I'm suprised this isn't up already.
Who is your favorite Super-Hero? They can be from ANYWHERE, meaning Marvel, DC to even the ridiculous Hana-Barbera heroes.
Now, remember, this isn't comparing Super-Heroes and saying who is better, as the outcomes of fights are completely determined by the author; as seen in the various "vs Marvel Universe" comics.
I've got two who are quite closely tied.
1 - Daredevil
Everything about him just makes me think he is awesome. He is a walking contradiction. He's a lawyer who pursues justice in the courtroom, but at night he puts himself above the law and takes on criminals. He's a frequent church goer, yet he dresses up as a devil. He's a blind man, but he can in fact percieve much more precisely than the normal human.
As far as the character goes, Matt Murdock is a beautiful creation. He is pretty much a man whose life has been ridden with tragedies; such as the deaths of two woman he has loved, both killed by the same bastard villain known as Bullseye. Yet, he holds himself so perfectly together mentally that it is almost scary; yet when he does lose it (and he does, a number of times) he really loses it and beats the holy hell out of criminals.
I thought how he got his powers was a little cliche, the whole radioactive waste thing, but I'm not dissing the powers. Marvel goes into great details on just how truly adept his four senses are. Really interesting stuff.
2 - Ms. Marvel
As you probably predicted, she is the other favourite I have. Alright, I never really got into Female Super-Heroes (I dislike calling them heroines), but when I first encountered Ms. Marvel; I was curious. I actually hadn't heard of her until I played Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, and I was like "Who the hell is that?" Then I went and read up on her on the database, I decided I might go purchase a comic of hers. Now I'm hooked.
I love her character, Carol Danvers. She's a bit of a drama queen, and I love it. The way she makes sarcastic remarks, but still holds that bad-ass seriousness is so appealing and gets me hooked on her story. Plus, she has got to be one of the most talkative characters out there. Like, you know how you get the speech boxes that show you what they are thinking? Every single page is ridden with SO many, and I love it. She's also not a typical feminist cliche, which also helps.
