Skills: Technology: Tony is at his most proficient when fiddling with different machines. This is most likely a by-product of his mutation but he has been modifying, upgrading and inventing everything from computer systems to engines from a young age and given the right materials there is very little he could create.

Personality: Tony doesn't seem to take life particularly seriously, he always seems to be making jokes and little sarcastic quips at situations, even when doing so would be considered completely inappropriate, this is a defence mechanism he uses to keep the seriousness of life away from him. It's how he has dealt with the death of his Mother and the absence of his workaholic Father. Despite this when he wants to be he can be very charming and is considered a bit of a womaniser.

Tony has an affinity with machines. To him they are simple, they have their processes that they perform over and over again efficiently and that makes them easy for him to understand, because of this he often talks to machine (especially robots) as if they were people.

The Mutant

Codename: None as of yet, but will eventually be Iron Man

Mutant Abilities: Technopathy: Tony has the ability to understand the inner workings of any machine. As long as he is within one hundred metres of a piece of technology he can mentally see it's inside workings and understand perfectly how it works.

Technokinesis: As a secondary mutation Tony is able to manipulate and control any technology with in his 100 metre radius. This means he could perform actions such as; work a computer from the other side of the room, drive a car from the back or operate a microwave oven whilst setting the table.

Weaknesses: Tony's power's main weakness is that he actually needs to be in the presence of a useful piece of kit for him to be useful in a fight. It is all well and good storming a base whilst wielding a battle Mech but if he is assaulted in a room where the machines consist of a telephone and a T.V and they aren't much good.

Tony isn't very trusting of people, he often surrounds himself with friends and people but it takes a lot for him to actually trust them. This makes it more difficult for him to function in a team because he is unable to put his life in the hands of others.

History: Anthony Edward Stark was born to Howard and Maria Stark the two heads of an up and coming technology and weapons manufacturer known as Stark Industries. The pair both decided to separate their lives between working and raising Tony themselves, however his Father struggled with maintaining the balance more then his wife and as a result Tony spent most of his time growing up with his Mother.

As Tony grew it was obvious that he had a love with tinkering with things. His Mother, Father and all the staff knew to keep an eye on him because he would often take toys apart and combine different toys together to make a new play thing, but little did they know what this habit was actually the beginning of.

When Tony was six disaster struck. Maria Stark, who had been a smoker for many years was diagnosed with lung cancer. This event made the family pull together as Howard took a temporary leave of absence, giving his close friend Zebediah Stane the authority to run the company. Tony wasn't exactly sure what was happening at this time, he knew his Mother was sick with something and he knew that everyone was taking it very seriously. It was then he decided he wanted to make his Mother feel better and took his first step in deciding he wanted to become an inventor.

Over the next few years the Starks were content, Maria was still battling cancer but they had never been this close before and whilst Tony had been unable to cure cancer his abilities to fiddle with things never diminished. At the age of eight Tony's abilities manifested, during a night watching the television all the electrics in the room began to wildly fluctuate, turning themselves on and off and randomly flicking channels. In a magnificent burst Anthony realised when he focused he could 'see' and understand everything that was going around him and how everything in the room worked. Upon showing his parents what he could now do his Father made sure to have him tested and when he was shown to be safe he was allowed to experiment with his abilities.

When Tony was ten his Mother finally lost her battle against cancer and died. Howard, in his grief threw himself back in to work, leaving Tony in the care of the butler Jarvis. Tony became more isolated from everyone but he had a special relationship with Jarvis, who acted like a second Father and was the only person that Tony felt confident in confiding his feelings to. Tony began using the time he could focusing on perfecting his abilities.

At the age of Thirteen Tony was enrolled in to a private boarding school in order to learn the skills his Father believed he'd need to one day take over control of Stark Industries. Tony wasn't pleased at having to leave home but he threw himself in to the lessons and quickly became one of the more advanced children in his class. As he advanced through the school he begun using his spare time to indulge in one of his favourite activities, playing with technology. He managed to arrange Jarvis to have several old cars sent to the school for Tony to restore and thanks to a sizeable donation managed to secure special time alone in the school's workshop.

When he reached fifteen Tony begun to act out a little. He still missed his Mother greatly and still wanted the attention he felt was denied to him by her passing. He begun to use his secret powers to cause mischief as well as spending more time with girls. He graduated at the age of eighteen but instead of going to college Howard Stark opted for his Son instead to go to a mutant school to take his college level education. After much deliberation he decided on Emma Frost's Boston based academy.

RP Sample: Tony folded his arms and rolled his eyes as he watched his fussy butler Jarvis potter around his room. He was glad to have the man here but the way he wanted to control everything and make it perfect reminded Tony of what it was like to be a child and have everything done for him and he didn't like that one bit.

”Jarvis...really, I'm fully capable of packing my own suit case...I'm just going to Boston, it's hardly China.” He had a feeling he wouldn't stop but he would continue along this reasoning until it got him somewhere. It was just then that he realised there was something that could get Jarvis out of his hair ”Y'know there is something I could have you do. I'll finish up here, you go down and finish up the preparations for shipping the larger stuff down to the academy. Then your done...catch some cricket, eat scones, score some chicks, whatever it is butlers do with their time...” with this he ushered Jarvis out of the room, letting out a sigh. Now..it was time to finish getting ready.
