Emily leaned back on her raft, the sun felt great. Today she was just reclining and working on a sun tan, that and now with her mutant powers she needed lots of sunshine to stay alive. The pool was pretty much empty now, though that was bound to change, given the right time, and some one to talk to. Hopefully none of the younger students would decide to cannon ball in.

," she exclaimed at Solaris and her liquid-breaking cannonball (ironic word, really). " Reckon I'm'a not quite up to par wit' ya." Solaris was someone Husk had never seen before, but if she was in the pool, she had to be friendly, right? Well, that was Paige's deduction. If it was a bad guy, wouldn't the X-Men be on them like an emo past on a bad OC? " Name's Paige Guthrie, I'm one'uh them there X-Mans.," she said with a nod, tone full of pride and power. But nothing to insult or condescend another, no that was not in Husk's personality. " An' who'uh do I be introducin' myself to?" It was always nice to make new friends.[/ul]

The instant shock shivered through Solaris' body as the cold water from the girls cannon ball hit her legs face and torso. "Hoh" Was the only sound she could make in an cross between gasping and the cold and trying to warn the girl she was right there. when the girl came up Emily was shocked to see she was rather cute and spunky- didn't seem the type you could be mad at very long- then again Solaris didn't know that for sure. She'd not even officially met the girl.
Emily looked at the girl who seemed to be a few years younger than her self. She had a very strong accent that Emily guessed was southern- up in the mountains probably since most people from even further south didn't have that strong of an accent when in cities or suburbs. "Oh, Hello." she said. "I'm Emily Linton-Davis, an Xman too." She extended her hand for Paige to shake.

," she said, revealing her accent. It was indeed true that Husk lived in and around the mountains, she was from a coal mining town, though unlike her brother the accent was embraced. " Reckon you ain't from 'round here?" Releasing her hand from Solaris, Paige brushed a few damp strands of hair back behind her ear. " Ain't seen ya in these here parts.," she said, getting the last strand off of her face.[/ul]

Emily nodded. "I'm from Ireland." She informed sitting up on the float and dangling her legs in the cold water. She shivered a bit at the sensation of the water until she got used to it. "So tell me where are you from?" The Irish girl asked, wondering if she was right- not being from America she couldn't really put her finger on it but it seemed to be a secluded area- like the mountains of the south.
Solaris felt the warm sun recharging her body. After that she could go for a long run before taking a shower and cooling off for the day. A long run to end the day was always the best thing she could ever do to work up an appetite and enhance a good nights rest. On several times Emily's twin Sophia had called her a health nut and an exercise junky, she was right.

," she asked, curious to if this was Solaris first time outside of her home country. Paige had never left the United States, so it was difficult for her to comprehend, but she could try. " Kentucky breed and raised." Indeed she was, having been born in the hills of the Commonwealth to a coal-mining family, all of whom tended to work hard and talk improperly. But to Husk, this was proper, or as proper as one could get. So far, Emily seemed able to understand her, and that was good. " Not many from there; only two I know of, which includes myself an' my brother. I kinda miss it, you miss Ireland?"[/ul]

Emily nodded at the onslaught of questions. "Yeah, I miss it a lot. Especially my folks. I didn't appreciate the enough while I lived there." The blonde woman said brushing hair behind her ears. "And no this isn't my first time out of country. We made yearly vacations around different places, my parents like adventure so to speak." In truth her parents just liked revisiting all the places they went in their youth so they could gloat to their children about saving an officials daughter in Sweden, fighting a giant monster in the Philippines. But in this reality none of that had happened yet.
"You like traveling?" Emily asked curiously.

," she nodded with a smile. " This is all a brand new experience 'fer me, but I'm enjoyin' it." Did Husk like traveling? Well, she hadn't really done it, unless you counted the big move from Cumberland to New York. " Reckon so, ain't 'countered nothin' bad so far. Though I've only gone here an' home, so I's got a lot more to see an' do."[/ul]

"Traveling is actually really fun." Emily smiled kicking her feet a little in the water. "I especially love visiting air ports from all over."
Much to their mother's dismay Emily and her twin Sophia were very good at finding their way around air port security and all over the terminals. But poor Kendra- their mother- really couldn't blame them, not with a father like Alex any way.
