could ask Lilija what she did, but it wouldn't do much. By hearing Quicksilver's answer, she could gauge the sheer talent and potential of this woman, which according to the speedster involved healing. " Healing, you say?," the Genoshan Princess said, curious enough to tone it as a question of confirmation. " This changes everything. Good work, Pietro.," she let slide off her tongue, like a serpent mocking its prey.[/ul]

"Enough all of you, those of you who are not already seating, please make it so." he informed, taking a seat himself at the head of the table, his eyes running over each and every member of his brotherhood that had arrived, noting the absence of Wanda. Most unexpected.
"First, for those of you who have not yet met her. This is Corpse, and she has the ability to put life back into those it has been stolen from, a miracle of abilities, especially to have her recruited when such a power is needed more then ever." The Master of Magnetism gave it a moment, let everyone take her in, as lovely as she was. "Corpse, this is most of my Brotherhood, the ruling Elite of Genosha and the finest taskforce we have now that the humans have declared war. This is Quicksilver, my son and one of the fastest people alive, if not the fastest, next to him is his sister, my firstborn, Polaris, with magnetic abilities similar to my own." he informed, gesturing to each as he did. "Toad, whom you've already met, not as obviously powerful, but infinitely useful for someone who see's his potential for infiltration. Beyond him is Havok, a manipulator of cosmic energy and radiation. Next to him is Air-Rider, whom can control the winds themselves, and last but not least, Exodus, Alpha level psychic." he explained, giving each a moment to nod or wave.
"Now, in the file I sent to all of you, I suggested we use the very same Sentinels that attacked Genosha to launch a counter assault against Washington DC, if they want to spill mutant blood in home we shall treat them in kind. I would suggest the Brotherhood go with them, for maximum hitting power. A quick escape is always possible. This is not completely a retaliation attack, if we time the assault properly, I plan to make a move against the United Nations Headquarters, and give the humans an Ultimatum, accept Genosha as a Legal State, acknowledging us as a country in all aspects, including our currency and granting our diplomats all expected positions and privileges, in exchange for that, we shall retreat, and convert the Sentinels into defence units. What are your opinions?" his fingers formed the church steeple shape as he sat back in his chair, awaiting their opinions.

Pietro raised a hand, to show he wished to speak. He knew it was probably not necessary but it also helped as a visual aid so that people focused on him. He thought the idea was good, in fact he had suggested causing problems for the humans...though in a slightly more covert manner. "A good idea that I agree with...but I am a little confused about what we'll exactly be doing? do we have any objectives? or are we simply dropping in to Washington...causing mayhem, damage, carnage and death whilst you go and discuss mutant freedom with the UN?"

," she began to interject, totally disregarding everything Pietro was saying, though some of it was worth asking. " The distance from here to the United States is great, and radar would present a problem.," she said, idly wondering what role she and the others would play in this assault. If able to be chosen, Lorna would much prefer the publicity. " Even if any defense systems were disabled, that in itself would alert them to the amiss. How will you be dealing with this? Some of us may not be able to handle a counterstrike from the National Guard. It would be different it we could launch an attack closer, as the response time would be to our advantage." If push came to shove, Lorna could handle herself. But she liked knowing the intricate details of things, it made things go over smoother. It also served her ambitions in a greater way than others suspected, but for now she played the role of curious innocence.[/ul]
