Lera is a rather petite girl.Being half Japanese and half Russian she takes more of her mother's looks then anything. Always wearing blue and black clothing. She has a scare on her right cheek from a practice sword fight with her brother. She tends to always wear a beanie letting her long dark hair drape over her shoulders. Her uniform consists of a yellow and blue dress that contains many different pockets where she can store weapons like guns and grenades.

Skills: Lera is a very tough girl. Lera was taught to use handguns when she was young. Along with her other girls she shows her girly side by loving to decorate a room and food. She loves cooking any kind of food,l for cooking she loves to make different kinds of dishes to help make something unique. She also loves to dance and show off her body.

Personality: Lera is a very unique person. She loves her friends deeply and would do anything for them. Around friends she is rather happy and content. With people she doesn't like she will give them a chance but won't trust them fully. When in a battle Lera goes straight for the kill and attacks with power and strength. She just doesn't rely on her mutation to help her in battle. She also relies on skills and intelligence. When fighting someone she tends to have a quick temper due to her Russian blood in her. During a battle Lera tends to be a quick thinker, she strives to attack the enemy head on and get the job done quickly and quietly without being seen. When not in battle, Lera loves to be able to help anyone she can.

Mutant Abilities:
Energy Manipulation: Can absorb electric,nuclear thermal and kinetic energy and is able to project it back at an enemy. With energy such as nuclear energy she is able to make a shield around her. If she is attacked while in this shield, a spark of radiation will latch onto the enemy.

Weaknesses: Lera has a fear of thunder, which is strange for her powers. With this fear she tends to scream loudly allowing the power conduits and other light and energy sources to over flow with power, causing them to explode.

Energy Manipulation: Lera needs any kind of energy source weather it be an outlet, a light bulb or the sun for her powers to work. She soaks in the energy and uses it to her ability. Without this source she can't project any light at all.

History: Lera Sakura Borshevsky was born to Mikhail and Aoi Borshevsky in Moscow Russia. During childhood, she learned of many different types of weapons,but besides weapon training, she would play around with her older brother a lot. With her father being an agent in Interpol, she moved often for the threat on her family. Being the youngest in her family, her parents thought it best to keep her hidden from enemies.

During the ages of eight and fourteen, Aoi thought it best to teach her daughter how to dance and be a young lady. It was during those times that little Lera learned what it was like to be a girl. During her time growing up and laughing as a little girl, her brother taught her how to use guns, excelling in them, her favorite being a a colt .45. Lera practiced everyday to become the first female expert marksmen at the age of 19. Around 10 years old Lera met her first friend named Friza Bolchevik, he and Lera were the best of friends, until his father, who was a rival of Lera's father separated them. This came as a shock to young Lera, it also caused her not getting too close to people. During her heartbreak of loosing her best friend, Lera would learn to start cooking food. To drown her heart ache in making stuff for her family. She made stuff such as cake and other kinds of food. She found this to be her favorite past time it would allow her to be artistic. It was during the time of her twelfth year to learn different dances. It shocked her family to see how magnificent of a dancer their little girl was. It was then that Lera's father decided he didn't want his little girl in a world of darkness anymore. He enrolled her in Miss Grace's Ballet Academy for Girls. Lera loved the academy, this gave her the chance to be around other girls and laugh and be who she was.

It was at her fourteen birthday party, that a horrible incident had occurred. It was then that when celebrating her birthday with friends and family that when she went to blow the candles out on her cake, that power had gone out. Lera having one fear was that she was afraid of the dark. Curling up in the corner, shuddering to herself the house flickered with lights as Lera shuddered, holding her head as the thundered boomed loudly. As Lera screamed and cried as the bulbs in the house exploded with too much energy. It was then her father decided that she was to stay home in hiding. For the next year, her family believed it best to keep her in the house away from the public eye. While in the home, Lera would cook and do the cleaning while her mother would teach her education to keep her intelligence up.

It was a year later that Emma Frost came seeking Lera. Telling her parents that Lera had an extraordinary ability and that she had a place where she could help Lera control her abilities. Her parents agreed to let their daughter go to America to become someone that would be able to control her abilities. Before departing Russia, her father gave his daughter his most prized Desert Eagles, hugging her father goodbye, Lera walked off with the woman. While living in Boston, Lera learned to speak English properly and with the help of Emma Frost, Lera became efficient in controlling her powers. She still harbored her fear of thunder or any loud noises. While growing up in Boston, Lera went to many different dance schools to learn more dances such as the cha-cha, the fox trot, tango, the salsa, and other dances. She also learned how to cook better. While at the academy, she cooked for everyone as not a lot of the other students, were fond of cooking. While there at the academy, Lera stuck to herself. Not fond of opening up to others. Though once in awhile she would flirt with the boys to sometimes stir up trouble with the other girls.



RP Sample: Her long beautiful brown hair swaying to and fro as she traveled down the streets of Boston. Her eyes searching around the people. Lera Borshevsky smirked as she looked at people around.Fools...they know nothing of their pitiful lives. Walking around Boston, Lera entered one of her favorite weapon shops standing against the counter, "Old man, I need my usual." The elderly man went back to the stock room bringing out 20 boxes of bullets for her desert eagles, a colt .45 and her Man Licker stock shotgun. Throwing some money on the counter, Lera smirked at a couple of old man that looked at her with their mouths open wide. Walking out of the store she smirked at the man behind the counter "See you in a few weeks old man. Dasvidaniya"

Okay, first I want to mention the skills, first of all she has too much combat training, ("many" different close combat styles, and a "master" of karate in particular, and any kind of weapon), especially as she's only 18 years old, we in fact have a rule concerning customs and this much combat training.

Down to her powers, being able to absorb any kind of energy isn't going to work, it just makes her too immune to damage on a site where most people project some form of energy.

Her personality could be fleshed out, most of it is just about how she acts in battle, how is she with her friends? how does she treat people she doesn't like? Does she have a temper? etc etc

Onto her history, most of her early history is just the different points that she started learning to use weapons and combat, this will need to be addressed, not just because you need to change your skills, but also it covers very little about her early life, bar the weapon training. I'm sure there was more to her life then that. Her history in general seems to jump from a few points, and there's a lot of empty holes, I'd like to see it fleshed out.

There hasn't been any significant improvements made to the issues that Mags posted.

Can absorb certain kinds of light or energy source, and is able to project it back at an enemy. The most common are street lights and nuclear energy.

You still have her listed as a light manipulator, but here it says she is able to absorb energy and redirect it, which would make her energy manipulator and that is not a power you have listed. Also, lightning has nothing to do with light, it's electricity. And what are the 'certain kinds' of light she is able to absorb.

Her personality could be a little more fleshed out. Why doesn't she want to let anybody in? Also, I doubt that she was able to become an expert marksman by the age of 13. Not even characters like Elektra and Bullseye accomplished that feat at such a young age.

Look back over Mags' post and try to address those issues again.

This hasn't really been addressing, its still almost totally devoted to what she's like during a fight.

The history could still be given more attention to aspects that aren't related to her combat training.

Having a disability with her eyes, as one is brown the other hazel.

Heterochromia isn't a disability.

In her powers, I want to know all the forms of energy she can absorb, as opposed to "different kinds" but "most commonly nuclear."

Her personality is a bit clichéd, keeps to herself in case she gets hurt, quiet but better around friends (once she makes them with the whole reserved thing), with a touch of being snippity. Especially after going through Dance Academy, people who are quiet, reserved and ignore people generally don't perform well on anything that puts you in such a spotlight, a dance academy itself would open her up, teach her comradeship, especially since it was just one lost friend that had her closed, I don't understand why it had such a massive influence on her personality.
