The tiny blond had been wondering around the school, still trying to get her bearings when she walked into a rather large and empty looking room. Her mind quickly went to the fact that this would be a great place to work on her dancing. It was quiet and secluded and huge! That was until the room came to life. Suddenly, alarms sounded and things started firing at her. Even if her mind had stopped working out of fear, her body reacted and she flipped out of the way.
The girl was officially terrified at the moment and she had no idea what was going on. No one had warned her about the danger room. She was doing her best gymnastics to keep from getting hit and had no idea how to defend herself against the machines. "Help." The word came out in a squeak not that anyone would have heard her anyway. The worst of it all was, in her fear and constant moving, she had lost track of the door.

Walking down to the Danger Room, he was planning on doing a few light runs, but then he saw the light was on. Figuring it was one of the upper class-men working on tactics he was about to walk away. Something made him go up to the control room, and when he saw who it was he didn't even think twice. Tearing out of the control room since he didn't know how to control it he got into the room and looked around for her.
He saw the robots catching up to the flying girl that seemed to be doing a great job of dodging their attempts to put her into a painful sleep. He charged shoulder first into a group of them and watched them scatter like so many bowling pins. He knew his work was still cut out for him so he did the only thing he could. Grabbing the girl he tucks her into a corner and stands in front of her. He noticed someone had set the timer for an hour. So when the hour was up he could get her out of there. If he could keep her from getting hurt for a whole hour. He never was one to do this kind of mission before. "Just stay put."

Kelly was scared beyond belief, even more so than when the big robot called her a mutant and tried to kill her. Well at least she thought it was trying to kill her. She was starting to break a sweat and had been doing more acrobatics in a short period of time than she ever thought possible. The only things still keeping her going were fear and all the training she'd ever done. But she wasn't sure how much longer she could keep this up and was seriously wanting to cry.
Suddenly, the things scattered and she looked up in time to see Cain. Tears filled her eyes when he put her in a corner and she just nodded when he said to stay put. Kelly was holding it together better than she had ever expected. She was so not prepared for this. The girl tried to catch her breath while keeping an eye on any other attack coming her way.

He turned around and put his back to the attack beams and wrapped her up in his huge frame. Engulfing her so that the beams had no way of reaching the young girl. "Don't worry Princess, they can't touch ya." His voice sounded normal and if it sounded a tad bit strained that was to be expected. If he hadn't braced himself that blast would have put him back a few feet. He was going to kill the person that didn't reset the Danger room after they used it last. The blasts were all set to kill and he was going to....first he had to make sure Kelly made it an hour.
"Listen don't move, those blasts are set to have the safety turned off, which means those are real blasts, someone high up was training in here, and never reset the system." He took the next blast and chuckled a bit. "And they giving my back a good itchin." He wanted to sound light and airy since that might help calm her down. Putting up his mental shield to block the next round of attacks he was going to make it as tough as possible. "So we are all good."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Cain. I didn't know this room would attack me." Her voice was muffled against him since he was holding her. She was trying very hard not to break down and cry like she wanted to. What she was even more worried about was something happening to Mr. Cain about her. Had she had any idea what this room was really like she never would have come anywhere near it. To make matters worse she was completely useless to help.
Kelly whimpered when she realized that these things could truly kill her. "I'm so sorry, Mr. Cain." The girl was feeling miserable about getting into this predicament and even worse she caused someone else to be in it. He maybe ten feet tall and bullet proof, but these weren't bullets. "I'm sorry I can't help...."

"Well I can..." Came a voice from behind Juggs as he stood sheltering Kelly from any incoming blasts. Ms. Danvers, or Ms. Marvel as she was known by her codename, stood directly in the path of the blasts. Her hands were out to the sides as her entire body held a light yellow aura, it expanded and expanded, making a rather large shield. It held off the robots' blast incredibly well, as their energy was being repelled by her photonic shield. Normally, she would have just gone straight to the control room and turned the damn thing off, but this was almost perfect training for her; as horrible as it sounded. People were in need of large amounts of help which was a perfect scenario for her.
"Hey, Marko. Got a idea." She turned her head to Cain Marko, known as the Juggernaut. The guy was known as a unstoppable force once he got moving; well, why not add a couple of spikes to this rolling ball? "How about I give you some spikes so you can bowl into them a bit more effectively this time?" He would know what she meant, if he charged at the robots, she would cover him with her energy. This would effectively, not only give Juggs a shield, but also cause his contact with the robots to be alot more impacting.
(Hope you guys don't mind me coming in!)

(I don't)
He turned towards the voice and grinned. "How about ya just turn off the program since we have a kid in here who isn't ready for anything near this level, and I don't care about who's shield is up. I ain't movin until I know she is safe." He shook his head slowly as he looked down at Kelly. "Don't worry Princess we should be able to get this down with in a little bit." He thought about it for a minute and grinned.
"Although, why not go loose on those robots for a bit Ms Danvers. Give ya some trainin on clearin a path. Something I'm already good at, I'll work in my protecting the target thing. Then we can start working towards the door, and get Princess here out of this room."

(me either)
Great! Now she was getting her gymnastics coach involved in all of this mess. "I'm so sorry you guys. I'll take detention or whatever you want to give me...." She was still barely holding on by a thread, at least emotionally. Physically she was fine thanks to Mr. Cain. "OK, I'll be good, promise." If they got her out of here, she'd never skip on their classes, always have her homework done and be the perfect student. If she lived that is.
However, the girl was a bit curious as to what this room was really used for. Mr. Cain mentioned something about training and Ms. Danvers seemed to be having a lot of fun. She was glad someone was, because right now she sure wasn't.

(Funny thing was, before I originally posted, I was like "The mature thing to do would be turn off the controls, but they'd probably dislike me for ruining the danger aspect. I'll just come in and save the day in more excitement." Damn my assumptions!)
"And here I was thinking you enjoyed the action, Juggs." Closing her eyes, she focused alot of her stamina into one well placed forceful blast at the group of robots whom seemed intent on keeping a constant stream of fire on the three individuals. The blast sent out a large wave of force, knocking them all off their feet and leaving Carol a little worse for wear. She used the time to fly up to the control area and turn off the controls. It helped that she had a vague knowledge of control panels, and she managed to shut down the program rather quickly.
"It's safe now." She panted out, man, that blast took a lot more out of her than she realised. Maybe she did need to spend some time in here to perfect her abilities. "Are you guys alright?" She was rather concerned about Kelly; the poor girl didn't even know what she had walked in on, and it was a miracle Cain showed up when he did.

Breathing a sigh of relief he looked down and winked. "You okay right Princess?" He wasn't really worried about her physically, but mentally was another subject all together. He had to see if she had the stuff. If she could bounce back from anything, but then again as an introduction to the Danger Room this was pretty much a nightmare. "Thanks Danvers." Rolling his shoulders he growls a bit as he walks up to the control room. Looking down he grins a devil's grin as he puts his fist through the control console and ripping out wires by the handfull. "If this thing is malfunctioning or they aren't going to reset things the way they are supposed to, I'll make sure they have to fix the dang thing." He growled a bit as he walked back down to Kelly.
"Hey Princess you gotta be careful where you walk into down here. This is a training grounds for mutant powers and fighting technique. It's called the Danger Room and well, as you can see it's very aptly named." Picking Kelly up he set her down on his shoulder as he head for the door. Instead of making her duck her head at the door he just punched it out enough for her to ride out on his shoulder. He wasn't in the mood to be very accomodating with everyone at the moment.
Once out of the danger room he set Kelly down, and turned her towards him. "Come on Princess and snap out of it, thanks to Danvers' your safe." He nodded to the new teacher and shook his head and slapped an Out of Order sign on the Danger Room door. He growled a bit when he thought about what could have happened to a new student walking into here the first time and kept feeling he hadn't done enough damage to the control panel to make it worth while, but he had a feeling he would have to destroy it to make him feel better. "Damn pieces of scrap metal."

Once all the madness stopped Kelly closed her eyes and took several deep breaths. If she had been prepared for it then maybe this out come would have been different. But it's kind of hard to fight machines when you don't have a weapon or a power one can use without the need of another with power. This just drove home the fact that she had one of most useless powers out there. Hell even the glow boy from Sky High had his uses.
Kelly nodded to Cain. "I just wish I had been warned. I never would have come in here had I known. I'll be alright, I'm a tough nut to crack, contrary to popular belief." She nodded her head and was quite proud of herself for not breaking down. She might later when she was in her room but she refused to at this point in time. A giggle escaped when he put her up on his shoulder and she wondered why he was so mad. She could feel the tension in him, and didn't need him punching his wath through to get that notion. "I'm fine, Mr. Cain. Thanks to you and Coach Danvers, I'm fine."
