It was the end of September. The hot summer was transitioning into the cool and crisp autumn. The luscious greenery of the land had begun to turn into shades or oranges, yellows, reds and browns. Worst of all, school was back in session. It had only been a month in, but it was still horrible. It seemed like this year, the staff was cracking down hard on the students...maybe because the hellions were living up to their name sake, especially with what had happened at the field trip to the zoo over the summer. Not to mention that new teacher Dr. Von Damme who was the stiffest teacher yet. He actually kicked Davis out of his class for wearing pajamas? Then again, she wasn't surprised...Davis wasn't the most respectful student. Either way, point was school was shit and Jubilee needed a break from the academy all together as did her friends. So it was declared to have a girls night out with her besties Marie and Jean-Paul. Although Jean Paul wasn't physically a girl...but that was besides the matter.

The trio of young mutants found themselves in New York to get their shopping on. Mostly because they had ravaged every single shop and mall in the Boston area. It was time to take on The Big Apple and shop with the big dogs at the major department stores. Bloomingdale's, Henri Bendel, Lord & Taylor, Macy's Herald Square,
Saks Fifth Avenue...and there was secretly Jubilee's plot to get JP and Marie to go to the Toys 'R' US in Times Square. That was hush hush for now.

"Finally! We're here!" Jubilee smiled hopping out of their taxi in front of Bloomingdale's. She was way too excited because she had been wanting to freshen up her closet with new outfits. She had been experimenting with her look. Currently her normally shoulder length hair now fell 4 inches short of her waist thanks to the blessings of extensions. She wore lowrise fitting jeans, a black tank top, a pair of black heeled boots and of course, her trade mark short cut yellow leather jacket.

Turning back to the car, Jubilee lifted the shades over her eyes and set them a top her head shooting her friends a smile. "You guys are being slow pokes...and that is just unacceptable. Especially for you, JP. Come on! Come on! Come on!"

Marie had only needed to hear the words "Shopping Trip" and "New York" to want in on the trip. It had been ages since the French mutant had been to New York, after all... maybe she would ditch Jubes and JP later and drop by the Xavier's to see Adam. Maybe. But none of the other Hellions knew that she had been seeing the X-men, so maybe that wouldn't be a good idea...

She exited the cab as well, adjusting the white beret she wore. She had dressed up a bit for this trip as well- black slouchy boots and a pair of black leggings, then a white top that went down to her mid thighs.

“Well… if someone would ‘ave moved out of ze way when she exited ze taxi, we would ‘ave been able to get out.” She retorted in response, then grinned.

Jean-Paul couldn't be more excited. He had heard his entire life about the fantastic shopping opportunities in New York City and had dreamed one day about finally being able to make a trip to the Big Apple exclusively and that day was today. Of course for the young Canadian had been bored the entire cab ride with his two new partners in crime. The cab ride had taken hours for a trip that JP could personally accomplish in moments if he had wanted to. He had tried to convince Tarot and Jubilee to just let him transport them there but they had wanted to enjoy the "trip" in its entirety.

As the cab finally stopped first Jubilee and Tarot both finally got out of the cab and the seocnd he had even the slightest amount of room he disappeared in a burst of speed and was standing on the curb almost half way between the cab and Bloomingdale's by the time Jubilee's words actually reached his ears.

"Excuse me Jubilee? The day you can call me a slow poke is the day I swear off of Versace for life!" he said with a grin. He stood comfortably on the sidewalk watching both women as he wore a casual attire of designer jeans, dress shoes and a dress shirt. "Now you made me wait ffffffoooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeerrrrrr in that cab can we please not sit here and waste more time?" he said as he looked down at this watch

"JP! You know we're supposed to keep the powers on the down low...especially after that bucket head guy attacked the Navy and people are out hunting for us..." Jubilee said whipping around to face her flamboyant comrade. She could already tell that this wouldn't be just another ordinary shopping spree. I mean, they were in New York City. Some serious card charges were about to be made. With that thought, Jubilee slipped her hand into her jacket pocket to pull out her wallet and then taking out a check card labeled with Davis' name on it.

"I never told you guys how generous Davis was did I? Oh yes, it is about to go down today, ladies." she grinned devilishly. "Now! On to those Louis Vuitton pumps I see in the window display!" and she was off. She was no Northstar, but you can bet she picked up impressive speed when she dashed into the store.

"JP! You know we're supposed to keep the powers on the down low...especially after that bucket head guy attacked the Navy and people are out hunting for us..."

Of course the speedster and a very elegant and well thought out response.

"Pfftt, screw that Jubes. It's not like anyone here is even fast enough to notice me and its not like they could ever catch us." he said with a rolling of his eyes. As Jubilee pulled out Davis's card his eyes started to widen with the possibilites. While Jean-Paul wasn't nearly as rich as the other students he seemed to do ok for most apart. Especially since life at the Academy meant he had three square meals a day, a roof over his head so really he could spend what he had on clothing. Plus if something was too expensive he could always just "borrow" it.

"Already Ladies," he said as he looped an arm on Jubilee and the other through Tarot's, "lets just this city what we can do." He started leading them into the store to see what great things they could find.
