"Thats alright. I'm kind of a loner around here to." she smiled, "Most people can deal with the whole mutant aspect about me, but the deaf part just makes them wary. They might not like your accent. These Bostoners tend to think that their form of English is the proper one" Maya said this with a small smile, just to let Heather know she was only kidding. She didn't want to insult her just after proving her weaknesses.
Echo nodded at Lifeguard voiced her opinion about soda. To her it was all the same, sugary syrup that made her win burping contests. The deaf teen caught the soda with her sharp reflexes and popped the top open before she took a small sip. Ah the cool sensation of the beverage was just the thing after that workout.
"Not a fan of grape. It tastes oddly like medicine." she said, getting a funny taste in her mouth just thinking about it.
