Marie sighed as she leaned back against her pillow, absently tracing her fingers around her belly. She had never expected this- to be only 22 and pregnant and not married? True, she was engaged... but her Grandmother was probably rolling in her grave right about now. And she did love Adele... she just wished that it had been later. She hated bringing her daughter into a world that was practically ruled by a crazy, ancient Egyptian warlord.
She shifted her weight around, trying to get comfortable. She still had a month and a half of this to go. Great, just great. Because it wasn't as if she had enough trouble getting comfortable or moving around and she wasn't running to the bathroom enough because her bladder was squished... it was going to get even worse as Adele got bigger.
She sighed again, resting her hand on her stomach as Adele moved around. She rolled onto her side and faced the window, once again trying to get comfortable. She really wasn't looking forward to the next month and a half. Not at all.

There then came a knock upon her door, before the head of unborn baby Adele's father popped in, a delighted smile on his face. Sure he had been worried about the whole baby thing at first, but as the months went by and things started to come together, he just started to get excited. "Heya Poppet!" he smiled again before seeing himself into her room. "Daddies here, and he's brought bagels and mineral water. I did a little bit of googling on what's best to eat during pregnancy, most people seem to agree chicken and salad is good....so I got that." He may have some bacon in his bagel, but he didn't want her eating too much meat! A bad diet could cause issues during labour.
The young Mr. Warlock took a seat on the bed next to Marie, placing the foot on the night desk next it, before resting a hand on her knee. "Hey, how ye feeling today?"

Marie grinned and rolled over to face Adam as he walked in. She was so lucky to have him- there weren't a lot of men out there who could handle an unplanned pregnancy like he did. And being worried at first was a huge understatement. She had been more than worried; she had been terrified. Still was, to be truthful- she was terrified that she wouldn't be able to protect her baby or that she wouldn't be a good mother.
She sat up with a bit of difficulty, then nodded. "Food sounds great, actually." she replied, then slid around once Adam sat down to snuggle against him.
"And I'm okay, just a bit uncomfortable. She's just getting kinda squished, that's all." she continued, rubbing her stomach.

When Marie started snuggling against Adam, he turned to smile, before placing a quick loving kiss on her forehead. "Okay, let me get you something." he replied, reaching for the bag and a moment later pulling one of the sandwiches he had picked up. Taking a moment to remove the wrapping, the boy from Georgia did his best to be as helpful as possible to his lady.
"Poor thing, getting all squished." joked the Battlemage as he took out his own sandwich, worrying if her super pregnant nose would pick up the bacon in his one. He was trying to go for that "I'll join you in this and give up what you can't have" but it was hard!

"Merci." Marie responded, taking the sandwich and then taking a bite from it. It was really good, all it needed was peanut butter!
And yes, she was entirely aware of how weird her cravings were, even though wanting peanut butter was actually rather tame compared to some of the other things that she had been craving in her pregnancy. Namely, all those smoothies in assorted flavors that had made some of the other Hellions gag when she had told them what it was.
She smiled and put her sandwich down, then took Adam's hand and placed it on her stomach where Adele was kicking. "See? She knows her père is here.” She continued with a grin that slipped off her face a moment later. “Ouch.” She muttered, rubbing her stomach. She really hated these Braxton-Hicks contractions! They were supposed to go away once she moved around a bit- that's what her doctor had said, at least.
