Slings were obnoxious. That was the only deduction Kurt Wagner had been ultimately certain of over the last few weeks since the fight with the brotherhood. He had only run into Mr. Lensherr in passing… but he couldn’t have imagined the destruction that followed or the fact that one of his associates would have managed to dislocate his arm. Him. It made Kurt question quite a bit in just what he was. Those people were so evil. They hurt humans who had done nothing wrong. Kurt Wagner couldn’t bring himself to hate anyone. How could these men and women fight with such loathing? It was his first day without that troublesome tool that restrained yet set his shoulder. He was relieved to be able to move his arm, no matter how limited it was. Despite the limitations, Kurt Wagner was a happy, fuzzy, camper.
BAMF!!!
He looked around the Rec Room for a moment. It was still starting to get fairly late and Kurt still had problems in venturing from his room in his natural form. Without the holographic watch that he used as a crutch. His sulfuric colored eyes flickered in a blink as he tried to walk on all fours towards one end of the room to find his shoulder still a bit tender. “<<Curses,>>” he hissed under his breath in both frustration and discomfort as he used his three good appendages to make his way across the room until he found his tail tangled up in some cord. His eyes rounded in curiosity while he unraveled himself. It was attached to the television. What was this thing? He backed up; looking at the box. He inspected it skeptically as he ran his fingers along the dark plastic casing. A finger found a button and he couldn’t help but press it.
The television flashed on and a brief, albeit loud, note underwent the starting of what others would say was a Ps3. Kurt did not know that, though. He scampered behind the couch; frightened of the loud foreboding tone that blared from the television as a program started up. Shaking, Kurt peeked over the edge of the couch to look at the screen; still cautious of what he’d found.

Penny had raided the kitchen again. She hadn't gotten as hurt as some of the other students in the battle, so she'd bounced back fairly quickly. So, she had found herself alone and in the kitchen whipping up some snacks. She was just going to take them back to her room when she heard the rec room tv go on. The girl stuck her head in and looked around. The peach turnovers, still warm from the oven, started to scent up the room. "Kurt? Are you alright?"
The chunky butt stepped into the room completely and headed over to the freaked out furball. "It's alright, it's just the T.V. and whatever game is in the PS3. How are you feeling? You alright? Anything broken?" Brown eyes looked him over with concern. He was such a sweetheart, he didn't deserve to be hurt. "I have turnovers. Do you like peach?" She held up the plate to show him.

Kurt’s attention jerked from the terrifying demon in the television to Penny. He remembered her. She was nice and fed him (which was always a plus in the blue elf’s book). “I am fine… I s’ink. Once mein heart starts vorking again, ja?” he said in an attempt at a joke while he smiled somewhat weakly. He rotated his arm that had been hurt from the skirmish against the Brotherhood. “Just a leettle soar.” He nodded as if to punctuate his answer and scratched the back of his neck with the spade of his tail.
He shrank into a crouch on all fours before he eyed the plate with a skeptical sulfuric gaze before edging closer. “Peach?” he inquired in a fairly clueless as he looked at the turnovers. “I do not know if I like zem…” he replied quietly before looking back at the television for a moment, afraid it would do something else that was fairly disturbing. He leapt onto the back of the couch and sat on the edge of it. “Vhy are you up? It is considered late, ja?”

Penny set the plate down on the table and headed over to the television to turn it off. When it was off she turned and looked at him. "Not used to that yet, huh? Want me to show you how it works?" The girl smiled warmly at him as he made his joke and shook her head softly. The poor thing. She headed back over to him and sat on the edge of the table and picked up the plate.
"Peach. If you don't like them I can go make something else. Want to try one?" He held the plate up to him, and let him take in the aroma. Maybe it would give him an idea on if he liked it or not.

Kurt let out a slight sigh. “Nein. I am too used to the circus.” His head hung slightly as his shoulders shrugged and he repressed a wince while he mentally cursed his healing injury furiously in German. “I still haf not given zis… TeeVee a try. I only haf watched vas has been on already,” he explained as he tilted his head towards the machine as if it were some sort of sleeping monster that caught his fascination. It was, in all reality, something that he was curious about. He had heard great things about the H-D and movies that involved Errol Flynn. Then again, he watched Robin Hood with him starring in it the other day and already the fascination had begun.
He looked at the plate from his perch and brought an oddly configured hand up to cradle his chin. A digit tapped his nose in contemplation. Really, it was probably much better than the borderline kibble he’d had at the circus and there was no way that he disliked the food here in America. Not to mention, if memory served him right (and it usually did), Penny’s food was actually quite delicious. Regardless, he cautiously took in the scent with a few near animalistic sniffs before ever-so-gently bringing his hand from his face to pluck one of the pastries from the dish. “Danke,” he said quietly and inspected it further before taking a bite.

The girl tilted her head and grinned. "Want me to show you how to work the T.V. so you can watch it whenever you want?" She picked up the remote and looked over at him. The poor guy, so many things he wasn't used to, and she had to wonder if anyone even took the time to show him anything. Well, she was here and if he wanted to learn how to operate the electronics, she'd be more than happy to. "What kind of shows have you seen?" She also wondered if he liked them but she didn't want to sit here and seem as if she were interrogating him.
A small smile touched her lips as she sniffed the pastry. She hoped he liked them, but it wasn't a big deal if he didn't. "Oh, I totally forgot to answer your question. I couldn't sleep. Hey, you want me to make some movie snacks? Then when I get back we can see what's on. I mean only if you want to of course." She wasn't the type that liked forcing her company on anyone. But she wouldn't turn him down if he wanted to learn how to work the stuff, eat, and maybe watch a movie or two.

Kurt looked from the television back to Penny. “Ahm… ja… das vould be nice,” he said timidly but with an appreciative smile. He had been shown a lot during his initial tour at the school. Unfortunately, it was a lot and all at once so a good number of it went forgotten. Now while on his own a bit in regards to how things worked in the mansion the one thing Kurt Wagner would always remember was how to work the microwave. “Ahm… I usually come in vhen zere are old movies playing… I like ze ones zat haf the sword fights in zem,” he answered with a nod. That was true, every time he’d come around, some adult had left the tv on. It had only been twice but he remembered the actor. Ugh! What was his name? “Errol Flynn! Das ist his name. He’s in ze movies I haf seen.” He grinned, not wanting to seem too deprived (even though he was in some sense).
He continued his inspection, pausing from taking a bite to listen to his friend (she was a friend, right?). “You do not haf to eef you do not vant to,” he replied. His stomach was practically roaring ‘feed me snacks and make them delicious!’ but he would never be so rude. Not when Penny had always been so nice. “I vould like to see vas ist on though… it could be fun, ja?” he said with a wide grin; glad at least someone else in this school had some nocturnal tendencies that he had. He then ventured to take a bite of the turnover and chewed thoughtfully. Oh. Mein. Gott. he thought in bliss before grinning widely after he’d swallowed. His eyes nearly shut from the size of the smile as he gave his approval and practically devoured the food.

Penny smiled at him and headed over to him. She noticed he was still checking out the pastry and stifled a giggle. She handed him the remote. ”This is the remote for the tv.” She showed him what the buttons did and how to work them. When he told her what kind of movies he liked she grinned. ”Come here.” She headed over to the large cabinet by the entertainment center and opened it. ”These are all movies. I'll show you how to work the DVD player too. Then you can watch whatever movies you want too.” He liked Errol Flynn but she bet he'd like a funny movie to so she picked out Men in Tights, and showed him how to work the DVD player as well.
”It's not a problem. I have movie snacks up in my room. It will be quicker. I'll be right back. You might like that movie, its a comedy.” She was almost to the door when he finally tried the pastry. It made her giggle as she slipped off. For better or worse Penny Lake just introduced Nightcrawler to peaches. She came back with her arms loaded with goodies and drinks. After they were set on the table she curled up on the couch. ”Ready?” She really did love movie nights and all of her snacks were homemade, the popcorn had even been made on the stove. It was fresh and hot and what took her so long, she detoured.
