Laura payed at the desk and got her ticket from the lady. She rolled her eyes slightly as the woman told her to enjoy her visit. She shoved the piece of paper in her pocket, along with her hands. She had on a black jacket with zippers everywhere and a lacy red corset shirt. It was coupled with a red skirt with two giant buckles on each side. She had on a pair of ripped stockings and knee high buckled boots. Her hair was loose and her entire outfit was coupled with a few necklaces and a choker.
Humming slightly she passed a few interesting fish and other sea type creatures. She had no idea why she was here. Killing time and she didn't have any schoolwork. The Academy seemed slow and boring. And, as she had expected, nobody interesting yet. She still hadn't seen James either. She missed her big brother, more than anything.
Letting out a sigh, she fished a toothpick out of her pocket and chewed softly on one end. Approaching a new case, she couldn't help but people watch. There were a lot of children here, as to be expected. She allowed a small smile as a young boy pointed gleefully to a starfish. "Awww" she let out softly to herself. Her eyes wandered over to the next group of people. Middle aged lovers. They were locked at the arms an not really looking at the underwater animals. The next person was a school group. They were maybe in fifth grade. All smiles and such.
Laura migrated to a dark lit bench and sat down, continuing her watch. She leaned back and let out a small sigh.

Why he was here, he didn't even know himself. Could he be looking for the closest friend he got in the world? Maybe. Looking for new clothes? Highly unlikely. Waste some time going to the giant fish tank again in Boston? Hell yea. This was unsusal for him, he could be reading more on his powers and gain a better mastery over his own power. Or he could be working out oreven getting some cash. Whatever. He enters casually with the occsional people staring at the scar on his face. Was having a scar that bad in this type of society? It was a good thing they couldn't see the one on his chest.
He wore a red hat and a black jacket wit ha red shirt under it and black jeans. He was feeling red and black today. He shrugs randomly at the thoguht and realizes that he was kind of thinking out loud-ish. But not really. He looked around for a moment and an idea sparked in his head. Looking at fish isn't exactly fun without someone else. He remembered his trip with Echo.IT was fun until she became fake around him or so he believed. It was then he spotted a young woman in a corner. A possible recruit or maybe a friend. Morphia was always telling him to open himself more. So why not take a chance this time? He walked over to her. A politely spoke.
"Hello. Mind if I take a seat?"
(sorry for the lameness))

((it's all good lol))
Laura cast sullen eyes up at the voice approaching her. It was a boy. He looked a little bit older than her. And...was he wearing gang colours? She shifted slightly, scooting to make room, as well as silently answering his question.
She continued chewing on her toothpick, rolling thoughts around in her head, trying to come up with mild conversation. Meeting new people was not her thing. She didn't do conversation. It didn't come naturally to her.
"Do these fish remind you of home at all?"
She blurted it out before she could stop herself. How racist did that sound?! She made a potshot at his obvious Asian descent. Oh shit, was all that was running through her head.

He looked at her for a moment. That look turned into a blank stare the moment she ask if the fish reminded him of his home. He didn't think of it of a racist statement but an odd way to start a converstion. He was never good at talking to others himself but that is more strange than what he would usually say. Oh well, he had no real right to judge her, she seemed to be normal than him. But if she were a mutant he would attempt to recruit. Bah. Too much to think about all at once. He continued to stand when she decided not to answer his question.
"No....But these fish are unique."
He said calmly but trying to be as sweet as possible. Yes, he may be a calm, reserved, and sometimes seen as stern but he was a pretty sweet guy once a person got to really know him. But it was usually a challenge just to get him to talk. Not today though....It was an unusual day.
"So...You like to watch the fishes? Sharks? Jellyfish? Or even snails?"
He said adding a slight funny tone at the end.

"I like sharks" she said quietly, she could feel a blush creep up on her cheeks at her previous statement. She looked up at him once more and patted the spot she made available.
"Do you always talk to random girls in dim lighting?" she asked, as she cast a sideways glance at him.
She unbuttoned her coat all the way. It was hot in this place, hotter than she realized. Her eyes wandered over to the people again, and she noticed a slimy looking guy trailing the glass cases. He gave her a awkward feel. Shivering slightly, Laura focused her attention on the boy before her.
Offering her hand, and a small smile, she said" I'm Laura."

He leaned his shoulder on the nearest wall with his shoulder.A small grin appeared when she asked him the question. He was beginning to hope that he wasn't creeping her out of something. He kept to himself for a moment to think of what to say. What would Morphia say?
"Umm....Well you're cute so I figured that I should take a chance...."
He gave her what looked like a confident grin. But really he was extremely nervous on how she was going to react. He hoped in a positive manner. He lightly shook her hand and spoke calmly.
"They call me Byukurai."

Laura let her hand drop. Last chance of being friendly, she thought to herself as she looked up at the boy again. The next words that spilled from his mouth caused her face to go pale and kind turn into a confused head nod. The look was priceless. It said 'What did you just say?!'. Laura swallowed slightly and shook her head. "Well thank you...that's awfully...nice of you" She shook her head slightly and gave a small little laugh. Wow, Massachusetts was a whole new breed of weird to her. "Wow...nice name" was all she could say. She didn't think she could repeat it. In fact she knew he couldn't. "What brings you out here" she said motioning to the aquarium glasses.

He looked at her face and smiled lightly. Could he pull this off or keep his chances like this? He wanted to slightly push it futher but decided not to. He didn't want to make himself seem like a creeper. He continued to stand still not welcomed by Laura.
"Thank you."
He said with a soft chuckle knowing that she and many other couldn't pronouce it properly. He crossed his arms before speaking. Of course what would Morphia say?
"I drift from place to place. You?"

Okay, she thought to herself, weird answer. "I go to the Massachusetts Academy" she said as she looked up at him and gave a small smile.
He was a different breed of person. A type she hadn't met before. He was a loner, obviously. Fairly good looking, so that had to play in his game. But the thing that threw it off was that he was an approach-er.
Laura sighed and threw her toothpick on the floor by the bench and stood up, jingling slightly because of the buckles. "Well...shall we then?" she said motioning down the aquarium halls. She didn't want to sit there forever. And this boy was interesting, she felt she could use the companionship at the moment.
"Do you live around here then?" Laura asked as they started walking.

"Really now? I am going to assume you're different from the rest right? I met a few people from that should....Girls. And both ended with a sour note." He said casually. He gave her a soft grin. "You seem different....Nice."
He looked at her confused for a moment before she signalled him to follow her. So he continued to follow no questions asked. Wait should he act like an ass for her to like her? That's what Morphia-san said....Crap. He almost loss his cool until she asked if he lived around here.
"No. Like I said I tend to drift." He responded casually.

"That's something new to hear. Generally I get odd looks and random unsavory words thrown at me. I don't care what people think of me. And you happened to catch me on a good day. Most people wouldn't have had a snow balls chance in hell to talk to me. I let the 'cute' remark slide, because...well to be honest...I don't really know why. Most guys would have been skewered where they stood. Like I said...you caught me on a good day." she said with a small smile near the end of her speech.
She paused at a eel display. Now here were some interesting creatures. Slimy and so hypntic. "A drifter? I know just what you mean" Laura said, stopping her conversation there. She didn't want to get into her past with a random stranger. Especially one that she couldn't pronounce his name.

"Skewered?" He asked placing his hands into his pockets. That wasn't a term that he could like. It didn't seem she was all that interested in him ashame. He never had luck with women, why would that change now? Just because he acts like a badass? That wasn't a personality fit with him. He moved a hand to itch his nose lighty. And began to think of what she said once more. There was a smile at the end, was she joking with him? He didn't know and just smiled back at her.
When she stopped he did the same, shifting his weight to his right leg. He looked at the eels as well. They were such boring creatures in his mind. Living in a hole while just opening and closing their mouths all day. Then again they do harness electrity awhile in water without killing themselves with a bite or so he believed. Could he do the same, well as a last resort, biting into someone and giving them a huge shock. hen he thinks about dong that it's alittle weird. But in a fght against a superior enemy, desperate times might call for desperate measures. His mind drifted with the idea until he heard her voice once more.
"Well that's nice to know there is someone kind of like me." He said minding his own business if she wanted to tell him something she could. But he respected others boundaries and didn't want to pry. So that was the best that he could do while being polite. "So you like eels?"

Laura's eyes shot wide at his question. Shit, did I really say skewered, she thought to herself. She had to pick her words carefully. Think before she spoke and the like. "Oh, you know what I mean" she said trying to laugh it off.
She nodded her head at his second comment. "It's crazy really. People are so much alike. You never know..." she trailed off as she stared at nothing.
"Meh...they're interesting I suppose" she said with a quirky grin. "What sea animal do you like?"

"Yeah." He said with a chuckle. Truthfully he still didn't know if she was joking or not. But he didn't know he that much so he had to assume she really was, for now anyway. He gave her a warm looking grin when she said what she said. He thought that was true as well, hence why he couldn't truly trust anyone. He had a hard time with that the most.
On another note began to think of a sea animal that he liked. In all honesty he didn't like any sea animals. Well he didn't really have a favorite at least. "Well...Killer whales are cool." He said softly.

Laura couldn't help but laugh a little when he said killer whales. It was just not what she was expecting. He looked so dark and sketchy that something that reminded her of Free Willy was his favorite.
"So...in all honesty" she asked as she turned to him "what brings you out here? I mean, not that I don't believe you but, c'mon." she said as she smiled slyly.
