Applying too: US Government(Unaffiliated)
In what capacity: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Family: Harold Barton (Father, deceased), Edith Barton (Mother, deceased), Bernard Barton (Brother), Abigail Brand (Wife), Richard Brand (Father-in-Law, deceased), Kathryn Brand (Mother-in-Law, deceased), Anna Brand (Sister-in-Law, deceased), Grace Brand (Sister-in-Law, deceased), Henry Brand (Father-in-Law), Susan Brand (Mother-in-Law)
Height: 6’ 3”
Weight: 230lbs
Appearance:
Skills:
A few years back Clint would never had been described as an able and gifted student when it came to his academic studies, in fact most of his teachers would have laughed you out of the classroom for even suggesting such a fact. Not much has changed there in many regards, and Clint is still very much more of a practical student rather than theoretical, the only exception being his surprising aptitude when it comes to electronic devices.
Owing to his time as a trouble maker, not to mention the few years he spent on the road getting into all manner of proverbial droppings, Clint has picked up a large amount of, shall we say, “less-than-legal” skills ranging from lock picking all the way to hotwiring. Skills that have since been improved upon thanks his training with S.H.I.E.L.D.
Physically he is in an incredible condition; having rigorously trained and conditioned his body to that of an Olympic level athlete, and could possibly go for Gold in gymnastics if his career with the government goes south. He could also be considered by many a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant thanks to the intensive crash courses that S.H.I.E.L.D. provides to its operatives.
Finally, not to mention unsurprisingly given his ability, Clint is a masterful marksman with very few (if any) rivals. He is able hit any target with near-perfect precision, and throw objects with a startling display of speed and force. He is currently able to aim, knock, draw, and fire six arrows in the time it takes a regular human to fire six bullets.
Personality:
Clint Barton is something of a joker when it comes to the world in general, constantly finding amusement in his day to day life. He’s also one to always buck against the rules and authority, continuously questioning and pressing his luck. Despite this, when the chips are down, Clint is more than willing to buckle down and do his job without complaint, just maybe a few wise quips here and there.
To say he’s quite confident in his abilities with projectile weapons is somewhat of an understatement, with Clint having literally referred to himself as “God’s Gift to Marksmanship” on more than one occasion. Indeed, questioning his talent in that regard is not only the the quickest way to offend the man, it’s also the quickest way to get an impromptu demonstration that can sometimes get both hair-raising and messy.
While he’s done something’s he’s not proud of, not to mention several things he probably shouldn’t be proud of, Clint is still a good man deep down, and is perfectly willing to walk the line if it means keeping his friends or civilians safe from harm.

The Mutant
Codename: Hawkeye
Mutant Abilities:
Clint has outstanding perception abilities, letting him not only accurately calculate the exact size, depth, and distance of an object, but to also “perceive” the flight paths of projectile weapon. This allows him to quickly and precisely assess exactly how and where to place his shot for the maximum degree of accuracy, and not only does it work in direct aim, but also allows him to perform tricky rebound shots or ricochets that can leave many onlookers astounded.
Weaknesses:
Hawkeye is one hundred percent human (or mutant to be exact), and as such is still limited to the very same restrictions and requirements any normal human might face.
While his aim is (near-)perfect thanks to his gift, Hawkeye is still restricted by the equipment or objects he has at his disposal – Just because he can hit a man between the eyes with a marshmallow doesn’t mean it’ll suddenly have the ability to hurt/kill him.
Perhaps one of his biggest weaknesses however is his underlying issues with authority figures and the like, issues that have, and indeed still do, lead him into contention with practically everyone he meets.
History:
Clint Francis Barton, son of Harold and Edith Barton, had something of a troubled childhood growing up in the small city of Waverly, Iowa. With his parent’s tragically dying in a car crash, he was pretty much raised as a ward of the state, a fact that never did sit well with him. Always one to push the rules to the breaking point, Clint and his partner in crime/older brother, Barney, quickly established a well deserved reputation as troublemakers.
His mutant abilities manifested themselves during high school, and Clint sudden began to see the world in a whole new light. Whatever he turned his hand to, be it baseball, basketball, or his favourite archery, he quickly established himself as the king of the sport. Sadly his newfound abilities didn’t seem to help it when it came to the academic side of life, and Clint was something of a below average student in the classroom.
Following School, in light of not having much in the way of career options, Clint and his brother took to the open road, performing basic jobs and entering Clint into whatever marksmanship tournaments they came across, not to mention making a killing by hustling.
It was during this time that Barney and Clint eventually went separate ways, the former having grown tired of Clint always receiving the attention thanks to his circus-like tricks and easy going attitude and the latter having grown tired of his older brother’s constant griping. Clint hasn’t seen his brother since.
Sometime before his twenty first birthday Clint had a slight altercation with the law, having started a drunken fight in a bar that, by all rights, he shouldn’t have been drinking at in the first place, a fight that ended up with several folk having a pretty serious amount of hospital time on their hands. Thankfully however, while Clint was stuck at the local sheriff’s office behind bars, he was approached with an offer by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, having been on their radar due to the constant stream of tournaments he’d been winning up and down the country. They offered him a choice, a choice between a stint in jail, albeit however short, or a chance to test his skills and get paid one heck of a salary, not to mention a pretty snazzy benefits package. Needless to say, Clint chose the latter.
S.H.I.E.L.D. quickly ascertained that Clint’s marksmanship abilities weren’t the kind you could naturally attain and soon discovered that Clint’s gift was indeed of mutant origin. This information however was quickly classified due to the sensitive nature of the mutant condition at that time.
Working with the agency wasn’t exactly a cakewalk however, and his seemingly constant need to push the limits and less-than-professional conduct soon brought him into odds with his commanding officers, not to mention his co-workers. Despite this, Clint nevertheless soon proved to be a capable agent, if slightly quirky, and many see him as an asset to the organization, albeit a tenuous one.
Twenty ten was a year of trial for Clint, having to deal with both the increased amount of duties SHIELD was laying on them and the chaos caused by the revelation of mutant kind, but he nevertheless persevered with his usual flare for scraping past complete and utter disaster. Twenty eleven and twenty twelve were no different really, the chaos just kept piling up and he just kept landing himself in one hairy situation or another, barely keeping himself and his team out of winding up either dead or worse. Same old, same old really.
Shortly before the war got into full swing Clint found himself enjoying a brief moment of respite prior to his deployment, opting to take in a nice pleasurable cruise to real and unwind. The end result was one hell of hangover, an interesting and unusual tattoo, and a noticeably lighter wallet. Oh and somewhere in the drunken haze of it all he managed to get himself hitched to a certain green haired fellow Agent of SHIELD. The fallout of that is still being felt as neither party seems ready to address it, taking full advantage of the hectic days that quickly followed as an excuse to avoid the issue entirely.
The war itself has actually served as a proving ground of sorts for Clint, and he has often found himself at (and in many cases beyond) the front lines of the conflict, serving in a plethora of roles that have garnered him quite the reputation. Gone are the questions about his future with the agency, replaced instead with multiple decorations and commendations for his actions in the field that have lead him to be counted amongst some of the top agents in the world at present. Probably not amongst the top husbands, though.
