Adam was out in the yard, practising those killer moves he had been learning as a New Recruit, one of those Young X-men. With his powers he could be quite dangerous in a fight alright, and with everything that was going down, he had all the more reason to be in top condition, if any sentinels came crashing into the mansion, he'd be ready to give them what's what!
So there he was, with his golden skin and hair, in a pair of shorts and a blue t-shirt, swinging about as he tried to be a Master of Martial arts....like a level eighteen Monk.

Emily was running, pushing her self to her very limit like she did every day, some how it felt better to make sure her muscles felt the abuse. She stopped when she saw Adam in the yard, she hadn't really talked to him that much. Only seen him around a few times to be truthful. But since her social score was down here at the Mansion she thought she'd try going over and saying hello. He seemed like he was practicing, and she loved practicing. "Adam?" She called with a wave over her head. "What are you doing out here?"

Adam nearly slipped on his ass when he heard that new girl calling him, nearly jumped out of his skin with fright he did. She shouldn't sneak up on people like that! "Oh hey! I was just practising some of the moves they've been teaching us, with everything that's been going on, you never know when you'll need to be able to protect yourself." he informed, standing properly now, hands on his hips for a minute. "What's up with you?"

She almost laughed when he nearly slipped. "Practicing, eh?" She wiped her bangs from her face and smirked. "Mind if join you?" Her Irish accent was thick, more so than her brothers- Lin had spent a good portion of his life in New York unlike Emily and her twin Sophia who had lived all but the last few years of their lives in Ireland. "Well?" She tried out a martial arts pose she'd learned in training, then laughed at how stupid she probably looked. "I could really use some practice."

"Sure, come on." he replied, starting into the opening pose again, before twisting his feet and moving his shoulders to start into the first strike. "How far along are you?" he asked, in reference to her training.

"About intermediate." She blushed, she should be better by now. "I sorta spend all my time doing cardiac and muscle work outs instead of practicing martial arts and such." She took the start pose as well. "How far along are you?"
Emily was glad to be able to talk normally with some one for once, she missed being in a relaxed environment.

"Well I've been at it.....about eight months now, so I guess I'm at the high end of the intermediate category." he replied knowing full well that even being a black belt martial artist is really only someone who had learned the basics, and he was by no means a black belt level martial artist.
"But I got a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do from outside here, so I kinda jump between the two." he replied with a smile.

Solaris nod her head in acknowledgment. "Cool." She said going onto the the next stance. "Maybe you could teach me some things."
The Irish girl smiled over at Adam, he was pretty cool she guessed. She really missed companionship- God! She was so lame, starving for friendship in a house full of other people. I really need to get out and talk to people. She thought, mentally beating her self up for being an introvert.

"I shall make you strong in the force, my apprentice!" he joked back in his best Darth Sidious voice, after she said he could teach her a few things. "All jokes aside, its probably best that you ask one of the more experiences guys or gals, they're much better then me." he continued, smiling all the while, good old modest Adam.

When he made his Star Wars comment her face fell. Dear God he was going to be another Lin wasn't he? She couldn't help but miss her older brother- but his nerdiness was something she didn't miss at all. Well maybe a little bit, after all she had caught her self watching an old star trek the other night.
"Maybe your right, but there's nothing like sparing mano y mono. eh?" She smiled broadly. "Then again, I'm pretty competitive."

"You want to spar eh?" he asked before performing an overly dramatic method of getting into a martial arts pose...not unlike what one might expect from the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. "I must warn you, my Kung Fu is strong!" even though technically he didn't know any at all.

Emily nearly laughed at his 'power rangers' style pose. "Okay, well, I'll try not to get my butt kicked. " She smirked, dropping into a ready fight stance.
The blonde girl was pretty sure he would take her out if he already had some martial arts training prior to Xavier's. But then again her parents had been Avengers, and did teach her a few tricks of the trade. Her sister in-law was an Xman too. She smirked feeling a bit more confident. "No powers right?"
