He needed a breath. But for some unknown reason he just kept running; determined to run to the very edge of his limits. Hell, he was so determined that he wasn't going to stop until his body physically refused to run. He had done a couple of laps around the track, but not just jogging, we are talking a full sprint. He didn't know why, he was just determined to beat his limits.
Beclem was dressed in a grey singlet top and blue track shorts. His body was sweating rather mildly as he finally forced himself to come to a stop. His body broke down into a walk before he finally stopped moving and bent down, trying desperately to get the air back. He pushed his drink bottle to the opening of his mouth and poured water down into his system. His body gladly welcomed the refreshment and he drank like he had never drunk before. Taking a moment to breathe, he looked around. No one was here, and the sun was shining bright. Was everyone in class? He had no idea...

Kara was reading in a maple tree, engrossed completely in her book. Suddently a violent pounding hit her ears and she started, remembering too late that she was fifteen feet off the ground. Kara scrambled to regain her ballence, but couldn't quite manage it before she fell off her branch. She landed on hands and knees in the grass, choking on a whimper as the breath was driven out of her lungs. Kara rolled onto her back, gasping and rubbing at her wrists. She got up after a few moments, still a bit off-ballence. The young mutant remembered why she'd fallen after another voilent pounding hit her ears.
She clasped her hands to her ears, but it didn't help. Heartbeat... She realised, someone was seriously overworking themselves. Her green eyes wattered as she staggered towards the track, wondering if someone was being attacked. But when she got there, Kara realised that there was only one guy there. And he was obviously overworked. Her hands still automatically on her ears, she stared at him.

He could feel his heart and pulse beating like the kick of a drum kit. He truly did push himself harder than he had ever pushed just then. His body, particularly his face, began to sweat mildly. Small drops forming on his forehead, trailing along his eyebrows. He took another gulp of water as he looked to the side to see a girl, covering her ears whilst running towards him. He lowered the drinkbottle, and swallowed the remaining water in his mouth. She seemed to just stand there, and not make any form of action. He looked directly at her for a few moments, before finally speaking. "Something wrong?" He did feel a bit awkward to be just stared at, let alone have the person cover their ears as if he was making some great sound.

Something wrong?
She opened her mouth to answer, but had to take a few stepps back and wait a few moments before she could think of an answer. Kara wasn't good at thinking around the pounding of other people's hearts, it was like thinking around a migraine. Kara realised that she was staring at the boy and blushed, biting her lip. "I- yeah. Everything's fine." His heart and slowed, but she was still freaked out. "What where you doing?" She blurted suddently. "I mean, your heart was scary fast. I didn't even know that one could go that fast."

A slight smirk graced the young guys lips as he began to stretch his legs to relieve any stress that may have built up in them. "You could hear my heartbeat?" Either his heart was pumping so hard that it was actually making a sound, or simply this girl's mutant gift must have something to do with incredibly adept hearing. He finished stretching, before taking anther gulp of water. "I was sprinting; alot harder than I ever have done." He shrugged, it probably wasn't good for his body to be pushed like that, but he felt good now. "I kind of get into a zone when I'm training, and I was pretty set on beating my limits."

"Yeah, well you did." She said briefly, still staring at him. That wasn't a good thing. 'The zone', pfht. She was pretty sure that having a heart attack counted as a 'zone' too. "Don't smirk." She said, "It's not a good thing." Smirks should, in her opinion, be used less often then they were. Kara sat down on the grass, squinting up at him. "Is your... gift running?" She was still getting used to being able to talk about mutant stuff. But it was defiantly a good thing.
