Penny just nodded in agreement not going to mention that HSM was actually one of her guilty pleasures. They had a chubby girl in it that could dance and she liked to dance so yeah, Martha was a big influence on her. She knew most guys didn’t like Zac Efron even though most girls thought he was cute. She did like him 17 Again but just nommed her pizza and nodded. ”Transformers is one of the few that I could see ranking up there. But there was still something off about making it one of the greats. Not the story line just something was off. At least Shia L is starting to come into his own as long as he doesn’t backslide. Ryan Reynolds needs to get seriously serious. Deadpool was just an extreme version of his previous characters. Brendan Fraser? I had such high hopes for him with the Mummy movies but then…. Monkey Bone, Dudley Do Right and he vanished.” She let out a small sigh and bowed her head in mourning.

He looked over at her and realized she knew her movies. He grinned as he shook his head. "Naw, the last truly classic movie had Shia in it. Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. Yet, he did get some major help from the rest of the cast. Don't know some old dude can still act I think his name was Harrison Chevy or something like that." He winked over at her and thought about Transformers for a minute. "I don't know I think Transformers pretty much knocked movies like Independence Day out the water. Those high budget special effects movies, the ones that aren't supposed to have a lot of acting power behind it, but shocks the world when you start believing in a twenty foot tall Ken worth."

Penny nodded and giggled a bit. ”I thought the old guy’s name was Han Jones… Or was it Henry Solo? I was actually kind of surprised at how well Shia pulled it off though. I was kind of expecting a lot more Louis Stevens to come out of him. He has potential if he gets the right movie and they don’t have crappy writing and directing. Like Bryan Singer.” The girl had to agree she thought the movie was awesome it was just something was a little off to her about it and she didn’t know what that was. ”Is it bad that I cried when Prime died but couldn’t care less about the Titanic?” She crinkled her nose a bit. For her romantic movies were all the same nowadays and kind of lose their sniffle punch. If the story is unique then she’d probably sniffle and aww, but the Titanic was just a bit of a wash in her mind.

Looking at her he chuckled. "Let me ask you a question here to answer yours. Do you start to tear up in those war flicks when that old dog that had survived countless battles gives his life to save that young recruit?" He smiled at her, with a wink "I think that pretty much tell ya how I feel about the Titanic question."

Penny sat back and thought about it. "You have a point there. But then nowadays it's like watching a great actors final film." Most of them had passed on and it was only a matter of time before the rest had faded. This caused Penny to sniffle a bit at the thought. "It makes me afraid how 'classic' the movies that suck now are going to be when our kids are growing up." She let out a small whimper at that thought.

Nodding his head he looked over at her. "I'll give ya that point, our kids are never going to know good TV until another great wave of actors comes along. Which I don't see happening anytime soon." He looked over and around and thought about the lifetime he had growing up to all the greats. "Yeah that is gonna seriously suck."

"It's sad though some of the stuff I loved as a kid I roll my eyes at now and wonder how I could have watched it. I mean, the old stuff my parents had on VHS. Somethings are still amazing like the Ninja Turtles and Transformers. That stuff never gets old." She stretched out her short legs and looked over at him. "I used to be about talent now it's just about looks. I mean back then a size six was sexy not they are considered over weight. You used to believe in the characters and the story and now you try not to roll your eyes and look at your watch. So what movie next, or do you have to go?" Oddly enough she was wide awake.

He grinned as he thought about that one again and nodded his head slowly. "I know what you mean, about the story now taking a second seat to the hottest tween star. I'm good for another take your pick, I'm not picky whatsoever about what I watch. At least as long as it's good. Here is a great concept done bad for you. Elf. God that movie should have been so good, but was sooooo bad." He shook his head as he looked back at her and wondered what was going on with the things that happened around them. He thought about her comment about the size six, and had to agree about that, but he decided to keep that to himself, no point in laying all his cards down on the table.

"I know. I mean don't get wrong for light fluffy stuff I don't mind like Wizards of Waverly place and stuff like that. But like I said, when I get more upset over a giant robot buying it over something that's supposed to make me cry... that makes me cry. And then.. then they take all these great things from back in and the day and screw them to the point of no return." She took a deep breath and a bite of her pizza. Then she sipped her drink and looked at him. "Is it sad that I wanted to grab Will Farrel and send so much fear throug him he never wanted to work on show buisness again? Really there had been so much potential and.... we got that?" Apparently, Penny was quite passionate about her movies. She started looking through an put in another comedy and then curled back up in her chair. "If it wasn't for boredom and some cute actors I'd boycott."

He laughed a bit as he looked over at her. "Now you know I can agree with that completely, Bewitched had so much potential if done correctly. But wow, did they ever screw the pooch with that one." He looked at her and listened to her as she talked about things, and the only thing he could do was smile at her. "Penny, if it wasn't for that X rated movie cinema two blocks from my old home, I would have boycotted the theaters too." he winked to let her know he was joking, but that it might get a good giggle out of her.

Penny sighed softly. "He's a great back up actor. Seriously, I loved him as Frank the Tank but he should not be allowed to be the one to carry the movie. He doesn't have that skill." He was a great character actor and great support but really Will Farrel needed to quit staring in the flicks. The girl giggled and blushed at his comment. "I am sure you have creative ways of getting in there." She shook her head and sipped her drink. "I like the B rated flicks, especially the martial arts ones..." Most wouldn't peg her as the type. "But I want to see the one about Julia Childs."
