It had taken the Sentinels just two hours to fly from Genosha to America, with a magnetic anomaly interfering with American satellites, they had no idea it was coming. They landed, surrounding the Pentagon itself, programming from "kill any individuals with an X-gene" to "kill any individuals without an X-gene" they instantly began to open fire their powerful beams on the people of America. OOC: The participants in this thread are:
Fury +3 Sentinels Arktos +3 Sentinels vs Eagle Eye Echo Archangel Slipstream
This shall also serve as the posting order, if a person does not reply within 2 days, the person listed after them may proceed. If an attack is attempted, and the character the attack is aimed at does not respond within these two days, it shall be declared that the attack has landed.

There was nothing glorious about today, but then again, when was there ever anything glorious about revenge or killing? The victims were helpless human beings; which conflicted with Ben's inner conscious. But then, he reminded himself of how the humans that beat him two years ago showed absolutely no mercy and left him a near-dead mess. Not to mention what Magneto had told him about the attacks on Genosha and such.
"Am I supposed to tell those things what to do?" He watched as the Sentinels merely registered the genes of the humans inside the Pentagon, and began firing upon the large military building. "Guess not..." He smirked as civillians ran amuck, captured by the fears of chaos and destruction. It was, weirdly enough, a pleasuring sight for Fury to see.
"Mutant! Freeze!!"
Fury turned around, hands in the air as he faced a wall of soldiers, their guns aimed at him. A smirk drew across his face during his speech. "Freeze? Maybe you haven't heard..." The soldiers clicked their guns into position, but then looked in horror as Fury's hands unleashed two large balls of flame that exploded as soon as they hit the ground, sending out large amounts of flame in all directions. "I don't freeze; I burn."

Duncan had a mission and it was one of the worst kinds, split his focus. The mission it’s self wasn’t one he was overly concerned with, well the giant robot bullshit will be an issue but not as a whole. It was the fact that he had to worry about the students as well. He learned a long time ago that as bad as it sounded you had to forget the civilians and innocents around you. He’d drink that away later he couldn’t worry about them and do his job. He wasn’t too overly worried about the kids since they were all damn good at what they did. Echo was a minor concern because she won’t be able to hear any orders he gave.
When they got there he turned and faced the kids and made sure Echo could see him talking. ”Slip and Archangel you two try to do something about those damn robots. Echo you and me will try to deal with the dumbshit. Something tells me that sniping his flame farting ass won’t be easy.” That was just going to serve to piss Duncan off because he has never failed to miss a target. ”As much as I hate to say this, forget about the humans and getting them out of here. You have to focus on the job at hand. That being said, Slip try to see if you can’t bounce one of those damn things over a volcano. Archangel, tear those bionic bitches apa…..” He instinctively protected Echo when Fury caused the explosions. There was a growl and pulled back and looked down at the girl. ”And you lady are going to learn how to shoot. Now move out!”
Eagle Eye took Echo’s hand and prayed she wasn’t going to be stubborn and tug from his grip as he shimmed up the fire escape to his highest vantage point that wasn’t destroyed. He’d had to let go of her hand and he just hoped she’d stayed behind him. As much as it pains him he can’t spend his time constantly worried about the kids, it didn’t help him back in the battles he’s fought and it won’t help him now. He looked to see if Echo had followed him up or not as he laid down and got into position. He had the little prick in his sights. Eagle Eye fired right for Fury’s head. If the little bastard made out from that shot he'd let Echo have her fun if she so wanted it.

Maya couldn't even believe that it had come to this. The girl should have put two and two together. Her encounter with Polaris, and her little chat about ethics and morals should have set off alarms in her head that Genoshans would retaliate. The deaf mutant could just imagine the chaos she would have heard, her eyes could see the mass destruction the Brotherhood and the sentiels created.
Echo's attention was completely on the new teacher's instructions. She didn't want to miss a word or loose them in the process. The mutant nodded to her instructions. Though she didn't believe that she shouldn't care for the humans, Maya didn't need another distraction right now. Once she stopped the enemy, she'd help the other people.
Then the explosion from the fiery mutant disrupted them. Maya felt the heat and was suddenly guarded for a moment. The girl looked up at Eagle Eye and waited for further instructions.
"Finally something up my alley." she grinned while moving up the fire escape with the agility of a ninja. Maya knew how to shoot, she even knew how to aim. But after watching Eagle Eye perfectly mark Fury, Maya's ability increased to mimic his accuracy.

Combat. As much as tried to deny the more violent side of his personality Warren had to admit that he truly did love to fight. Something about the physical competion, proving of oneself to be superior, the sheer brutatlity he could bring against an opponet, all of it made him enjoy those few times when he really could just go out and hit something.
As soon as they entered the area he saw the chaos and devistation alreayd running rampant through the streets. His focus immdeatly fell upon the creators of that chaos....The Sentinels. Warren had heard about these giant mutant hunters and had longed to test his skill and ability against one of them. Now it appeared he would have six of them to battle. Warren was about to take off the moment he saw them but Eagle Eye started giving instructions and he figured he should at least listen. Maybe he would have some insight into their actions. Unfortunately Archangel already knew he wouldn't be distracted by the innocent humans running around, frankly they didn't bring him along on life saving endeavors, really just when he needed to slash something to pieces.
"Archangel, tear those bionic bitches apa…..”
With his orders given Warren simply nodded as his wings flared out and with a powerful snap of his metallic limbs Archangel was airborne. He kept a watchful eye as he knew Slipstream was suppose to help him out and didn't want them crossing paths unexpectedly. His wings snapped with precision and strength as the blue skinned mutant quickly gained some altitude before circling towards the Sentinels. One in particular seemed to enjoy using its laser cannons to melt innocent humans and step on the onlookers with its massive feet as they stared in horrors at their friend's demise. This one, this would be his first target.
Furling his wings he plummeted downwards towards the massive machine and could feel the wind whistle by as he picked up speed. The second he crossed a certain distance the robot turned and glanced his way, it obviously sensed him as a threat but felt a slight confliction since it was programmed to destroy those who didn't carry the X gene. Using that hesitation Archangel's wings flared forward and sevearl of his razor sharp feathers snapped free and whistled through the sky. Most of them bounced of the Sentinel's armored plating but a couple managed to lodge themselves into the seams of where those plates connected. Warren had launched his feathers hoping to find just such an opening and honed in on that one location.
His speed still building from his dive Archangel's wings flexed as he avoided some sort of cable that attempted to snare him. This was the moment he needed all his focus and concentration on the part where his feathers had shown a sign of weakness. He aimed right for that location and at the last moment his wings flared and slashed forward. While they might not have been sharp enough to do any real damage to the armored portions this was a weakned section and given how much momentum he had managed to build from his dive the metallic wings managed to slash through the side of the Sentinel's head and continue through. Archangel's body jerked from the sudden stop and the stress of such a move practically rattled his teeth. Letting out a slight growl he drew his left wing of the gash and brought his right one across to through more as he worked his way internally towards the main processor. Hopefully if he did enough damage he might be able to take this thing out quickly and move towards his five brothers that where surely closing in. Archangel did his best to stay aware of any sneak attack and hoped his teammates would have his back while he took his first opponent down. Sparks and wires danced through the air as he continued to tear viscously through the machine and let his fury play out as his wings flashed like a pair of swords as they continuend their work.

(Alright, Arktos is clearly not a frequent visitor of this site, therefore I'm taking control of his sentinels.)
Fury Sentinels x5 (One was rather brutally taken out by Arch.)
It seemed Fury might have a bit more fun today than he planned. He had to admit, he was a tad conflicted about what he was doing, but watching the soldiers and humans running about, most on fire pleased him to his soul. This was war, and there was nothing pretty and pink about it. Looking into the air, he happened to catch a glimpse of one metallic looking winged fellow who rather brutally took out Sentinel #6. With a dark curse under his lips, his eyes tracked the Angel as it flew high above the roar of the destruction. Yet, that was when his eyes caught onto something else. The two of them weren't camoflagued and were not really trying to hide their position. His eyes widened as his only reacted as fast as he could.
Taking a rather large dive, he threw himself sideways onto the ground to avoid being shot; yet he wasn't fast enough and the bullet happened to scrape the side of his thigh. "ARGH!" Those four letters aren't really fitting enough to describe what kind of yell he let out, but nonetheless, it will do. His hand reached down to his right thigh as he checked the wound, thankfully, the bullet scraped his thigh, but didn't actually fully enter it. Still, that was a heck of a wound and would severely limit his manouverability. "Son of a bitch..." He cursed as he pushed himself to his feet, or rather, his left foot. His anger, the pure rage that he held deep inside managed to break his mental barriers as his eyes began to grow fire. Pulling his right hand up, he began to clench the hand with a deep and angered strain. "Feel the fury!" With a large yell, he let loose a rather LARGE tunnel of flame towards the fire escape that Echo and Duncan were on. The flame would engulf almost the entire top portion of the ruined building they were on.
Whilst Fury was letting loose the flames of his rage, Sentinels #1, 2 and 3 continued their rather brutal reign of terror and destruction upon the Pentagon. They were killing machines not wasting any seconds or chances they had to wipe out humans. It was a rather sickening sight. Sentinels #4 and 5, however, registered Archangle as a threat, due to the knowledge of one of their fellow robots being demolished quickly. Turning their attention to the Angel, #4 opened its palm and fired a large blast towards the airborne mutant, whilst #5 moved forward to attempt to swat Angel with its huge robotic hands.

There weren't enough cuss words for Duncan to fully tell off the bastard for ruining his shot. When the he realized the kid was going to do something stupid he made a grab for Echo and headed toward the roof door at a full run. At least Archangel took out one of those damn robots. He'd just made it in and was about shut the door when the flame seared his fingers. Again another barrage of curses that would make a sailor blush. "Echo, we need to take the flaming farter out. Whether out of commission or permanently I don't care."
That being said he started to make his way out of the building hoping the girl was following. He needed to find a new vantage point. He got outside and glanced around he corner. He'd hurt the kid, good. He dropped to one knee and held up the rifle again. This time aiming for the bastard's knee cap. He fired. Duncan knew Echo was smart so he wasn't so worried about her anymore. She knew what to do and how to do, same with Archangel although when they get back he's going to deal with Davis, personally unless they boy had a damn good reason for not being here.

Alright now this was some real bullshit. Six giant robots and two clowns destroying the city and trying to take out the Pentagon. This was so not what the young Davis Cameron signed up for when he joined Mass Academy. He was fine with beating down your everyday scum, but giant missile launching robots was a whole nother story. And to think, the had started out so good. He and Jubilee spent some time together just relaxing in her room since his still had a giant hole in the wall. After that he went for a quick surf session down in Surfers Paradise. Now he was suited up and about to try and take down some sentinels. Well at least he wasn't alone on the battlefield.
He was really annoyed with the whole situation, just running his good day. But he was more worried about Jubilee and his sister Heather during all this chaos. When his teacher and team leader, Duncan, gave the order for him and and Warren to take out the sentinels, he just stared at the man. "Man are you out you got damn mind?! What in the hell makes you think that I can warp something that damn big? Drop em in a volcano my arse... damn dingo." If he knew for a fact that it could be done, he would do it. But trying to warp with something that big was a dangerous gamble. He could be aiming for a volcano and end up loosing the thing over a crowded area in Los Angeles or something. He was not about to take that risk.
Instead, he turned his attention the helpless humans running around for their lives. While Warren and the others dealt with the sentinels and the other mutants, he began to evacuate the place as fast as he could. He would warp two people at a time, to keep it safe, and drop them off in safe areas around the city. The lives of the innocents took priority over the sentinels. Occasionally, Davis would scan the spectrum for Jubilee and Heather's life signature to make sure they were still alive. Thankfully each time he checked, they were.

Echo tried to watch her bullet hit its target, but she just couldn't see that far away. If she could have copied Eagle Eye's incredibly sight, that would have been something- but she could only do normal human things. Echo looked down at her white wrapped hands and held on the the gun that was now in her possesion. It was like ginving a kid a new toy, however this one was fully loaded and ready to kill. Echo watched as Fury built his energy up and hurl a sizeable fire tunnel over at them. With the reflexes she gained or borrowed, Echo sprinted after her teacher and scrambled down from their landing like a ninja.
"I concure. His ass needs to get smoked." she shouted, hoping he could hear her over whatever clamour there was around them.
Echo looked over shoulder at Fury's figure and shot at him also. However, she didn't shoot for the knee cap, Echo went for the chest shot. If she failed, which she rarely did, he would be finished.
He's probably going to move to scratch himself and dodge that bullet she thought cynically as her ponytail trailed after her speedy descent.

Archangel watched as sparks started to fly and smoke hissed from the inner circuits of the Sentinel as the light in its optic sensors dimmed and turned off. As the metallic titan began to tilt over Warren compressed his legs against the Sentinel's shoulder before pushing off and spreading his wings and returning back to the skies. It was a good thing he became airborne too because the seconds his wings flashed in the sunlight he saw a bright glow forming off the side. The winged mutant saw one Sentinel with its hand raised and pointing some sort of energy cannon at him. He cursed himself and immdeatly went into a dive to avoid the blast. As he descened qucikly his whole field of vision became consumed by the hand of a second Sentinel.
The blue skinned mutant tucked his wings in even tighter and brought his hands out before him. As he barely managed to skirt between the giant metal fingers. Moments later he felt his hands contact the Sentinel's palm and he pushed himself away to deflect himself away. The push off allowed him to richocet off like a hockey puck and somehow his feet managed to find enough purcase to push off again. The second he was free his metallic wings snapped open again. He ducked down and managed to pass through Sentinel #2's legs and go into a climb behind the second Sentinel, using it as a large shield against the first one that was still trying to get a clean shot at him.
Realizing that he had absolutely no back up from his teammates made Warren angry. They where suppose to be working as team but so far he had really done all this work by himself. So much for all the training they had worked on before this. With a hand he reached up to his communicator and depressed the button to be certain that Eagle Eye, their team leader, would hear him.
"Sure guys, leave the kid with the wings to handle the 5 GIANT robots alone!" The comment dripped with sarcasm and contempt that he felt for the others pretty much abandoning him during this intense moment of combat.

He couldn't see if they had made it out of the building alive, but he sure as hell knew if they didn't, their remains would be black skeletons. He hadn't released a flame fueled by that much anger in a long, long time. The building was reduced to ruins, and his leg was now utterly useless. "Shit. I can't feel my leg." The pain of his leg had literally overwhelmed him and he guessed it was the numbness. Either that, or he was so angry that his anger completely overtook any other feeling. Looking up into the sky, he watched as the Sentinels tried to take out the winged fellow. He knew mutants were uncanny, but this guy was a sight for sore eyes. He had metallic wings and soared above like some kind of eagle.
"AAAAGGHHH!!!!!"
Before he even knew it, his good kneecap had a hole blown through it. His body instantly dropped as it no longer had anything to support it. Blood began to pour from his wound as he tried his hardest to move his hand down to the burning sensation of his knee. He was ironically lucky, however, as his body had crumpled to the floor, causing Echo's shot to miss his chest; lest he would be a dead man. Both of his legs had been shot and were now patheticallyt useless. He wasn't a super-kid either, he only had fire powers. He didn't have super skin or a healing factor. What he did have, however, was instinct. Taking his shirt off, he rolled it up and wrapped it around the burning hole in his knee. Tightly wrapping it around to prevent the bleeding, he began to pant in pain as the bleeding was making his formerly white shirt quite dark red. He didn't even know where the damn shot came from. What he did know was, that he was in a immense amount of physical anguish and was pretty much useless from here on in. His upper body dropped backwards as his head lay against the cold hard rubble.
Lucky the Sentinels were robots, because if they were human beings, they'd be getting pretty damn frustrated at the Angel's quick movements. Sentinels #4 and #5 had no real coordination with their attacks, they sort of just used their motion sensors to catch Warren's movements and then they would either swipe at him or fire a cannon. They had yet to actually damage the mutant, but, unless he had some kind of assistance, he would be a dead mutant soon...

Eagle Eye was about to move in on Fury when he got the communication from Angel. Shit. He looked around to see what Davis was doing and growled. Maybe the kid wasn't as strong as Duncan first thought but he could be doing something. He tapped his commlink. "We're coming, Arch, had to neutralize the guy with them." He turned back and looked at Echo. "You keep on eye on him as best you can. He moves you shoot. We gotta try to take him prisoner." Because I'm not allowed to kill him.
Duncan grabbed the kerchief out of his back pocket and wrapped his left hand that got burned. That was going to be a bitch. The man shimmied up another building like the monkey that he was and focused on Sentinel #1. There were minor chinks in the armors so to speak, there the joints were at. Duncan took aim at the base of the Sentinels head where it met the neck and opened fire. He really didn't think, even with armor piercing rounds, that it would work. If not then he'd just have to rodeo and see where it got him.

sorry for delay but I was waiting for slipstream post but it seems he was bumped)
Arkos would continue walking he had no intentions to waste his time with a battle that they cannot win. He would continue with the robots that were until his partner in attack over ruled his control of his share of sentinel to take over, gain control of them, and smirk that worked out great the fire kid and those over baring monstrously of metal. He would continue to the pentagon as hot head and those robots would make a good distraction while he does major damage and make a statement on behalf of their lord.
He would continue to make his way to the pentagon tossing cars at weak pathetic humans and towards the pentagon. He was having fun but he had a gut feeling that something was not right but shrugged as he made his was to the lawn of the pentagon and stopped as their where a lot armed humans with guns pointed at him. He would move back an d grab a tour bus that swerved to not hit him and took a hold of it and placed it in front of him and ran towards them mowing a lot of them down and swings the tour bus at cops and guards that where placed to stop him.
After first swing they would withdrew to regroup and he would continue towards the walls of the pentagon bus placed on his shoulder like a massive club and walking a bit slower and smell of gas in the air from the gas tank being pieced by a bullet. He would look back he had a tough choice as their was no sign from hot head which meant he was captured that makes their mission in jeopardy as he might talk about their true target.
He would shrug the boy was on his own then he hoped boy escapes as lord magneto would be very upset with him if he screws this up. He would take a breath he wounds where almost already healed from massive onslaught of bullets from those stinking humans and their guns. He would smirk as it seemed the heroes where all focusing on the hot head which suited him fine he would start pounding on wall of pentagon to get inside as he was sure humans would come back and in this building he can use it to his advantage he was sure of it.
