Appearance:
Kitty's confidence comes off in her appearance. She's athletically built and average height and weight. She has long brown hair, that's almost always pulled up, and hazel eyes that are almost always sparkling. She loves fashion and her clothes reflect that, though usually through cute skirts or jeans with equally cute tops. She's a firm believer in cute and sassy, not tramp and trashy.
Skills: Kitty has been a dancer for most of her life. Because of this her she is currently a professional level dancer capable of learning any dance move that is within her physical strength capability. As a result of this she is in very good shape and is also very flexible. Her dance training helps her to learn new fighting techniques because of muscle memory as well as durability from dancing. To compliment her physical skill set Kitty has a rather sharp mind with a specialization of knowledge about computers and computer systems.
Kitty has also been learning karate and Aikido, since she joined the Academy, so for approximately four years. She is also nearly fluent in Japanese, the language she had chosen to take since she joined the Academy.
Personality:
Outgoing, fun, and giggly are three words to describe Kitty Pryde. Flirty, energetic, and loyal, are three other words to describe her. She's a happy girl who loves to dance and shop, and she has gotten used to her powers. She actually uses them without thought now, so she tends to run a little late. Oh yeah, and always on the move, is yet another way to describe the girl. She always has somewhere to go or something to do, regardless of how important it seems to someone else. But then again a sale, or getting to her room to hear a new c.d., or even catching her favorite show is cause for her to rush. Oh, oh and it cannot be forgotten that getting to class is another reason, since she loves learning new things.

Mutant Abilities: Kitty's mutant abilities allow her to cancel out the magnetic charge of her body, and anything she chooses to extend her power to, that allows her to pass through solid objects and walk on air. A side effect to her powers is that she cannot move through electronics without disrupting and destroying the machine. She refers to her ability as "Phasing" and not the technical term of corporal intangibility.
Weaknesses: The amount of mass that Kitty can phase varies in difficulty, she could probably go through her entire life while phasing without breaking a sweat, another person can be done with minimal effort and it continues to shoot up in difficulty from there right up to something the size of a jetliner as the largest object she can phase successfully. But an item that size drains Kitty in a matter of seconds and the effort of it can lead to her fainting. Her power is also not completely immune to temperatures. She does not burn nor freeze but she can still feel the extremes while phasing which could lead her to being shocked out of it.
History: Born to a middle-class Chicagoan family Kitty Pryde did not really want for anything. She was the only child in her family and received all of the support from her parents any child could possibly want. Kitty was enrolled in dance classes at a very young age as an outlet for her excess energy. From the age of four she attended dance classes multiple times a week. It began with the typical ballet and tap but her repertoire would expand as she grew older, as would her interests in other activities. When she began schooling she found that she had a passion for it because of her somewhat competitive spirit. This of course led her to being teased and labeled as a nerd and a geek. As a result growing up, from elementary school straight to her sophomore year of high school, she was hard pressed to have many friends despite a rather pleasant disposition. Because of this Kitty found a bit of solace in computers as well as dance. With computers she found that, rather unlike dancing which had originally been an outlet for her excess energy, it all came naturally to her.
By the time Kitty was in high school she'd become quite the accomplished computer user (for her age), to the point where she was considering a technical school for college and to use dancing as a way for her to get scholarships to get through college. This however quickly became the least of her problems when one morning she woke up on her couch in the living room; which in and of itself wouldn't be odd if she hadn't gone to sleep in her bed. Kitty soon realized that something serious was going on with her because when she looked up at the ceiling she could see her sheets sticking through it. She knew then in that moment that she wasn't quite like everyone else.
This new revelation led to an initial state of shock where she became a bit more reclusive than she had been previously, but this change only lasted a short while. It ended when she was approached by both Charles Xavier and Emma Frost to join their respective institutions and it was explained that she was a mutant. In the course of it she had to decide which side she'd want to join. To Kitty, both seemed to have merits but she made her decision within a week. She decided that Mass Academy would better suit her and her plans for herself. Kitty moved when she was just fourteen to her new school. Over the next four years she grew to become an integral member of the school and did her best to always help her schoolmates with things like training, dancing, or school. Not only that, but with the way the world was, by then, she felt it was safer for her and her parents if she moved. She didn't want anything to happen to them because of their 'freak' of a daughter.
During her time at the Academy many things of happened to her. One of which was being kidnapped and tortured by the Reverend William Stryker. She's become quite the fighter and uses her powers as if it were a second nature to her.

”Oh my god! I love that top. Very cool, very very cool.” The one know as Kitty or Shadowcat, gushed a bit over the top that her Jubilee had just bought. It was really cute and looked great on the older girl. ”I love your fashion sense. You know what looks good on you and you go for it. Awesome.” Kitty knew what looked good on her and what she was comfortable in. She didn't care if someone didn't like it, as long as she did it was fine. She squeaked a bit when the bell rang and she waved to Jubilee as she danced off to class. It was dance and she loved it. The teacher was cool too.
There was some song playing in her head, so she was bebopping her way into the classroom right before the last bell rang. When she first got the academy she was a bit nervous, but she never let it show. It wasn't her style. Show them fear the older kids ate you alive, it was the truth of life for a high schooler. Now she was the older kid, fortunately for the younger generation she was pretty cool. Unless they annoyed her, then she'd pull a prank on them. She didn't have time to stop before she was about to collide with a fellow student so she phased right through them. ”Sorry!” Better a bit of weirdness then landing flat on her butt. At least that was how she saw it.
