Sue sat at the table and looked across to the other seat opposite from her that was empty, she couldn't help but sigh as she gave a small glance at her wrist watch Reed was close to half an hour late. Sue for years had tried to understand that Reed had a love of inventing and that sometimes time could get away from him but she didn't really believe she was being unreasonable to ask for once in a while he stop focusing on engines and spend the time with her.
A young waiter came over to the table and without asking he refilled her almost empty glass with water. He didn't even need to ask if she wanted it he had come over so much that he knew she would say yes. What annoyed her is the small smile that he gave her as he poured the water that small half smile that almost was sympathy. Taking the glass in hand she took a drink of the water and set it down, she had to laugh at herself why was she waiting now all she wanted to do was put on sweats curl up with a book or movie and relax rather than sit here like a prize idiot. Sliding her chair back Sue got up from the table and made her way to the door she didn't need to pay after all she had gotten from the night but glances from other diners

"Susan?" Victor asked, his voice coming from the back of a limousine just outside the restaurant. He was on his way back from...something of a minor business venture. He's keen eyes had instantly picked her up as he walked passed.
Reaching for the door, opening it from the inside and swinging it open. "Need to be brought somewhere?" He was, of course, fully adorned in his armour, although between the various pieces of garb he was wearing, only the mask, arms and legs were visible.

Sue always enjoyed life in New York and although it sometimes was said that it was not safe to walk home alone at night that was not always the case, every major city the world over had more than its fair share of bad people. Walking out the doors of the restaurant sue buttoned her coat up and put her hands into her pockets and began to walk down the street, she was only a little way away from the doors when she heard her name being called. Looking around she looked towards the limo on the road, she had assumed that it had belonged to a Bachelorette party, as those where often the people she seen in them. But she knew that voice "Victor?" she replied with mild surprise. If it really was him in the back seat of the car she was both shocked and glad, glad she wouldn't have to walk all the way home or pay a cab fee but then surprised by his almost too perfect timing.
She watched as the door swung open in an almost menacing fashion she couldn't help but give a small smile "Its been a while" looking back to the restaurant that she had just come from she looked back towards the open door of the limo "Did you know I was going to be here?" she asked in a playful manner she couldn't explain why but having an old friend, even Victor there was improving her mood greatly.

"Indeed, it has been quite sometime." Victor replied, one would expect people who had a child together would spend quite some time together, but...they had separate lives, both equally busy. It was...perhaps hard on Valeria, but if it was, she never gave a sign of it.
"No, I cannot say I did. It would seem it was simply a matter of coincidence." he continued, at this point wondering if she was actually going to get into the car. It was a limo after, not always the easiest thing to get in and out of traffic. But Victor wouldn't have it any other way, the mental image of him behind a driving wheel.....there was something gravely wrong with it.

Sue listened to the voice as it came from the darkness of the limo, she understood why he couldn't get out of the car the kind of look he sported did tend to attract a fair few glances and for that reason for all the time she had known him with the mask and armor he was forced to shield himself. When he spoke about how it had been a while she gave a soft smile into the darkness and hoped he could see even though both had drifted apart that didn't mean they had to be hostile with one another for there daughters sake Sue was always willing to give him the time of day.
When Victor said that he didn't know she was there she believed him, why would he lie he had no reason that she could know of. Walking towards the road Sue slid into the backseat of the limo closing the door behind her. Sue couldn't help but feel a little awkward being in the back of a limo with a former lover and father of her daughter would have sent the gossip columns buzzing if they knew, thankfully she and Reed had been out of the main public limelight for a while and she was getting used to the slight peace. She tried to think of ice breakers like you look nice or how have you been but neither seemed to fit. Looking over at him she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear " If you could drop me off at the Baxter building that would be really helpful" not the best ice breaker in the world but it was the best she could do for now.
