It was late, maybe around ten or eleven and Kelly was too keyed up to actually sleep. She needed to find her center after everything that's happened to her lately. So she entered one of the empty classrooms and moved the furniture out of the way. A boombox was set on the desk, and music started to play. She was in her work out gear of black spandex shorts with a hot pink sports bra and ballet slippers. She wanted and needed to dance, she did gymnastics earlier, now she wanted to dance.
After she warmed up she turned on Take A Bow by Rihanna and closed her eyes. So, she was remembering what started her extreme need to go on this class trip. Her Ex. With a shake of her head she got ready to start the routine she had made up for the song. She was singing to it as well, she really did like the song and it fit so well. Especially, since he did look so stupid out of her window. Kelly had turned the sprinklers on him as well. Blue eyes slid closed and she let the music replace everything. Kelly began to dance.

Bobby nearly slammed the front door shut as he entered past "curfew" with a fairly scorned look on his face. He’d been out, doing absolutely nothing really of importance. He shut off his image inducer and let his body look the way his mutation stuck him with. The flesh flickered before it revealed the translucent sculpture of the real Bobby Drake. His gaze traveled about to observe the halls while resentment seemed to be the only thing that bubbled heatedly beneath his icy exterior. He leaned back against the doorway for a moment; unaware of the thin layer of ice that crawled up the doorway. “Honey, I’m home,” he said bitterly in his best Ricky Ricardo impression as he pushed off from his brief perch and started walking towards the stairs in what he assumed to be silence.
It was when he was about to climb up the steps that he heard music. A frosted brow quirked as he looked somewhat confused and backtracked and started to head for the hallway of classrooms. His translucent hands rested lazily in the pockets of his sweatshirt as he followed the sound. He stopped at the doorway of the classroom. She was singing too? Robert Drake’s eyes followed Kelly’s movements while he just simply observed with no motive for a bitter comment or compliment. He just watched and kept himself from interrupting.

When the song ended Kelly stood there for a minute and rolled her neck. It was a great song but she had never really been able to put the emotion behind it needed to sing it properly. Now she could and she was thrilled. Something good came from that jerk after all. She rolled her neck once more and then started stretching. Her back was too the door so she never saw the young man. Well that was until she bent over to touch her toes. That's when she saw him from between her legs and upside down. "Hi." She probably should have been in embarrassed but she wasn't.
Finally, she straightened and turnd around looking the guy up and down. Her head tilted to the side once it dawned on her he was covered in ice. Well that was interesting. She could still see that he was cute. But she couldn't really read his expression so she wasn't sure what kind of mood he was in. "I'm Kelly, new to the mansion...." She took a step closer and when she got a certain distance away she feel the cold radiating off of him. Well this was definitely interesting. Even though she had goosebumps forming she still moved until she was standing in front of him. Her head tipped back as she looked up at him. "What's your name?"

Bobby hadn’t meant to stare. Well… maybe he had a little bit when he just didn’t keep walking and let the translucent ice of his eyes follow the movements of this blonde. But that wasn’t an intentional intention to stare… which made absolutely no sense to his logic. His gaze had followed the dance closely; a bit stunned that someone could move like that to begin with. The organic ice of his hands remained within his pockets while there was just fascination on his features. When she bent over, though, the last thing he had expected was to have his glance met and to be greeted. It was at that moment that he flinched and realized that this probably came off as creepy.
There was an odd feeling of self consciousness that came with being looked at like that. Almost as if he were somehow being evaluated or something. Believe it or not, it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. His frozen features shifted just a bit, making a slight clacking noise, when the blonde approached and his eyebrows shot up. “Oh… I’m Bobby, kind of a lifer here,” he added the last part with an almost bitter upturn of his slips into some semblance of a frosted smile.
“You’re really good,” he blurted out, as if it hadn’t been weird enough that he’d been watching. Now he was just completely fine with evaluating her performance. When he realized that Kelly was kind of close, Bobby mentally tried to reel in just how frigid the water in the air must have been; allowing them to speed up so that their surroundings were room temperature again.

Now most girls would have been offended or creeped out by a guy watching them. But Kelly understand two things, one being that he wasn't there when she started so the music probably lured him in. With that being said he's a guy, he's gonna watch a girl dance. Secondly, he was leering at her or giving off that creepy lecher vibe, so all was good with her. Besides she liked being appreciated whether for her talents or her looks, so she was actually kind of flattered.
A lot of people see a dumb blond. Sure she tends to blurt out whatever is on her mind, but she was also understood how to be sensitive. So instead of wrapping her arms around herself she settled them on her hips. "Nice to meet you, Bobby? A lifer?" Had she really stopped to think about this she would have realized why he would consider himself a lifer. But Kelly was still too in a bit of shock about everything for it all to process. Which was probably a good thing because she might have done something that she'd have regretted later.
"Oh thanks. That was the first time I ever actually put that routine to use. Had it in my head but hadn't had a chance to use it yet. So, I was glad that I had worked the kinks out." She noticed the air warming up and grinned. Maybe later, when she was alone she'd realize just how weird this was, her standing her chatting with a guy made of ice. But for some reason, it didn't seem quite so odd anymore. She'd only been here a couple of days and met a giant of a man with a helmet on his head. A Cajun with red eyes than can blow things up and she wasn't quite sure what her gymnastics coach could do yet. She herself can act as an extension or a link when it comes to another mutant's power. So... Why not flirt with the cute boy made of ice?

“Lifer… like… I’ve been here a while. If that makes any sense,” Bobby explained briefly with a shrug of his shoulders. “I’m not on my a-game lately,” he confessed with a slight laugh. Again, he found himself unsure if Kelly would know what he was talking about considering if she were knew, she probably wouldn’t have known the role of comic relief he had comfortable ruled possessed for the last few years.
The translucent teenager grinned subtly; feeling at least a bit better since he’d come home from his “emo-time” (a term he’d coined when the others got into brooding and now found it ironic that he’d have to use it in regards to himself for a change). Maybe it was those infectious smiles that he couldn’t help but return. Maybe it was because she acted like seeing a walking ice sculpture was something completely normal. He wasn’t sure, but he found himself very okay with this. He listened, though; forsaking the selfish isolated misery that usually earned a slew of insults barked at anyone that tried to figure out just why Bobby was like this. This seemed okay. “Well, I’m no Baryshnikov or anything but I didn’t catch any kinks.”

Kelly grinned and nodded. "Gotcha now." Her head tilted when he said he wasn't on his a-game. Well, she was wondering if that meant he wasn't normally in cased in ice or if was just feeling a little off. So either way she wasn't sure how to or if she should comment on it, so she had full in tentions of staying quiet. But blue eyes looked him up and down. "I don't know, I'd say your game looks pretty good." She winked up at him then. For an iceboy he was really cute. It never dawned on Kelly, truthfully, that he was supposed to be anything other than ice, so her interest in him was actually genuine.
The tiny blond was doing her very best to ignore the cold. But she was in skimpy work out clothes, had been sweating and was standing fairly close to Bobby. She should back up but she had to admit she was curious. "There is only one Baryshnikov. But you sure it looked alright? I wasn't so sure, it thought I might have misstepped." She bit down on her lower lip and looked up at him again. "If I took off for a couple of minutes, would you promise to be here when I got back? I'd really like to get to know better. So, will you stay and I'll be right back?" Her head was tipped back to look at him and she smiled up at him.

Oh man. Bobby’s translucent brow shot up just briefly as she commented on his game. He was callous and had detached himself to the point where he knew that he probably couldn’t pick up on any subtle signal to save his frosted ass. But this… well, Bobby couldn’t help but let his lips curl into a smile at her wink and he recognized the fact that Kelly was flirting. Typically, he would just turn away and give the cold shoulder (excuse the pun) but there was now just this intrigue that managed to boost his frigid, suspended ego just enough. Even if this were just passing, it was doing a good job of lightening the mood that bore the world upon his glacial shoulders.
“Well yeah it looked alright,” he chuckled lightly and he rubbed the back of his neck for a moment. He had felt enough like a creep watching her. But now he was dishing out his “professional opinion”? He tried not to berated himself. “From what I saw you didn’t misstep or anything. I mean… well… for however long I was watching anyway.” His eyes had averted for a moment; wondering if he could sound any lamer.
His gaze snapped back to the blonde when she talked to him. He almost flinched at that statement. She would be back? She wasn’t going to bolt from the walking snowman that was leering at her like that English teacher that would stick their head out of the hallways to watch girls walk past their classrooms. He felt like that guy when he’d been noticed and she wanted to get to know him? “Uh… yeah sure,” he replied; sounding confused for a brief moment before returning the smile.

Encased in ice or not it was easy to tell the guy was cute and who was she to judge anyway? Cute was cute no matter what the shell looked like. He seemed nice enough as well so yeah, she was going to flirt with him. Kelly'd be the first to admit there was something about him that piqued her interest. Maybe it was because she could tell he was slightly uncomfortable at being caught watching her, though she didn't understand why.
Kelly grinned and clapped a bit. "Look, don't get too worked up over watching me alright? I'm used to it being a cheer leader, and on top of that it's nice to be noticed sometimes. If you couldn't tell I missed a step that means I have less to work on later. If that sounded bad, didn't mean it to. Just meant that someone who wasn't trained, you aren't a trained dancer right? Then'd I'd feel really stupid...." OMG she was babbling a bit. The blond took a deep breath to calm herself down and chalked up to the fact that the cold was catching up to her. Not that she really cared. "How about this? I here by give you permission to watch me whenever you want. That make you feel better?" She winked up at him.
Her head tilted when he flinched and she wondered what caused it. It never dawned on her that girls would stay away from him. But when he said he'd be there when she got back she grinned at him. She grabbed her stuff, but left the boombox just in case. As she walked past him she winked up at him. "Hey Bobby? You can feel free and watch." She wiggled her butt a bit as she walked away to let him know she didn't mind if he watched her butt.
The girl dropped off her bag, grabbed a quick shower and changed into a pair of black leggins, a large and soft blue sweater, and knee high heeled boots. It was maybe twenty minutes tops before she was walking back into that same room and looking to see if had stayed put. Kelly was hoping he had the entire time she was gone.

Bobby couldn’t help but suppress the smile that fought to surface on his frosted exterior. He felt less like a rambling idiot for the time being. The teenager couldn’t help but think briefly on the dance and the idea of being able to watch whenever he pleased and a faint smile hit his features. “I suppose that’ll do the trick,” he said with a forced roll of his eyes to portray sarcasm. It was infectious! That coy, teasing humor just had crawled into the thick ice and crawled through his system and he couldn’t shake it. There was a certain message that came from this bubbly blonde.
It read “trouble.”
It wasn’t the kind where Bobby feared for his life by any means. It was the kind of trouble that seemed to let him know that he was going to act more like a fool in a matter of no time. There was an omen towards his dignity and just a tone of bad juju. Bobby didn’t know what to do. You can feel free to watch. Jeeze! Was there any way that Bobby could make his way out of this without getting too close. “Don’t mind if I do,” he said under his breath as his eyes just couldn’t help but check out her rear end as she sauntered out.
Did he really just say that?
While Kelly was gone, Bobby paced. “Don’t mind if I do?” He muttered, beating himself up for his lack of tact. “What are you doing Bobby?” he asked himself as he sat himself atop one of the desks and sighed heavily. This was stupid, dangerous, even. After about twenty minutes of quietly berating himself for being so ridiculous, he turned as he heard the clack of heels and lifted a corner of his lips into a faint half smile. He should have left. He should be acting like a complete ass like he did to everyone else. He should be pushing her away. Curiosity, though, was a bit of a bitch at times and all Bobby had managed to do to protect his already frail temperament was sit himself down and wait for this girl to return. Here she was and Bobby wasn’t sure what to say.

Kelly really didn't think he'd stay. He'd seemed so uncomfortable with getting caught watching him. She'd heard him mutter under his breath and that caused her to grin a bit. She knew, knew that had watched her ass as she left. Her head tilted to the side when she saw him sitting on the desk and she walked over to him. "You stayed." The words were said quietly and her blue eyes sparkled. Kelly had been trying to decide what to do to get his attention, though she wasn't quite sure why she wanted it. Well no, she thought he was cute as hell, but something about just kind of really got to her.
The tiny blond moved until she was standing directly in front him. Again her head tilted a bit. "Forgive me." She wasn't sure why she said it, because she had no idea what she was about to do. Then she leaned forward and kissed him softly on the lips. His lips were cold and well, hard but she didn't mind. She pulled back a bit and looked him in the eyes. "I'll fully understand if you run screaming. But I kind of hope that you don't." She wasn't sure what possessed her to do that, but like with most things in her life, Kelly refused to regret it. "You want to go out sometime?" Her blunt nature had once again reared it's head, and it will probably cost her the chance of actually getting to know him.

Bobby looked over at Kelly as she walked back in the room, honestly surprised she even came back. He looked down at her from his perch on the desk. “Guess I did,” he stated flatly with only just a slight tip of his lips. She had his attention… it took a few moments for her to get it and he kept having to pump the breaks to make sure he didn’t forget just who he was. In her expression, Bobby picked up something that kept him fascinated.
Bobby’s lips parted just as she heard forgive, about to make a joke but he’d been cut off. He knew what a kiss felt like. It’d been years but… he felt only a faint warmth on the edges of his lips and the reflex just to slightly mold the flexible ice of his mouth to conform with hers while shock melted (excuse the pun). It had not lasted long as Kelly pulled away. He hadn’t necessarily felt what it really felt like but he remembered kisses. He remembered that pressure but it had left him quickly when Kelly pulled away. Bobby just looked at her. Dumfounded. There was no way to really respond to it. So… he blinked for a few moment with his mouth agape.
“… what?” He nearly demanded; not intending to sound that harsh but there was no other way to express the confusion. “What was that about?” he asked, not entirely sure if he could grasp those last few moments. He still remained on his perch, though, at least wanting to hear some sort of reason why she did... that before he passed judgement.

Kelly grinned when he answered her comment. "I'm glad." Really for the first time in her life Kelly really didn't know why she did something. But it was a mixture of curiosity, the fact that he looked like he could use one, and just regular old physical attraction. When he spoke so harshly to her, Kelly took a step back. "Sorry, I shouldn't have done that. What was that about? Oh God, a couple of different things. I was curious, you looked like you could probably use one, and well.... You're damn cute. I couldn't help myself. But even I know that was out of line so I apologize."
Her forward nature is going to ruin her life. She tugged her a hair, a sure sign she was frustrated. "If you want to forget I did that, I'll forget it. Didn't mean to make you uncomfortable, just have very bad impulse control at times." She looked over at him and gave him a small smile and a bit of a shrug. "If it's any consolation, I think you are really cute."

This was frustrating. He didn’t know why, but it took that action to send Bobby Drake into a whole new fluster of confusion. His features hardened for a moment as he looked at Kelly, trying to figure out what she really was playing at while feeling that odd pull deep within his typically bitter ego that bellowed out encouragement to keep his eyes trained on her. She was cute, strike that, the girl was on that edge between attractive and hot that only a personality could send teetering one way or the other. The frozen teenager couldn’t help but feel a bit empowered in knowing that someone actually thought he was attractive and forwardly stated such. He was a typical guy his age and thus felt an inflation to his wounded and frostbitten confidence that brought on a sort of surge of warmth that he hadn’t encountered before. His features lost the edge of frustrated puzzlement and finally settled to look as if it hadn’t happened and shrugged in a fashion that was pure Bobby Drake. “It’s cool,” he replied with simply with a laugh.
“Sorry. That just doesn’t really happen a lot, I guess,” he explained after a moment; not moving from his seat on the desk. “But I know what you mean. So it’s fine,” he added with a firm nod of his translucent head. Bobby took a moment to stretch, hearing a crisp pop from his icy bones and let out a somewhat satisfied sigh before fidgeting a bit with a frayed stitch at the cuff of his sweatshirt’s sleeve. He wasn’t used to hearing that he was in any way “cute”, yet alone having it being a reiterated reason behind a spontaneous act such as the one that had just happened.

Kelly watched the young man struggle with what she just did. The fact that she made him that uncomfortable made her take a few more steps back, allowing him even more personal space. She tugged on her hair and sighed softly. She shouldn’t have done that and she was still trying to figure out exactly why she did. ”I am sorry I made you uncomfortable, not sorry that I kissed you though.” When he said they were cool she sighed a bit with relief but kept her distance. Her brow went up and she smirked when she saw him actually start to relax a bit. ”Oh, you are very cool.” She winked at him.
The tiny blond nodded and took a step closer to him. ”I don’t see why it doesn’t. I mean… damn.” She grinned again and took one more small step toward him. Almost as if she was afraid he’d bolt if she got to close to him. Her head tilted to the side and she stepped right up to him again. Unfortunately, invading his personal space once more. ”Seriously, how stupid are the girls around here?” How the hell did he not get hit on? But then this was Kelly, she had a completely different perception on what she considered good looking and what not. But it worked for her and helped to see the person not the outer covering. Kelly saw something beneath the surface and she was very interested to see what was beneath his surface and not just his abs.
