The title says it all, a sport designed by mutants, for mutants. This will more then likely make an appearance in Genosha, and once it rises in popularity, other places too.
I want to see what you folks can come up with, keeping in mind it has to allow for the near infinite abilities mutants can have, but also avoid making having a team with individuals with certain abilities able to win on an almost automatic level (eg, teleporters grabbing a ball and bringing it to a scoring zone).
So what do you have?

This is an interesting topic so I'll take a crack at it and hopefully I won't be shot down too bad.
Lets start simple. Two teams of equal number. The object of the game will be to grab a ball and bring it into a "score zone". Sounds easy, right? Well, lets make it a bit more interesting. Only one person on the team can touch the ball. If anyone besides that person touches the ball its considered a 'foul' and that team forfeits. However, so long as this person has the ball they cannot attack or defend themselves (because we can't have a 'defense' becoming an 'attack' on another) only avoid.
Others will defend the ball carrier with powers with all powers being free game. The ball carrier can leave his defenders, but I'd advise against it considering they'll soon become defenseless. Why? Read on...
Q: What about teleporters?
Hmm...well, lets see. How about to make that fair once one comes within a certain range of the score zone they have to stay grounded? We can call this the 'dead zone' because I'm pulling this all out of no where. This disables teleporting and flying to getting to that area.
Q: Fast Ball Special?
No, a stronger person can't just hurl the person into the scoring zone. That person has to make it on his/her own while grounded.
Q: But what about the powers that affect weather and earth?
'Area effects' cannot be used to score. The ball has to be "put" in the score zone by the specific person. So wind or ground controllers don't get an edge on the score board. If the ball does happen to 'roll' or 'fall' into the score zone because of surrounding conflict the game is "reset" and the ball is set back at the halfway point before continuing the game (note: no points are lost).
Q: What about speedsters abusing the 'grounded' rule?
Hmm....There can be a 'defender' before the score area and limited to the 'dead zone'. He has to be 'taken down' before a point can be scored. By taken down I mean his/her body has to hit the ground (basically like a 'tackle' in football).
Now I'm thinking that where ever this would be played would have plenty of terrain to pass through. The field is divided into three areas: Grasslands (since I have the dead zone), Dead Zone, and Score Area. The area is divided by a halfway point; this is were one team's territory ends and the other begins.
I think the point of the game is to score the most points within a certain time limit or to make it to a certain number. I don't think any other rules besides the ones covered are needed. While it is a game this would be an all out battle between teams to build up experience and teamwork.
Titles/Positions - (yea, I'm winging it. they're all named after cats because I can't think of anything else, yet I want a theme)
Cat (2-4) - Cats are free to roam through the entire field attacking and defending as they please. The Panther is hidden among them.
Tiger (1/2) - Tigers are confined to their side of the field (both grasslands and dead zone) to the halfway point of the area.
Lion (1 only) - Lions are restrained to the dead zone and can only attack and defend in said area. They're the last line of defense before the score zone.
Panther (1 only) - The only person on the team that can touch the ball and carry it to the score zone. They can pass through all areas. Can't attack while they have the ball, but they can drop the ball to defend themselves.
Recap: I think I covered all areas. What do you guys and gals think? Feel free to add your own opinions or ideas in.
Add On: The idea of obsticals was brought to my attention by Bobbi. Something like random weapons attacking to keep the players' guard up. I assume the addition of such would make the game more challenging if the players have access to it. So I don't see a reason why not.
