So this is what it was like? Listening to police scanners from a rooftop and trying to find the right "catch". She had to admit, it was a bit more comforting to know that she wasn't going to just jump into some sort of senseless situation, a mistake she had made last time she was out patrolling the Big Apple and happened upon some shouts and gunshots. This time, however, things were going to be different and Patsy was going to be prepared for just about whatever was going to be flung her way. The proper martial and wrestling practice had been scheduled throughout the week; along with some self-training of her telekinetic and telepathic abilities, being able to fly or take out big guys through non-physical means might prove to be rather useful.
~Back-up requested at the old Hamstron Warehouse. Criminal units stationed on and in the premises~
This was it.
Time to redeem herself for her previous superheroine blunder.
Taking very little time to stand up from her crouched position and stretch, Patsy Walker pulled her cat-inspired mask over her face and became the Hellcat. Within seconds, the redhead had taken to the skies and was headed for the scene of the criminal activity. Her mind almost immediately flooded with questions. Thoughts concerning things like: who were the people that were posing the possible threat? would anyone else show up, police or hero wise? would she actually live?
Time flew by as the buildings and sky had and Hellcat had reached her destination. To be more specific, the roof of the Ham… something Warehouse. Now, all she had to do was put her skills to use. Glancing over the ledge of the rooftop, Hellcat made a visual sweep of the walkway below before taking her next action…
'Hey you! What are you doing up here?'
A voice from behind her and then gunshots. With the threat of bullets ripping through her frame into her, Hellcat put her agile body into motion and pressed her body against the roof before pushing herself up onto her hands and flipping towards the shooter, a foot extended and aimed for the person's jaw.
CRACK.
BLAM. BLAM.
The shooter collapsed to the ground as their finger made a couple more squeezes on their handgun. She had no idea how long she had 'til they were going to be out, but she sure as hell knew that it was in her best interest to not stick around. Hellcat took off in a run and propelled herself forward, her hands landing on the ledge of the rooftop and her entire body following the motion. Airborne. Her hair whipped wildly as she sailed through the air and headed for the warehouse's loading yard.
Hellcat landed with a soft pat on the ground and stayed in a crouch position. She waited for a moment, as a precaution related to the issue of being seen or tracked by those who had already seen her, and eventually stood up. Her head and eyes darted in combination, trying to figure out the next move she should make in her ultimate goal of foiling this criminal plot or whatever was going on. However, it appeared that taking the time to do such things were not beneficial to her stealth, because she heard a shout from somewhere in the warehouse's yard; it was something like:
'I saw something fly off the roof and land somewhere over here.'
Damn.
...
Damn. Damn. Damn.
Making any sudden movements might clue them, whoever 'them' was, into her position, which compromised her current position and situation even further. These were the things that anyone with real expertise wouldn't screw up on and even if they did, there would be a plan somewhere in the works. Hellcat, on the other hand, was drawing a blank. If 'them' came, she was just going to have to fight her way out of this mess.
