Quicksilver walked painfully slowly through the streets on New York. This wasn't a sightseeing trip however, he hadn't been on planet for a long time and he wanted to see what was happening down here. Granted he could've picked up television feeds and internet sources for Asteroid M but Genosha was it's own country..albiet an asteroid country and as such had it's own news media and what not. It made news from Earth harder to siphon off so he'd hitched a ride with one of the teleporters just to come down and he had about two hours before he had to rondezvous. In any case...Pietro missed the feeling of real gravity, it never quite seemed the same on the Asteroid, it would also alow him to see what was happening in the war.
He walked past a television store but the picture he recognised out of the corner of his eye. The sound he couldn't hear but the picture...woah, it was the rubble after the large explosion at Xaviers. Someone had certaintly played hardball with them, in a way the Brotherhood never had. THis wasn't just business like it had been when Magneto's group had been threat number one. It was definetly personal. He stood, gawping at the screen as he said "Oh...my....God

" That voice could only belong to one person, the cynical siren, Lilija Eiriksson. Better known as Corpse to her fellow Brotherhood, and the few individuals who even knew she existed. Of the entire group, Lilija had to be top contender for most reserved and unseen. And to be honest, she liked it like that. It made things... simple, unlike what was appearing on the television screen. Or unlike how Lilija got here from Asteroid M. " You don't actually feel sorry for them, do you?," she asked, moving closer to the television screen. Studying the horrific images for a moment, she resumed speaking. " If so, maybe you should help them clean up."[/ul]

Hearing a surprising voice behind him made QUicksilver jump a little in shock, luckily for him though when he was made to jump it happened so quickly and suddenly that it could be said to have never happened at all. He turned to face his fellow Brotherhood member, it was Lilija...one of the more mysterious members of the Brotherhood. He found her rather interesting and a little unsettling at the same time but in all honnesty there were many members of the Brotherhood that made Pietro feel uneasy, apparently it attracted a certain type of person.
She didn't seem to have much in the way for sympathy for the inhabitants of the Xavier school. A shame really, that she had so little regard for other mutants "They're us...more or less, they might be naive and extremely infuriating but they are still mutants and whilst we reguarly come in to conflict...they didn't deserve this."

"The mansion is empty, utterly deserted." Exodus informed as he approached the two, he had his own reasons for being planet side, and he got down to Earth very easily, being able to teleport as he could. He was adorned, of course, in his human clothes. The same exquisite suits he had adorned himself in whenever he had been operating away from Genosha or as it were these days, Asteroid M. To be precise, it was a black suit, thin grey pinstripes. His skin however, was not hidden at all. He didn't mask his skin colour anymore, it earned grief on occasion, but he was more then capable of defending himself.
"While Brother Quicksilver is right, we don't need to worry ourselves, they're most safe at Emma Frost's Academy." Exodus kept certain mental tabs, telepathic projects that had started back in the days of Genosha were still in operation.

more if we left them alone. Maybe now they won't sabotage Magneto's plans, something they've always done before. If we help them, we're just shooting ourselves in the foot.," she said, taking one more glance at the television screen. " I, for one, do not like inflicting injuries upon myself. If you were seeing the bigger picture, you'd see this whole situation works for us. We help them, we only encourage them." Of course, by lending aid it could sway some to the Brotherhood's side, but knowing the bulk of the X-Men and their rookies, they were all wanting to stick it out for Xavier's dream or some B.S. they couldn't readily explain... speaking of being unable to readily explain, Lilija was at a temporary loss for words at the arrival of good ol' Big Red; Exodus, his name was. Of all the Brotherhood members, Exodus ranked in Corpse's top three least known affiliates. In fact, if asked, she could only remember the reddish flesh and mind powers. Anything else, well... " Safe... safe to strike back at us, no doubt. I say we distance ourselves from them, let them learn the hard way what idiotic ideals they follow. Peace cannot be achieved, to do so we'd all need to think the same, yet we can all see how that is going... there's no unity, it just doesn't exist." Pessimistic, yes. Logical, also yes. Experienced, no, and that would explain a great deal.[/ul]

Pietro listened to Lilija, he supposed she was right, they had been enemies for so long that it was a bad idea to attempt to help them, in fact it would probably hurt the Brotherhood in the long run as it would not be long until the X-men continued to be a thorn in the side of Magneto's Brotherhood. "I suppose Corpse you are correct" he turned slightly to look at the woman "After all, where were they whilst Genosha burnt? it is a surprise though. They always seemed a little untouchable"
It was just then that Exodus arrived with the news that the children at Xavier's were safe at the Hellion Academy he found himself more relieved then he would've wanted to be, it seemed he was more caring then a child of Magneto ought to be. "They go their way and we go ours. The world goes on...so, what brings you two to the surface?"

"Corpse, so.....unimaginative, not like you. In desperation and in danger we have all the more chance and ability to bring our lost children of the Atom home. As we brought Rogue into our loving embrace." When the X-men were down, it was not a time to kick them! It was a time to help them to their feet, remind them that they are all part of a larger family, with more dangerous and deserved foes out side their walls....humans and Apocalypse, for instance.
"My business planetside is, as always, above your clearance level Quicksilver." One of Magneto's eternal signs of affection towards Quicksilver, don't let him in on or trust him with, anything important to Magneto's ultimately grand schemes. Now, when he needed someone with a "feminine" ability like running quickly, he'd call Quicksilver, or for a simple Brotherhood assault or otherwise simple task, the boy could be trusted, but the more serious tasks required people of a complicated sort.

Pietro had the feeling this could turn in to a slight debate here, it always seemed to. For some reason though debate such as this were never truly resolved as either viewpoint would ever switch...so they were doomed to eternally try to prove each other's viewpoint wrong over and over again....unless of course one got bored and wandered off.
What surprised him was that Exodus couldn't tell him why he was on planet, and why? because it was above his clearance! above his clearance? he was the son of Magneto! he'd looked after the affairs of Genosha faithfully for years...no the red telepath must be playing games with him. "Heh, Exodus you must be mistaken...I know you've got a lot to remember, but I'm Pietro Leshnerr...things above my clearence do not appear often.

," she said, arms tempted to cross but instead remained at her side. " The enemy is too close that way... even if we are united against one thing, the X-Men, still, are the opposition once this is all over." That said, Quicksilver had already leaped in. Something about having clearance and such, he being Magneto's son and whatnot. Hm, interesting, Corpse had yet to see Pietro actually exercise any sort of authority. Maybe coming to New York would have it's perk, even if it was a light scolding - it was something to Lilija.[/ul]
