~Hmm, I wonder if other superheroes have another job besides kicking butt. If they do it’s probably waaay better than mine. Dios I hate this place, but at least I get free food.~ These thoughts and more ran through the head of young Anya Corazon or Araña as the outside knew her by. Standing behind the cash register wearing a big taco hat and looking oh so bored, Anya gazed out into the distance waiting for the next customer in El Rey Taco. Her father told her that he wasn’t always going to be supplying her with money so she had to get a job of her own if she wanted cash. So far she had been working at the taco shop for about six months. At least the work was relatively easy, but the customers could be real assholes sometimes.
Finally a costumer approached the counter; Anya just stared at him as he looked over the menu above her head. ”Welcome to El Rey Taco, the home of the best tacos,” she regurgitated the words dryly with a blank expression. Then she sighed. ”Can I interest you in our Bolsa Gigante Especiales today?” Anya shifted her weight to her right side and adjusted her hat as she stared at the blonde man.

It had been almost two years since Calvin had managed to come back to El Rey's Taco Shop. A New Yorker by birth he had been raised to enjoy the shops and restraunts that really only the locals where aware of. The main reason for that was tourists seemed to infect every great place to eat until it was overcrowded, overpriced and nothing like how it originally started.
He walked into El Rey's and saw a younger woman standing behind the counter with red hair. Given that she was working in a taco shop Calvin could easily understand why she was less then thrilled to be there. However such was life and everyone had to start somewhere.
"Uh...no thanks," he said in response to her question. For some reason to him bolsas gigantes sounded like ordering giant balls to him, "Can I get two carne asada burritos and one chicken soft taco please?" he asked. He was ailling to patient since he had always loved the food from this place and to him they'd be worth the wait.

After he gave her his order, she took a few seconds to type it in the cash register then ring up the total. ”Two carne asada burritos and a chicken soft taco. Your total is $8.50.” As she waited for the customer to give her the money, she stared blankly around the joint at all the people. They looked so... bored and lame. Something needed to pop off to liven up the place or she was going to fall asleep at the register, which would probably get her fired. She’d done it before and her manager scowled her for it.
And what do you know; entertainment was on its way. A tall man wearing a dark overcoat and hat waltzed right up to the register pass all the other customers waiting in line. Anya glared at him as he pushed the blonde guy aside. ”Uh sir, you have to wait in line just like everyone else.”
“I don’t have to do a damn thing. Now shut up and get to filling.”
The man tossed a bag at her face. She was about to start yelling at him, but he pulled out a gun and pointed it right at her. Dammit, who in their right mind would want to rob a taco shop? Anya contemplated taking this guy down, but she didn’t want people to find out her true nature. ”You’re an asshole,” she said as she opened the cash register. The moment he left this place she was going to track him down and kick his ass.
