Earlier that day he had spent some time making calls and helping a guy he knew from the good old days get a job in the academy. Old questions answered in the easiest manner. So for him he was laughing as he got out the new leather jacket that he hated buying he threw it over a chair as he headed in for a quick shower. Coming out in a pair of old ratty jeans he picked up his belt and slided it into place. Picking up a badge with an odd serial number he clipped it to his belt. The badge was a simple way of showing people he had the right and license to an concealed weapon. A right he was going to use tonight, cause if anything happened like he expected, he was going to need it. Picking up an old grey Army t-shirt he threw it on over the jeans and tucked it into place. Grabbing the jacket he threw it around his shoulders. Stomping into an old pair of biker boots he made his way down to the main entrance of the school. Pulling his hair back like he did often he smiled as he waved to a few of the instructors he knew.
Arriving at an old smoky bar with more scars on the bar top than wood he just nodded to himself as a band on stage was belting out a rendition of 'Hillbilly Rock'. He leaned up against the building and waited, the last message told him that his buddy was about five minutes out of town, and the GPS mapping gave him directions right to the place. So he stood there and closed his eye's, slowly he tuned out the noise of the music, people, and traffic. What he was left with was a baby crying some where, a dog barking at lord knows who, and the unforgettable roar of the old 68, 428 cubic inch, Police Interceptor engine tearing up the blacktop. A smile was forming on his face slowly as he pulled a smoke out of a pack and placed it in his lips. Removing a small pop gun pistol he lifted it to the end of his smoke and pulled the trigger. A puff of smoke was released as he saw that custom blue '68 roar up to the curb. The smile never left as he watched the guy get out. He almost laughed a bit when first instincts kicked in and both men stood at sharp attention and saluted. "LT. Hunter, welcome home."

Duncan was almost excited about this little venture of his. The only thing that was keeping from running in the opposite direction was the trouble his best friend and former CO went through to get him this job. A teacher, though? Alex had to freaking kidding him. Eagle Eye was the last person that should be allowed near impressionable teens. He wasn't a good role model wether by his personality or what he used to do for his country, the man really had no grounds for telling kids to behave. But he'd adjust and become a somewhat model citizen. At least in the classroom. He just had to think of it as a mission and he'd be good. Outside of that though all bets were off. The man wouldn't change for the military and he wasn't about to start now.
The Shelby finally pulled up to the curb, he told Morgana five he made it in three. Damn he was good. The man got out of his baby and locked her up tight, he was in his jeans, his Army t-shirt, cowboy boots and a black leather trench. Perched on his head was his fedora. When he got to the curb and saw his old CO he snapped to attention and gave a crisp salute. "Major Morgana. So, this is home, huh? Let's see if we survive each other then." He dropped his hand and grinned at his old friend. "Now that all the niceties are done, lets get to drinkin'." Alexander wasn't he only one wearing his permit or his gun. For him though it was because he was in a new environment and didn't know the area that well.

He brought the hand down from his brow, and couldn't help but break into a smile that stretched from ear to ear. Looking back and forth he smiled a bit and nodded his head. "Yeah, lets go show these civies what a few old Grunts can do to a bar tap." He chuckled as he motioned his friend to follow him. He never knew what this bar looked like on the inside, since this was his first visit into the joint, but now that he had he chuckled. It was like someone had a mental image of Duncan's favorite bar and recreated it here in Boston. Grabbing a table away from the bar he kicked out another seat. "Dunk, you are going to love the new barracks man. That headmistress of ours didn't spare any expense, I think we are sleeping on freaking silk man." He looked over and shook his head, he knew Duncan hated standard issue bedding, and this place was more his style when it came to that.
He felt someone moving over towards them, and his eye's got a bit large. The waitress was a smoking hot little number and he wasn't sure if he wanted to laugh or cry. Smacking Dunk on the arm he motioned towards the girl. "One, time I won't get on you if you start flirting like crazy, but I will laugh if you start panting. Just know what you want." When she arrived he chuckled and "I'll take a High Life." He turned to his buddy. "What you looking for Dunk?"

Duncan matched the grin and smacked Alex on the back. "It wasn't the same without you man. Dude, my new CO was twelve, I swear to God." He wasn't sure the kid had even hit puberty yet, couldn't grow facial hair to save his balls. "Definitely going to need a drink. You gonna fill me in this new mission? But seriously, a teacher? Me? What do you want me to do, teach the boys how to get into the girl's pants and teach the girls how to stop them." He thinks about that one for a second. "Wait, can't teach the girls that, don't have any experience there." He chuckled and followed Alex into the bar.
His hat came off as he entered the establishment, thought it probably wasn't going to stay off, one of the other problems they had with him. He liked his damn hat. "You shittin' me? Silk? Now those are my kind of barracks." Blue eyes looked over at his long time friend. "Anyone you got your eye on so I know who to back off from?" It was a standard question he'd been asking Alex for years. Didn't matter how much he might want her, if Alex had his eye on a girl, even if there was nothing going on, Duncan kept his distance. His head turned when he saw the waitress and his eyes quickly scanned her. That half smile touched his lips and winked up at her and then looked over at Alex. "I'll have the same."
Now see most people assume that Duncan was the type to call the girls beautiful, gorgeous, baby and come flirting hot and heavy out of the gate. Not his style. He waits to make sure they are even receptive to the notion before he actually kicks on the charm. Besides he loved the look on their faces when a wink was the most they got from him. Much like the waitress just kind of blinking at him right now.

"Yes, and no. There is a young girl there by the name of Amber. She has a crush on another of the professors, so yeah she is pretty much off limits. There is one that has peeked my interest, but I've only met her one time, and trust me you'll know her when you see her. Long legs, great ass, and a rack a guy could sleep on forever. Throw in the Asian flare and the violet hair and damn. I'm hooked." He chuckled a bit as he looked over at his buddy and back at the waitress. He raised his hand up in front of her face and snapped his fingers to catch her attention. "Two High Life, please." He was used to Duncan's effect on women who couldn't protect themselves. So he just chuckled a bit, and sat there waiting to catch another waiter to get their drinks.
"Yep, silk sheets and just about all the food under the sun free of charge and made to order." He chuckled a bit as he looked over at Dunk. "Just be careful around here man, there are a lot of people who are hopped up on something, and I am not sure how many will go down to a bullet in the head." He leaned back and noticed the waitress trying to keep her composure before making her way over. "Looks like you got to that one already."

Duncan nodded as he spoke, alright two down. "Good luck with your mission. Purple hair?" Leave it to Alex to go for the quirky ones. He glanced up at the girl who was just kind of standing there and sighed. His chair got pushed back and stood up. He leaned over and whispered into the waitresses ear. "Breathe." Then he nipped her earlobe. The girl fell into a fit of giggles, blushed and ran off. He looked back over at Alex and shrugged. "Bartenders male, I'll go get the drinks." He headed over to the bar and then came back with the two beers.
After setting them down he took his seat and pulled out a pack of Salems. He took out his and then tossed the pack to Alex. "I wasn't even trying." Duncan shook his head and looked back at Alex. "I've come across a few like that. The ones that were hopped up on something, didn't much care for them." Of course Duncan had heard of mutants and it wasn't until the news of them spread that he started wondering about his talents. He still didn't know for sure if he was one or not. "I'll ask you this, like I asked you then. Is this job really worth it?" Him a teacher? He was still trying to adjust to that, there was a reason his sorry ass was never in charge.

"Of course it is, consider it a bit of basic all over again. Just this time we are the instructors. We can't go as crazy as ours did, but we can give some back to the next generation of numb nuts." He chuckled a bit as he looked over and winked at him. "Yeah it's worth it, the view around the pool is enough to tempt a Saint to Sin." He remembers turning around and walking away from the pool when it was in use by all the students. He was sure he was going to have to get in there earlier in the morning. He waited until his buddy came back with the beers. When he did he took the bottle and saluted his friend before taking a long pull. "Give me one of those smokes since I doubt this place will let me use my pipe." He used the lighter he always carries and flared it to life puffing away for a few seconds before taking another pull. "So how was it the last few months huh?"

"Can't use that as an example, man. I'm still not sure that job was worth it either. It was just the only one that would take me. At least I missed out on the steroid scandals in baseball." He probably could have gone to the Majors had he played professionally, but his old man wanted him to learn some discipline. Duncan figured he was probably more disciplined now than he ever would have been if he hadn't joined. It was a compromise his father had resigned himself to, at least his son wasn't in prison. "Yeah, but that's because you are the Saint. I'm the Sinner, it's not going to bother me as much. I've seen better, had better, and besides they are teenagers." Underaged girls were not his thing, clingy girls were not his thing, domineering women were not his thing. Had he known any better he'd realize that Alex had just set him up to become a monk.
The man just shook his head. "New CO was so young he couldn't grow hair on his balls let alone his face. He kind of reminded me of that dick from Heartbreak Ridge. The one that was all education and no experience. I swear had Swede still been around that kid would have pissed himself. Would have loved to use him for sniper check." The last came out in a bit of a growl as he took a long pull from his beer.

He smiled as he thought about his friend's prospects here. Yeah, vengeance for all those forms he had to fill out cause of some hot [insert hair color here] and a ditch. His friend was going to be going crazy in a few weeks, but then again he never seemed to have a lack of willing women so he wasn't going to be completely sex starved. Maybe a little and it would be enough for Alex.
The way his friend talked he was glad he got out when he did. "I'll tell you the truth, if it wasn't for the fact that Miss Frost contacted me while I was doing research on the whole hopped up front, I would probably still be there right now. Just couldn't pass up the chance to find out more about these things." He knew he was talking in a really simple code, and if anyone around him was still sober enough to think would be able to figure it out in a few minutes. But then again he was here at about 7 in the evening and there was nothing but young groups of people, who were more interested in which babe they were going home with tonight, then what two old guys were talking about. He ignored the fact that the young groups of ladies were always floating around their table, or shooting glances at their table while dancing. Hearing the name of Swede he sighed a bit and shook his head. That was one assignment he wished he never accepted. "Still can't believe how far off the Intel was off on that one."
There were great days and he had a few since his arrival at Mass Academy, but the day he was thinking about was the kind that made a man angry and want to drink. So he took another long pull off his beer. His first day in command of a unit and he almost got the majority of them killed. "I still owe you for that day."

His brow quirked as he looked over at Alexander. There really weren't any secrets between the two and he knew that Alexander was... different. Actually, when he had contacted Alex about a catching up, they had a long talk about it. Seemed his former CO was convinced he was... different as well and that's how they got onto the subject of the job at hand. He also knew Alex's pension for wanting to get information so that didn't surprise him any. "It was good you got out when you did. It's going to shit and quick." He damn near got in deep shit for refusing a mission until the someone higher up got him off the hook. They knew how he operated and what he would and wouldn't do. Never knew he had friends in such high places. Of course it was one of those situations where the guy hated him as person but respected him as a killer. Oh the joy.
Duncan took another pull from his drink and looked over at him. "I still say it was all an elaborate set up to get me killed. I think I truly was the target the entire time." He reached over and patted Alex's shoulder knowing that it was one of those things that would haunt them both for the rest of their lives. Duncan just shook his head. "You don't owe me anything."

He looked up smiling a bit before chuckling, he couldn't believe he was the one being comforted by this loon. "I remember when someone had a nuclear meltdown when his got a red scratch on the side fender from a grocery cart." He chuckled as he had his Lt. throwing a pissie fit in the middle of the base grocery store's parking lot. The bagger a young teenager was in a tizzy trying to calm the guy down offering to get him a paint job. "I still remember the look on the kid's face when I explained that it was a custom 9000 dollar paint job." He laughed a bit as he took a drink from his beer before realizing it was gone. "I'll get us a couple of refills. pink hair 176 degrees." He got up and walked back to the bartender. Getting two more beers he threw the money on the counter as he looked up, and headed back to the table. "Got us a bit of a tab right now." He sat down and looked at his friend as he slide the beer to him.
"The job is good rather easy work, all you gotta do is explain it to them and answer any questions man. Nothing overly hard, and nothing overly deadly, unless you garner a fan club, then it might be a bit of a problem for you."

"You can't tell me that you wouldn't have been pissed as all hell if Shelby had been yours." He might overreacted just a tad, but damn his car was a classic and that paint job was tight. His head turned as he looked over at the pinked haired woman. Not bad, he slid her a wink and then turned back to his drink finishing it off. Right now he was more interested in catching up with his old friend and learning more about his new life. Maybe later he'd try to pick someone up but right now he's got more important things to do.
"Tabs are good. So, anything good going on with you lately?" He nodded his head as he listened to Alex describe the job. "And they don't pay a damn bit of attention and it's a good thing I like hearing myself talk?" This could be fun after all. He'd get to see if he really could be a hard ass. No he knew he could be. As long as they didn't piss him off then he won't be too hard on them. He started taking mental notes on how long that would last. "Fan club? I doubt I'll get a fan club." At least he hoped not.

"Yeah I would have killed the kid, it wasn't the fact that you over reacted it was the fact you under reacted that got me." His eye's glanced around the room, and he chuckled a bit. "You know some of these kids don't look too happy that all their girls are staring at you. Please tell me you got better at hand to hand?" He didn't think a bar room brawl was going to start up out of no where, but he wanted to be ready in case one did come about, plus he wanted to know if he had any backup in a fist fight. Those girls would not stop staring at Duncan, and what actually made him a little uncomfortable was some of them were staring at him. "Great, what is this jump the former soldiers night?" he sighed softly as he turned back to his beer.
"If there is a problem my piece is at my back. Don't worry you'll have a fan club, I"m sure of it. Just smile at the girls in your class like you usually do and you'll have a huge fan club." he sighed as he kept glancing his eye's left and right. "Is it just me or do those boy's look a little miffed right about now?"

"Well he did offer to fix it. Though he wouldn't have been able to afford it." He shrugged and took another pull from his drink. He was well aware that the girls were looking at him and at Alex too. He was also well aware that the young studs were getting pissed. His trademark smirk was on his face as he puts the bottle to his lips. "Nope, can't say that I have. But here are some stools and bottles around here, we should be good." It really wasn't his intention to get into a fight, but if the guys are going to insist on it, well, he'd just get him and Alex out of there while they were beating each other. "Isn't it every night?" At least it seemed like most the times, even when he wasn't up for it. Rare though that was, it does happen.
"I've got mine too. I seriously doubt the kids a snobby prep academy are going to pay attention to a podunk pretty boy. I might say I'm from Charlotte, but you know it was on the outskirts." The thought of a group of teenage girls starting a fan club was a littel disturbing. He didn't pay any of the girls dancing and parading around for his and Alex's attention.

He laughed over it for a minute and was testing the waters when it came to the kids. He had a feeling it might end up in something more than the two of them just kicking back and drinking a few. He had the feeling that he might be required to make a few teenage boys realize how far short of bullet proof they were. He looked over at Duncan and shook his head slowly as he thought about days gone by. "Well, I'll be the first to say it. It's nice having you around now. Simplistic fact is it was getting a bit boring here without someone to hang out with."
He chuckled a bit as he thought about his first few weeks here and wondered what it would have been like to know someone previous to his arrival. Either way he just enjoyed the beer as he grabbed a waiter passing by and motioned for two new ones to be brought to them. He was enjoying tonight even with the thought of a teenage boy riot looming overhead.
