++Application for Enrollment++
The Person
Name: Felicia Hardy
Age: 16
Place of Birth: Queens, New York
Applying too: Unaffiliated
In what capacity: Runaway
Family:
Walter Hardy (father, deceased)
Lydia Hardy (mother)
Height: 5’6
Weight: 119lbs
Appearance:
Skills:
Felicia is an excellent self taught street fighter capable of taking on several armed assailants and incapacitating them without being injured. She is also skilled at stealing things, whether it is a pack or gum or precious jewel out of a museum. She is also a skilled acrobat capable of many difficult feats and thanks to her mutation, she always lands on her feet.
Personality:
Beautiful, confident, intelligent and sweet. Or manipulative, depressed and reckless. No two people see the same Felicia. Her friends see the good side. Her family sees the good side, but they also know her secrets and her faults. The other adults in her life generally see her as an angel though her peers often times see that she's not so innocent and sweet as she pretends to be around grown ups. Most people who don’t know her think she’s an idiot, but this isn’t true. Felicia knows she would be nothing but a tool if she were all looks and no brains, so she works hard at school. History, math, and writing subjects come naturally to her, but she has to really work at the sciences and humanities areas. But work she does; and she rarely gets a B in anything.
Around her friends, Felicia is perfectly endearing. She loves to tease her friends and kick off her heels, do the guys’ hair and listen to her girlfriends’ boy problems and give them advice. After certain events in her life, Felicia now takes medication for the depression. Few people have ever seen her on a bad day outside her family; she doesn’t go to school, she doesn’t leave the house, and she stays in her room. Peter Parker, or Ben as he prefers to go by, has seen her in this state, though she never told him why she was depressed--just told him it was a bad day.
Felicia is also reckless. While she loves parties for the atmosphere and because she loves big crowds and being in the spotlight, she doesn’t feel the need to drink because everyone is drinking or get high because everyone else is doing it. She does what she wants, and most of the time if she’s being reckless, it’s because she’s in a bad place mentally and trying to cover it up with slap-happiness. And when this happens, she’s a danger to herself and everyone around her. It started when she was fourteen and got progressively worse--parties, drinking, flashing, dancing on ledges, taking one too many pain killers--nothing is too reckless. Add alcohol or the occasional drugs to the mix and she’s a statistic waiting to happen.

The Mutant
Codename: Black Cat
Mutant Abilities:
Felicia has the psionic ability to subliminally affect probability fields. She can cause improbable, though not impossible, events of "bad luck" to anyone in her immediate vicinity that she perceives as a threat to be susceptible to freak accidents, like guns jamming and exploding, or tripping on objects.
Felicia is also mutated with cat-like abilities giving her enhanced agility, endurance, infrared vision and the sensory acuity of a cat. Her sense of smell is so acute, she is capable of smelling pheromones.
-Enhanced Claws: Felicia has retractable highly durable and razor sharp claws in her fingertips enabling her to rend through a variety of substances, such as fabric, wood, even soft metals and cinder block with ease.
-Superhuman speed: Over short distances, she can sprint at a top speed of about 40 miles per hour.
-Strength: Her strength is increased to the maximum of human potential, enabling her to lift approximately 800 lbs with maximum effort.
Weaknesses:
Felicia’s probability powers are subconscious, so she can’t really control what happens and who it happens to. Dangerous for enemies and anyone around her, even her friends. Should she get angery at a loved one, even they will be affected by her power and be cursed with bad luck. Aside from that, she can be injured like any normal person.
History:
Felicia Hardy is an only child and was born to Walter and Lydia Hardy. They were a wealthy family living in Queens, New York. Her father was a “travel salesman” and would go away on many business trips, leaving her mother to raise Felicia mainly by herself. However, her father would constantly encourage her to be the best at what she does. However, her mother was not satisfied with “her best” and always pushed Felicia to win first place. Felicia would find interest in extracurricular activities such as cheer leading and gymnastics. When Felicia was thirteen years old, one day during cheer leading practice her mother informed her that her father had died in a plane crash over the Andes Mountains in South America. However, Felicia would eventually discover that her father was an infamous cat burglar in the newspapers, which allowed her to piece together the reason for her father’s “business trips.” One day, when Felicia was mugged, she learned of the excitement that comes in her father’s career. She decides to learn self defense and enrolls in martial arts classes. Felicia also takes the time to learn how to pick locks and crack open safes in hopes of living such an adventurous life, but she was only 14…school came first.
Freshman year of high school, Felicia is very popular with the guys and is eventually in a relationship with her school’s star quarterback, a senior named Ryan. Everything seems fine and Felicia loves Ryan and he seems to care for her. All that changed one night at a party Ryan decided he was sick of ‘waiting for the right time’ and he date raped Felicia. When she came to, Felicia was horrified and couldn’t quite grip on what to do. She didn’t want to tell anyone of what happened and so she kept the secret. Even when asked why she broke up with Ryan, she wouldn’t inform anyone of how he stole her innocence. Her mother grew concerned, sending her to a shrink and putting her on medication. For the sake of her mother, Felicia would pretend everything was alright and continued on with her young life.
The following year, Felicia’s life would change again. She still acted like a beautiful and popular girl on the outside, but on the inside, still broken, though her behavior was more stable thanks to the meds. However, homecoming week, her ex Ryan, now a college freshman had returned home for the game and seeing him stirred up feelings of anger in Felicia, the anger unknowingly triggered her X-gene. She wanted revenge and plotted to murder Ryan for what he did. She trained harder in order to prepare to kill him, and was slowly discovering the physical feline abilities her X-gene granted her. Once she felt the time was right, she stalked Ryan and decided to go to his dorm ready to tear his throat out with her claws. She arrived just as he was climbing into the car and as she cursed him under her breath, it turned out that she had literally cursed him. The engine exploded; as did the car, killing her would be prey inside. She grew furious she didn’t get to kill Ryan herself but, her life went on, his didn’t. It’s what she wanted.
She continued to train in her father’s footsteps of being a world class thief. She’s break into the houses of her neighbor hood, department stores, any place really. She soon created an alter ego and dubbed herself the Black Cat and even created a costume. She could get away with her crimes easily because anyone who tried to stop her fell under misfortune, thanks to her probability powers and she would slip out of their grasps. Felicia’s mother was not a fool and noticed the extra funds in her daughter’s bank account and other precious possessions in Felicia’s room. When confronted, a heated argument would ensue and Felicia’s powers activated and she watched in horror as the ceiling cracked and a chandelier fell, nearly crushing her mother. Felicia had always wondered why random misfortune fell upon anyone who had upset her and looking back, it all started that night with Ryan. Was she really the cause of their bad luck? Was she really the reason Ryan died? Did she almost kill her mom? There was also the whole being a mutant thing. With the recent fear of homo superior, Felicia wouldn’t know how her mother would react if she found out the truth. Until she got answers, Felicia decided it would be best to cut herself off from her friends and her mother. She ran away from home and now roams the streets of New York.
