A lot had happened since Marie had last seen Adam. The fact that mutants were revealed to the general public was the major thing. It hadn’t been that long since that had happened, but Marie still passed several protests as she made her way to the park. They all were calling for the same thing: for the mutants living in secrecy to reveal themselves.
Like that would ever happen- Marie knew that she would never reveal herself as a mutant to the general public. Not unless she had no other choice.
The cards, though? The cards said that there was always a chance that it would happen, and Marie dreaded that day. It would not end well. Sometimes, precognition was not as fun to have as other people may think.
Marie was sitting on a swing set- there weren’t many people around for one reason or another. Apparently, this was a lesser-used section of the park, because it was so far away from the entrances, or something. The only other person around was a little old lady across the way who was feeding some pidgins. That was the reason she had chosen here to meet up, after all.
She pushed her feet against the ground lightly, gently swinging back and forth as she waited.

Out in public, again in Boston to visit his lady friend Marie and of course adorned in his image inducer to avoid being discovered. Now that mutants were more public knowledge, some people seemed to be out for blood. Regardless of it all, he was going to meet up with his girlfriend, so he wasn't going to let any of it bother him.
He spotted the French mutant, she was up ahead on a swing set, he was some distance behind her, so he could only assume she didn't know he was there....but she had those cards. The boy from Georgia put down the small bouquet of Lilies he had bought and made sure his jeans and shirt were straight, one last moment to run his hands over his hair, make sure everything was in place.
Once he was ready and sure, he picked up his flowers and starting make his way over. As he got closer however, he realised he felt quiet embarrassed about giving her the flowers...where they too clichéd? They probably were. He scratched the back of his head, really not sure what to do. He looked about, as if someone would be there to let him know what to do, but in the end just took a deep breath, mustered up all his courage and walked over. "HeyMarietheseareforyou." Smooooooth.

Marie leaned back as she swung, then grinned as she saw Adam approach her. She dug her feet into the ground, stopping the momentum from her swing.
She turned around and stood up, making her way over to Adam where she kissed him on the cheek before taking the flowers from him. "Merci!" she said happily, bringing the lilies up to her nose and smelling them.
It was always nice to get flowers, after all. And besides, lilies were one of her favorite flowers.

Adam couldn't help but smile when Marie seemed happy with her flowers, score one for the team! "I was thinking....maybe we can go get a milkshake, or maybe a crêpe." he suggested, he did like crêpes, especially with a mix of milk and white chocolate in them, or even with lemon, sugar and some jam, nice stuff!
And Adam got a kiss on the cheek....ten points! If it wasn't for the image inducer he wore, he'd have been very visible blushing.

"A milkshake would be nice." Marie said with a nod, taking a step back. "There's a little place just outside the park that 'as great milkshakes." she continued, nodding once more.
She sighed as they began walking through the park. "So mutants are out in the open now..." she said quietly. "I knew this day would come eventually. And their reactions are going to get much worse before they get better."
She couldn't help it, she was worried. If half the things that her cards predicted were true, there was going to be a lot of trouble for mutant kind.
