Maya loved to get away from the mansion when it was the weekends. A city like Boston was just amazing to be in. She would always be a New York City girl, but this city had a different feel to it. Not to mention that the people accentuated their "ar" sounds. It was hard for her not to start speaking like them after watching their mouths move that way.
The 19 year old did have her liscense, but no car. It was annoying to have to rely on the bus services, but it wasn't dreadfull. Maya-wearing her favorite green tee shirt and jeans- hopped off the number 4 bus to up town Boston. It was a chilly, but sunny day out and there were many people around. Maya put a pair of ear buds into her ears, however it wasn't hooked up to anything. It prevented people from asking her for directions or any other communitcation. Even though she could read their lips, it was easier to pretend she couldn't hear them, only temporarily.

The weekend, the time when children, teens, and even adults took a break from school or work to enjoy the time to themselves. However, to Dom it was just another couple of days in the week. Just another day made up of seconds, minutes, and hours like all the others. Which would eventually lead into more days, that would create weeks that would go into months until years passed. The weekend had lost its flair long ago because of the unique sense of time Dom had gained along with his powers.
Thus, he tried to find other ways to lessen his boredom. Which is how he ended up in Boston currently trading blows with some hotshot in a boxing place he found in only his jeans. A jab that caught him in the face sending him stumbling back. He was letting his mind wander too much. The guy advanced on him only to be met with a vicious right hook that dropped him. When the guy didn't get up Dom slipped out of the ring and shrugged his white t-shirt and sleeveless red jacket on while grabbing his hat.
"One more fight? Winner take all..." The guy that spoke was the manager, a short man with a gut and a receding hair line. He had bet Dom wouldn't last a round with one of his regulars after seeing him giving tips to a few others. Now the bastard looked like he didn't want to pay up after knocking out five of his regulars. Dom just walked out, ignoring him completely. Not like he really needed the money right now.
He walked out and practically blind sided a girl. What was with him? Ever since he got to Boston he kept running into girls. This kind of thing never happened down south. He moved to catch her and set her back on her feet, making sure she had her balance before he let go.
"Ah'm sorry 'bout tha' Cher," Well that was just great. With his annoyance from the fight and his embarrassment of running into her the southern accent that he was normally able to keep in check had made its way back into his speech. "Ya okay?" he asked nervously. He hoped he didn't cause any harm. Last thing he needed right now was getting hit by some random girl because of a mistake. At least give him a chance to flirt with her before she hit him and stormed off.

Maya wasn't braced for the man that nearly blind sided her. She was too busy looking at the movie poster for Zombieland. It looked like a good movie, possibly something she'd enjoy. Blood, jokes and the undead always had a special place in her heart. Echo fell flat on her ass and looked up at the bonde guy who did it.
At least he wasnt' rude, she thought, while he helped her up and set her back on her feet. Maya didn't like to fall, it was disorientating and somewhat a bad quality in a dancer. She adjusted her purse and picked her earbuds off the ground where they had fallen. It wasn't every day she got knocked into, so she didn't know what to say. If this guy would have been a jerk, she would have sworn him off or even punched him.
Once Maya got a good look at the guy, she couldn't help but watch his mouh move in a slightly different way then the other people did. He was from the south, she could just imagine the southern twang and inflection he used. The girl smiled at him and ruffled her long hair while she nervously looked around at the other pedestrians that might have seen their collision.
'N'ah, 's fine." she said, knowing that she'd copied his accent. Maya bit the top of her lip and forced herself to speak the way she normally did. This power of copying motions was a lot more complicated than it sounded. "I'm fine, thank you for helping me up."

The girl ended up falling down despite his effort to catch her. It had just happened so suddenly and with his mind so occupied he didn't react fast enough. Different colored eyes tried to find any damage he might have caused unintentionally while he set her back in her feet.
He wondered for a moment if she had heard his apology as she didn't say anything. She had just given him a look that he really couldn't decipher before picking up a something that she dropped because of their collision. Earbuds? No wonder he had run into her. Seems they both weren't paying that much attention. Finally, she looked back at him and smiled. He couldn't help but smile back. No hard feelings it seemed.
He was surprised when she spoke. The noticable Cajun accent exactly like he own stood out rather easily. It was easy to hear it in her voice. Was she traveling from the south too? However, as she continued to speak it disappeared as if it had never been there. He visibly relax when she accepted his apology, but her momentary accent still held his curiousity.
"It just wouldn't be proper not to apologize to a beauty like you." He answered then took one of her hands gently and kissed it lightly after he spoke.

Maya wasn't sure she saw what he said correctly. It wouldn't be the first time she mistook a few syllables for other. Being deaf was horrible when it came to meeting new people. Maya blushed at the very nice, bold compliment.
"Oh" she look down at her feet then back up to the muscular man. He looked like he'd just been in a fight- or five. Maya extended her hand to him as he kissed it. That was pretty rare in a guy, but then again he could have been raised that way.

Dom let go of her hand and noticed the blush that had spread over her face. He smiled and adjusted his cap slightly to keep the sun from shining directly into his eyes. Better than receiving a slap to the face, but he wondered he making her uncomfortable. Some women didn’t take attention too well. Dom made a note to be careful not to overdo it.
Dom caught sight of what the woman next to him must have been looking at. Some movie that was coming out soon. He didn't watch television much so he didn't know what it was about, but with the name "Zombieland" he could safely assume what it might be about.
He looked back at the girl and nodded in the poster's direction. "Looks like it might be worth the money, eh?" Then he realized that he had yet to introduce himself. "Oh, I'm Dom. Mind if I ask your name?"

Maya blinked as she looked to the poster behind the blonde guy. Oh right, thats what she was looking at when she was knocked on her ass. However going to the movies were something that was relaxing to her, Maya had to read and missed some of the fart jokes. Thats why she loved foreign movies and subtitles.
"Yeah, looks funny as anything." Maya grinned while looking at him. She shifted her weight from his left hip to her right and let her hand that he just kissed hang on her bag.
"I'm Maya." she said with a bright smile, "So Dom, do you always run into girls? Maya replied while regaining a bit of her composure.

Dom nodded at her comment on the movie. He might have to see it. Then if it wasn't worth his money, well, he'd just take his money back. After all, they'd never know unless he wanted them to.
Dom noticed that Maya was becoming much more talkative. She had probably just been thrown off by the abrupt meeting between the two of them. Not every day a random person knocked you down...unless that sort of thing was common here. Down south Dom had never had a problem with running into people. What about Boston made him a hazard? He'd have to be careful from now on, he didn't want to hurt anyone.
"Only in Boston, so far. I'm still trying to figure out if its a bad thing or a good thing." On the good side, so far he had run into some real beauties like the one he was talking to. However, on the bad side, well...he literally 'ran' into them. Dom would have preferred if he had simply met them without the collision part.

"Well Boston is a crowded city. You should see NYC if you really want to run into people.", she joked, "However, they might not be as friendly."
Usually her balance kept her on her feet for the most part, she guessed that her lack of attention threw something off. Maya made a mental note to pay more attention when she was standing on the sidewalks. The raven haired girl thought about what he was saying. Walking into people could be a good thing if they were celebrities, walking into bums would be bad if they wanted money.
"Hopefully I didn't put you off walking around the city." she said.

Dom chuckled at her joke. At least, he hoped it was a joke. If it wasn't, he'd have to avoid The Big Apple until he was more careful. It wouldn't be good to run into the wrong crowd. So far he had been lucky people had forgiven him for his collisions. Some were a bit more harsh than nesseccary, but he just smiled while they vented until they left. However, he did seem to run into women more often than not.
His chuckle subsided then smiled at her next comment. "Nah, I'd like to see New York sometime." Then he added as an after thought, "Though it would be a good idea to watch where I'm going."

"You should, its an experience." she smiled, "Were you just in a fight? Maya tended to speak whatever was on her mind. Even though she didn't have the ability to listen to herself, she knew that it was a curse and a gift. People liked honesty, not the random thoughts that ran into her head.
Maya hoped that he was in a fight, that way she could offer to beat the others up. It had been awhile since she had some honest to God fighting. She almost missed hitting someone.

Dom almost started at her question, but just blinked at her instead. Was it that obvious? Did he stink or something? The fights he'd been in not even a few minuties ago hadn't been that much of a challenge so he didn't think he had worked up that much of a sweat. Certainly not enough to give him a offensive smell. Maybe that jab left a mark? It had caught him by surprise while he was zoning out.
"Actually, yea...how'd ya know?" She couldn't have seen him come out of the boxing place. They would have never collided if she did. "Ah don't smell do Ah?" He almost sighed, there was his accent making its way into his speech again.

Echo knew the marks that one punch would give. Call it her trained eye or whatever, Maya knew her hits seeing as she had many bruises from the training room and sparring with her classmates. Right now she had a giant bruise on her left thigh, however she wasn't going to display that to a stranger on the street.
"I can tell by your face. Its swelling a bit." she pointed out with a gentle smile. She laughed when he asked if he was smelly. "No you don't stink. I just have an eye for that kinda stuff. she explained, hoping it didn't sound that twisted. Knowing her luck, Maya would be labeled as an abuse victim or a girl with a weird obsession with fighting.

The girl had a good eye if she could spot out his face swelling. Dom knew it couldn't have been that noticable. He'd have felt the swelling if it had been bad, she just had a really trained eye. One didn't have an eye for that kind of stuff without training. Was this young lady hoping to become a doctor or a detective? Professions like that required a sharp eye and deductive reasoning. Or maybe harmless looking form of hers hid a fighter? It wouldn't really surprise him, she did hold a fluid grace about her.
"Quite an eye you have there," he said, touching his face where he had been hit. "You have experience in fighting?" He asked while bringing his hand back down.

"Erm... yeah I have some experience." she admitted, partly the truth. Echo was a great martial artist, boxer and could still learn a lot more. She was multi talented. But she wasnt' going to admit to being a girl fight club member. She didn't search out a fight, they usually found her.
"Did you win?'' she asked, with a small smile.
