- Ice fishing, though not useful at first glance, has granted Lilija with a tough endurance and discipline. She can also handle rough environments due to this, which is useful for survival purposes.
Personality:
Lilija Eiriksson is nothing unique in terms of personality. Her idealism is suffocated by a coat of realism, while any sort of optimism is left to drown. This is not to say she is dark or morbid, she does have a sense of humor and can engage in conversation - she just tends to gauge others and their worthiness. Her typical approach to a situation is to be critical and blunt, selectively saving any kind or compassionate remarks for beneficial situations.
Lilija tends to be vain, not only about her "pure looks" but her skills as a member of homo-superior, too. Lilija is not a team player, though she is willing to work with others if it benefits her, her cause, or goals; anything else is a waste of time and, at most, expendable. This makes her similar to her superior, Magneto, in the regard they prefer not to waste time or make use of useless pawns.
Finally, Lilija is overly proud of her being a mutant. Despite the severity of her powers, she enjoys using them whenever she can, and trying to increase her potential - that which she believes Magneto can give her - on a quest to become perfect.
Likes:
- Sailing.
- Ice fishing.
- Morgues & cemeteries.
- Using her powers, mostly for 'show'.
- The Arts; poetry, writing, painting, etc.
Dislikes:
- Overly cheerful people, it annoys her.
- Being told to 'fall back', she likes to finish a job if possible.
- Stereotypes about Iceland being "nothing but ice".
- The 'extent' of her powers, or being reminded of them.
- Blond[e] jokes.
The Mutant
Codename:
Corpse
Mutant Abilities:
- Eschakinesis: Simply put, Lilija has the ability to resurrect any one or thing. This is due to a telekinetic influence mixed with a biological charge, allowing her to revive others. However this ability, while seemingly powerful at first glance, also has its share of weaknesses and setbacks. None of which Lilija likes to be reminded of.
Lilja's particular form of eschakinesis has her targetemerge from the ground, usually through a purple colored portal. This portal appears to ripple, like a watery surface, and is some sort of connection to the afterlife. It can reach a circular range of roughly 5 feet. Despite this, Lilija is unable to enter this area, but hopes to achieve such under the leadership of Magneto.
Weaknesses:
- Eschakinesis: Lilija's ability to resurrect the deceased has, as mentioned previously, weaknesses and setbacks:
1) Lilija can not resurrect herself.
2) Lilija can only resurrect three things once every twelve hours.
3) Lilija can only resurrect three things (people or animals) at one time.
4) Lilija can choose when in someone's life she brings them back, but she does not have any form of control from her abilities over the returned.
5) Lilija, upon resurrecting another, does not receive any information or knowledge from the individual. It is up to the resurrected whether or not to aid Lilija.
6) Lilija does not benefit the resurrected in any other way than their life being returned, the revived can still be killed as they would have when previously alive.
7) Lilija requires a total of two minutes per resurrection, which tallies up to six minutes for three individuals. If she is forced to break concentration or her mind assaulted, the resurrection shall cease.
8) Lilija needs to have an image of sorts (photograph, painting, physical description) to resurrect anyone, or else it will not work. Interestingly, if she has only one image of a particular person or animal, that is the only time in someone's life she is able to return them to. An example being, Lilija sees an image of Jean Grey at 8, unless she has seen Jean Grey at other stages in her life, Jean would only be revived to look eight years old.
9) Lilija, when she resurrects someone, regardless of the 'age' she brings someone back, they retain all of their memories and knowledge up until their death.
10) Lilija is able to resurrect something particular the very moment it passes on. However individuals with a strong connection to the afterlife or other power sources (Phoenix) are more straining for her to revive. - Mortality: Despite Lilija's powers, she is unable to resurrect herself. This leaves Lilija susceptible to anything that could kill another human being: bullets, knives, explosions, poisons, etc.
History:
Born to a traditional Icelandic family, Lilija Eiriksson was raised in a typical manner for her gender and people. Lilija aided in the upkeep of the house, maintaining and using the sailing vessels, and being prepared for the overly common career of ice fishing.
Growing up like this, Lilija did not mind... at least for a while. Upon entering puberty, Lilija sought to rebel and do what most teenagers indulged in: trouble. Naturally this did not go over well with her parents, but Lilija did not give too much concern to it. She did her chores, helped out around the home, all when she wanted to of course but helping nonetheless, and felt justified in her newly developing attitude and behavior.
When Lilija's mutant abilities kicked in is up for debate, but when she first used them is not. At the age of 17 Lilija discovered she could do something extraordinary, she could revive the dead. Nothing big at first, just fish, but it was a start. Curiosity propelled Lilija to seek larger targets, and while on hunting trips or visits to the local pet cemetery, she would work her magic. Such acts became the talk of the small town community, and eventually this remarkable ability would sail across the seas to other, more interested ears...
When Genosha was lost, Corpse fled to Asteroid M. Lilija's time there was spent indulging in books and experimenting with her abilities (which remain the same, only less taxing), ones which interest many, possibly even Apocalypse himself who seems obsessed with immortality and perfection. Needless to say, Lilija remains a part of the Brotherhood, though recent events have shaken her core.
[ Begin RPing here, with Magneto and/or the Brotherhood finding and persuading her to come to Genosha. ]
RP Sample:
Iceland. It wasn't known for much, except that stupid stereotype that it was a land of ice. You could blame the Vikings for that little mishap, naming Iceland and Greenland what they did - total opposites - in order to trick migrating Europeans. Iceland was actually fairly green, while Greenland was pretty icy. Yet this did not stop the idiotic remarks about her home country, all she could do was endure.
"It is not so bad, there could be the possibility of having control over ice." she quirked, but failing to show any facial expression of amusement. "But what I do, these powers, they seem so wasted on this little island community. I am far more deserving of an option than... this, an option that allows me to reveal my grandness for all to see." Yes, Lilija Eiriksson was vain, but she felt there was every right to be; no one came close to her, and she would be damned if someone actually did or attempted.
"Reviving sea life begins to become tiresome, where is the real challenge?" she asked, implying she had become bored with bringing back traveling flocks of birds, washed up whales, and dried out fish. However she also knew no one would answer, and even if anyone was close enough to hear, how could they? Only she appeared to be gifted in superiority. "I am destined for something other than this floating fortress of solitude, but if the fates are testing me - I'll prove them wrong."

Player: "Blink"
Any plans in mind for the character? Emma has Mimic and Lifeguard, while Xavier has Jean Grey. Magneto could handle things on his own, but I think an edge would cut him some slack.
