Appearance:
Skills:
Thanks to Jamie’s mutation and the advancements that it has taken in the last five years, Jamie can literally be in hundreds of places at once. Because of this, it has allowed him to gain all of their knowledge. Primarily some of the following:
Education: Jamie has sent some of his duplicates to multiple schools to take on different fields of learning. One is finishing law school, another has recently capped off his training as an EMT, there is one off studying religion, another is in Tibet studying with monks while he has several in their own location in the Peace Corps, a Dupe as an entry level grunt in SHIELD, and one in New York working in a shipyard. And those are the ones he can remember. This has allowed Madrox to become a jack of all trades in a sense. That will only be completely accurate, however, when he absorbs them. He is presently studying Criminal Justice in hopes of becoming a detective.
Combat: Thanks to his powers, Jamie is capable of learning multiple fighting styles. Since the war with Apocalypse has started, he has taken his role as a Hellion more seriously and has committed a lot of time and dupes into learning not only hand to hand combat, but also has learned some basic weapons (particularly with staff and blades) but favors a good old fashioned pistol. He has managed to become an excellent marksman at the time.
Languages: Madrox has learned multiple language over the year through the school and also through correspondence. He has finished learning Russian, French, German, Spanish, Latin, Epsilon Omega, and is fluent in American Sign Language. He is now in classes for Arabian and Portuguese.
Leisure: Jamie has learned the standing string bass, the violin, and piano in his (aka his dupes’) spare time. He is only truly mastered in the bass, which is the instrument he made a point to learn himself. The others were studied by his multiples. He also has taken on a few hobbies such as mechanics, photography, and self-narrating (something that only the best noire heroes ever do).
Personality: Jamie is a slacker to the highest degree at some times; relying on his powers almost too much to get what he wants. His procrastination tends to bite him back greatly in the end, resulting in a frenzy to get just about anything done and perpetuating using his powers to cover it all in a shorter span of time. He’s a one man think tank that doesn’t necessarily prove all that successful considering his stubborn nature. He is naturally inquisitive and will snoop around in whatever it is that strikes his interest until the chase loses its flavor. He is very determined when he does decide to set his mind to something. Unfortunately it has resulted in an arrogant demeanor that sometimes makes him appear to be more trouble than he’s worth. He seems almost too laid back to be considered normal; which probably does nothing for his reputation as a slacker. Jamie also seems to enjoy picking people apart and seeing how they think. Beneath that lazy exterior, though, there is a world of ambition that bubbled beneath the surface of every one of his multiples. He wants to do everything and now that he has the means, he just doesn’t know how to go about that.
Jamie is constantly pushing the buttons of others, willing to do what he can to get a good laugh in. This doesn’t make him mean spirited, just unable to really take anything seriously. He comes off as a bit of a hustler; furthering his reputation. Any sort of item that’s banned from school grounds, Jamie can get it. He can be downright charming when he wants to be, and usually does. The only people he seems to have an issue with are those that are “authority figures.” Towards them he is curt, rude, and a downright smartass. Being able to be a one-man team seems to go to his head, making him think that he can sometimes manage others just as effectively as his copies. He has experienced something that he will probably never tell anyone, though. Death. One of his duplicates died before Jamie could absorb him; it resulted not only with a severe amount of injury to his person when his powers had just started manifesting but also the memory of dying. He represses this, though, only reliving it in his nightmares.

The Mutant
Codename: Multiple
Mutant Abilities:
Madrox has the ability to create duplicates of himself upon physical impact; making exact clones of his person. Each one of these clones has an aspect of his personality that becomes more prominent while they are out. In the last five years of training he has increased this number not only ten fold but also to where his duplicates can demonstrate similar abilities, allowing Madrox to become a one-man army. He has an empathic and telepathic connection with these copies despite the independent actions they may take. These clones are able to think, feel, and act on their own while being anchored toward their creator. Madrox can absorb these copies from a distance and he does let some roam on their own with directions on things to study. When he absorbs these duplicates, he receives the knowledge and experiences that they have gained. Also when he collects his dupes he does gain the injuries they have, but it is lessened almost like a healing factor. Also, if Madrox were to be poisoned, for example, he could multiply himself to disperse the toxin’s effect on him until it reaches a tolerable level and he can reabsorb his copies.
Weaknesses: Jamie’s copies are exactly alike and are telepathically linked to him. He can intend for them to do something, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll do it; especially if one of his dupes inherit his loathing of authority. When he matures, this might clear up a bit, but considering he’s a rebellious teenager he has to deal with the copies of himself. His arrogance tends to keep him from working well in a team structure. Also, when absorbing his dupes, he gains their experiences, both good and bad, along with their injuries. Unfortunately there is another drawback to this. If one of his duplicates were to die, the result would be traumatic. It would be similar to dying and being brought back to life… without the death. Jamie’s only had this happen once and he would prefer not to talk about it. Anyone who asks finds himself circled in a ring of pissed of Jamies.
History: Jamie Madrox’s abilities have been apparent since birth; showing when the doctor spanked him upon his delivery; creating a multiple because of the contact. Daniel Madrox, a researcher at the Los Alamos Nuclear Research Center, resigned from his post within the month and took his wife, and now two sons to Kansas. After that incident, Daniel designed a containment suit that would keep his sons, Jamie and John, from multiplying upon absorbing kinetic energy. Daniel never told his sons, or his wife, the fact that his son had duplicated himself after being born but convinced his family that Jamie and John were twins and raised them as such. They possessed what seemed to be that “psychic bond” twin siblings have and were nearly inseparable.
All of that would change, though, when the “twins” were in their teens. While they’d grown up a fairly average life, aside from the containment suits that their father said was something they had to wear because of a side effect of the radiation in their birthplace, they’d never suspected themselves to be anything different than average. Jamie grown up a tad cocky and dominant while John was meeker, compliant, but highly intelligent. The two attended school together but did separate activities. Jamie’s usually involved detention while John’s involved the extracurricular. Their father never told them that John was, actually, a copy of Jamie and it seemed that he would never get the chance.
When the boys were fifteen, Daniel and his wife, Joan, were driving with John to pick up Jamie from school. John needed to be at the school for a meeting for the debate team and Jamie was already there thanks to detention. Jamie would never get that ride home, though. The Madrox family were struck by a car making an illegal turn going ninety miles an hour; running them off the road and killing the passengers of the car. Jamie doubled over from his desk and had what could only be described as a seizure. He woke up a few days later in the hospital and received the news about his family. They were gone.
Jamie attended the funeral service with his grandmother. Not having his containment suit because the hospital removed it, he approached his brother’s casket. He lifted a hand to touch his brother’s cheek and upon the touch to the skin, John’s body was gone and Jamie had passed out. On making contact with the ground, three copies of Jamie fell out of him to be reabsorbed when they tried to check on their maker. Horrified, the funeral home cleared out and left Jamie with his grandmother, who had no idea what was going on. Jamie came to after a few hours but was different. Something in him changed and no one knew whether or not it was good.
Jamie remembered everything John had ever gone through. This included the car accident and dying, itself. Jamie had been very shaken, now with no idea what was going on with him. Jamie found himself having to take more care when moving around. The subtlest contact or bump tended to create a copy of himself that Jamie would frantically reabsorb. His grandmother, not necessarily sure just how to deal with all of this, pulled her grandson out of school for the time being until they could figure out what to do. It took Jamie a year and a half, but he started getting the hang of this odd power. He started intentionally making copies of himself and having them go out and do things for him. When they would come back, he would absorb them and remember everything as if he had experienced them himself. With that, Jamie started rediscovering the way he was before, without the slight guilt that John used to impose on him. He would cheat, steal, and lie, for no other reason but to see if he could get away with it. Usually, he did. He could be in multiple places at once and establish the perfect alibis.
It wasn’t until Jamie hotwired someone’s car that he finally got caught. After being thrown in jail, his multiples tried to break him out. It was then that interference was run by Emma Frost. She negotiated Jamie’s release and posted bail (and whether or not the charges ended up being dropped due to a certain amount of “persuasion” has still to be determined). There was a condition, though, Jamie must attend her school for people with talents like himself. With the option being Juvi or school, Jamie chose the latter.
He’s been there for nearly two years now and has built a reputation on being a slacker, an asshole, and a troublemaker. He attends regular therapy sessions, still trying to get a grasp on John’s existence and death, but has maintained good grade while barely attending class himself. He uses a dupe to attend lessons the majority of the time but attends training himself.
History Add on:
Once things started to brew more with the war, Madrox started to take his role on the team more seriously. While he still didn’t always attend his classes, he did at least start sending his dupes out to do more productive things. He has several clones in school and others on special training assignments that he intends to absorbs them later for their information. He also has a duplicate in New York working in the shipyard in order to send money back to the grandmother that had taken him in and take of her treatment now that she has started getting sick.

Jamie’s leg twitched uncontrollably beneath his desk while his blue eyes gazed at the clock. Any minute. He’d be out at any minute. He wondered just how his multiples were doing. One was stuck doing yard work to fix the scorch mark he’d “accidentally” left in the grass from one of his recent hijinx while another was in his room, studying. It beat having to do that all at once. It wasn’t like he wouldn’t getting the benefit of the fatigue that came with the work.
But now, Jamie was on the receiving end of the fatigue of boredom.
He tapped his pencil on his desk; not bothering with the essay he’d been asked to write. He’d have to do another one tomorrow anyways. His blue eyes rolled skywards while he grumbled “fuck me,” in aggravation before he heard that bell that he’d been waiting. He got up before receiving a glare from his supervising professor and sat right back down. A smirk crossed Jamie’s lips as he smacked his chest and a copy of himself popped out and bolted for the door. “What?” he asked with a laugh, “I’m still here.”

Any plans in mind for the character? not sure. Still debating on what I want. I want to explore Jamie learning to expand his powers more as well as trying to see him try to manage not just his own exploits but those that come with making multiple rebellious teenagers.
