With long dark hair, deep brown eyes, and her mothers heart shaped face Riley is an attractive girl, though she doesn't always feel it. Riley is quite slender but not size zero skinny, in her own words she has "tits and an ass". When in her day clothes her outfits are usually toned down gothic, her evening wear is a little more provocative.
Skills: A professional model, Riley knows how to move her body, she took some modern dance classes while at high school and was a cheerleader for a brief time (airheads, the lot of them) but never really stuck with either. She had some basic self defense classes at highschool, (because we all know young girls are going to be raped) which she really enjoyed but beyond that, she never bothered to enroll in any martial arts classes.
Personality:Riley is a sweet, fun loving girl. After inheriting her mothers singing voice, she rarely shy's away from jumping on stage, or even just on the karaoke on one of her various nights out. She acts as any seventeen year old girl should, carefree, even though she knows she has responsibilities, she doesn't let they weigh heavily on her lest she turn to the drink like she has so many times. Riley is best described as a quirky, girly nerd.

The Mutant
Codename: Ghost
Mutant Abilities: Imperceptibility-Invisibility;
Riley has the ability to render herself unseen to the naked eye (perceived by the sense of sight) without causing any visible distortion effects; She can psionically sheathe herself in invisible energy, not only herself but the clothes she is wearing also. she has tried to make small objects invisible too, the largest object she has tried and succeeded to make completely invisible is her writing desk. She has not yet tried to make another human being invisible. This is an active power and only renders her invisible at will, her normal state is visible.
She can however become partially visible, this is usually when she is in the process of becoming invisible as it is not an instant process, and looks almost as if she is fading away to nothingness. The time it takes for her to become completely invisible is around 30 seconds, but shes getting faster.
While invisible, Riley is immune to light-based attacks and illusions, and no light is required to see.
Weaknesses: While invisible, Riley's presence can still be psychically sensed, her heartbeat, breathing and footfalls heard and her scent smelled, and she isn't the stealthiest of people. Riley is also still also fairly new to her power, and as yet has not received any formal training to control her invisibility, so when she experiences any strong emotions that evoke the fight or flight response (nervousness, shock, fear etc.) she automatically begins to 'fade out'.
Rileys real dad was an alcoholic and some say that its a inheritable trait, when Riley gets drunk she gets really drunk, as in unable to walk sort of drunk. Even though she is underage, either guys buy her drinks to get into her pants, or she uses her modeling influence and natural charm.
Riley is a rebel through and through and that often means she doesn't achieve as highly as she should, and is quite flakey when it comes to seeing a project through, there has to be something she wants out of the deal. Rileys also a commitmentophobe, meaning if a relationship gets serious, she gets freaked out, its probably a parental thing (or so her shrink says).
History:
Rileys parents were barely nineteen when she came screaming into the world. Neither of them had a job and were both highschool dropouts, trying to make ends meet by doing the circuit in a punk band, her mother on vocals and bass and her dad was the drummer. The lifestyle that they were living was pretty unsuitable for a baby to be brought up around, late nights, casual drugs and alcohol.
Her mother, Chastity, was the first to realize this, giving up the pot and the alcohol and eventually leaving the band altogether to be a full time mom to the little tot. Her dad wasn't so enthusiastic about being a parent, he never really wanted kids to begin with, he wanted the rock and roll lifestyle, and after Chastity left the band they struggled to replace her. His mood only spiraled downwards, and the more he drank, the more violent he became.
Chastity was lucky that she was a strong willed woman, and left the first time he threatened her and baby Riley, finding safety and solace in the arms of her ex-music teacher, Chase Evans, who was six years her senior and much more mature. Eventually the pair married when Riley was four, Adrian giving up all legal guardianship over to Chase. The three finally becoming a happy family.
As Riley grew, Chastity saw a lot of her father in her, but hoped she would grow out of her rebellious nature, but that wasn't to be. Her mutation finally surfaced when the girl was fourteen, there was a shooting at her school and all the students hid under their desks, Riley fading away to nothingness as she shook. It wasn't her that noticed she had became invisible, but her classmates, who made a such a big deal about her being a mutant that she had to switch schools.
She was never really the same after that, she stopped being a cheerleader and stopped any extracurricular activities that involved really mixing with her peers. Outwardly she was the same confident, crass young rebel, but she didn't keep people as close as she once did.
At sixteen the modeling she did as a hobby finally paid off and she was signed by a modeling agency, doing some high profile spreads and earning enough to keep herself comfortable. Her mom wouldn't let her drop out of highschool lie she had, Chastity wanting Riley to have something to fall back on if it all went wrong, Riley calling her mother a hypocrite and really proving she was her fathers daughter with all the partying and booze.
As a consequence of Riley finding herself 'fading out' more and more on set, her mother took the initiative of enrolling her in Xavier's school for gifted youngsters. Though the move was a big change, she was happy to be in New York, even if she hasn't quite gotten used to the school yet...

Shila was right, this was needed. A night out in New York was risky, but she was just that type of girl, if things got out of hand she had enough hired muscle on her tail to get her and whoever was with her out of there pronto. Not that she couldn't hold her own, but dad liked having peace of mind.
"Hope you're ready for this..." She grinned wryly at Shila as they swiftly bypassed the line at club 'Gilgamesh' She knew exactly who owned it, but it was the best spot anywhere for decent music. Pausing briefly as a camera flashed right in her face, she regained composure and posed... though inside she wanted to knee the paparazzi right in the gnads, but it wasn't worth it.
The teen raised her eyebrows slightly at the bouncer as she approached him, and he paused to look at her for a moment, "You are looking buff Jim, new workout reigeme?" She laughed, a mock coyness on her face as she tapped his 'roided out chest. The compulsive flirt that was Riley batted her eyelashes as she slipped a note into his top pocket, a faint flicker of a smile passing over Jims lips before he unhooked the black velvet rope separator, letting the duo enter the club.
Oh she knew who owned it alright, but they had her number too.
The death metal thumped, pulsing vibrations through her lithe frame as they entered, Riley instinctively making a sharp bee line for the bar "Tequila! Lots and lots of tequila, and whatever shes having" The brunette instructed, passing the bewildered bar staff her credit card.
