Looking at a few SUV's he was thinking of trying to swing one on his salary to have converted for X-Force, but he wasn't sure if he had the monetary means to do it. Yet, it would be a nice gift for Wisdom who put a lot of work into getting this team off the ground. Then again a few new members wouldn't be bad either mostly since they were still just Wisdom and himself on the roster.
Looking over he thought he heard something funny almost like a small crack in the pavement. Now that was something he was used to, but only when he caused it. Moving around he heard the voice that was in the nightmares of most of the mutant students at Xaviers.
"Halt Mutant"
Not worried about himself one little bit since he wasn't one he looked over and saw a little girl being stared down by two Sentinels. Oh joy this was going to be fun.
Closing his eyes he called forth the power of his ruby and felt his uniform pool over him. When the helmet formed he grinned at the guy next to him. "What the thing isn't talking to me, I ain't a mutant." Walking up was the girl was causing the cracks in the pavement? Well that could be interesting, it takes a bit of time, of which she didn't have a lot since the bots were about to blast, but it was an interesting talent. "Yo Tin-men, don't you know who I am?"
Punching his way through the leg of the first Sentinel he grinned as he hefted the thing and used it as a bat to knock into the second one. "I'm the Juggernaut Bitch."

This was seriously starting to annoy the former cadet. She went out to get her and Lucas something to eat while he took care of an errand and she’s been running from the damn robot since. It’d only been about ten minutes but that was it. The girl stopped and spun around as the giant robot landed. ”Halt Mutant.” God she hated those words. ”Oh this mutant is going to halt.” Sara lifted her foot all the way up and then slammed it down onto the ground. The ground shook and there was a large crack as the fissure erupted and raced towards the Sentinel.
Her head turned when the big man showed up. ”Holy shit…” The size of the guy was huge compared to her smaller frame. It wasn’t until he took on one that she noticed the other. ”Fucking hell…” She waited for it to land and right when it touched down the girl jumped and slammed her fist into the ground sending a bigger shockwave directly at it. She’d timed it so it hadn’t full found its balance. Thank God the thing came crashing down. Fortunately, Sara brought up a large block of stone to catch it before it hit. The girl dropped under the strain not taking into account how heavy the Sentinel was. The slab and Sentinel dropped and Sara wavered on one knee.

Tearing through the Sentinel that she had down, Cain started to see the strain it put on the girl to do the things she did. So he just tore the head off the other robot and looked back at her. Walking up slowly he scooped her up and started to walk away. Getting her to a safe spot so she could rest and rebuild her strength. "There gone Princess." He sat her down against the side of a building and went to a vending machine and got her a juice from it. Walking back he dropped to one knee and handed her the can. "Here sip this slowly." He checked her over for any scorch marks or singes but didn't see anything right off the get go, so he figured they hadn't had a chance to hit her yet. "Girl, were are your parents?"

Breathe Cadet, just breathe. The vision around the edges of her eyes were starting to blur and focus her into tunnel vision. She’d over extended herself and she knew it. Well she didn’t know it until just now since she’d never had to push that hard. It didn’t register that she was picked up or taken off. When she heard ‘princess’ she automatically responded. ”Cadet.” She absently took the can and sipped as she waited for her vision to clear. She’d be damned if she was going to black out. Lucas was going to freak enough finding out about those damn robots. Finally, she blinked up at the exceptionally huge man and was so glad he seemed to be one of the good guys. ”Mom’s fuck if I know. Dad’s in the military and told me to get the hell out for my own safety. I’m here with my boyfr…. My friend. He had to go run an errand and so did I.” Her eyes blinked several times as she tried to focus. ”Who are you and thanks.”

He smiled down to her and looked over his shoulder. "No need to thank me, it's kinda my job to protect mutants. Name is Juggernaut, and I'm part of a team called X-Force. We are working to help keep the world safe for both normals and mutants, but we tend to do things a bit naughty." He winked to let her know he wasn't going to threaten her.
Scooping her up he took off around a corner as a news van came flying around the corner. He knew they were cussing cause how hard should it be to find a ten feet tall guy and a girl. "Listen, your friend and you aren't going to be safe on the streets right now."

Sara looked up at the big man and listened to his little speech. She couldn’t stop the chuckle since it sounded like a modified recruitment speech. Lord knew she’d heard enough of them in her life being sixteen she wasn’t too far off from being able to join the military. There was a minor squeak when he picked her up so they could move. She wasn’t used to anyone, but Lucas now, really doing that to her. ”Yeah, kind of figured when those damn bots are running around ruining it for everyone.” Her head turned left and right and then looked back up at him. ”You can come back to the hotel if you want. Just tell everyone you’re my dad or…. Grandpa? Any, maybe you can tell me more about this X-Force. I know boyfr… My friend has been wanting to find something to settle into….” They were probably way to young but Lucas was right they really did to find a place to settle before it got so bad her dad couldn’t keep funding her.

He looked right at her and shook his head slowly. "Maybe, but how about we just get out of public view for a minute." He lead her to a spot that was blocked from view and turned around slowly. "X-Force is a new team of mutants trying to make the world a better place. The other major difference is we don't mind getting our hands a bit dirtier than the average team does." He winked to let her know that he was teasing, but not teasing as well.

Sara followed him and then leaned back against the building and listened. ”Team? Hm… You a recruiter or something?” She’d have to talk to Lucas about it if he was, but Lucas kept saying they needed to find a place to settle and she was always one to be part of a team. Bender also wasn’t afraid to go full bore unless someone stopped her. But she wouldn’t do it without Lucas if he said no she wouldn’t and if they said no she was out as well. Unfortunately, she was jumping the gun here and decided to wait to see if he was actually a recruiter or not before saying anything more.

Shaking his head he looked at her with a smile. "I guess you could say I'm a senior member, so yeah recruiting is part of the job. Don't mind getting your hands dirty we can get you an education, a roof over your head, and food in your belly. Plus, I won't let them look too funny at you if your friend and you are closer than most." He looked back and sighed as he watched another van go flying by. "Yeah X warned me there be days like this."

The girl nodded when he said he was a recruiter. Brown eyes were alert for thing coming at them and she looked up at him. ”Lucas has been saying we need to find a central location and headquarters… I don’t think either one of us is afraid to get our hands dirty. But I don’t think here is really the place to talk about it. Although I am highly interested.” She saw the van pass by and then looked up at him. ”I’ve missed you, grandpa.” Sara hugged his waist and then looked up at him. ”Now that we have that established let’s move out.” The cadet tone was back as she peeked around him and started through the alley heading back to the hotel.

Shocking was how fast this girl could switch from business to normal girl back to business. Oh he really could see this girl coming in handy and if her boyfriend was anything like her so would he. Looking back at the van he headed down the alley with her covering her retreat from anyone looking for the pair of them with his big back.
Once they had gotten to a safe location he looked over at her and tapped her shoulder. "Listen I can't talk about this much more here and now. Cause the rest of the school that I teach at and is the headquarters for the team doesn't really know about us, I'll be happy to fill you in if you agree to join up. You being military trained and all should understand the need to know thing."

sara turned and looked back at him as she realized she went into cadet mode. Lucas would either find this hilarious or get annoye she wasn't sure which. "Let me talk to my boyfr.... friend and I'll get back to you. He's the deal maker and breaker here. I'm not going to leave him behind if he doesn't want to do this." She'd just found him and she'd be damned if she was going to lose him already. "You got a card or something? I don't think he'll say no but I won't make any promises without talking to him first." It would give them both a home base like Lucas wanted and a team like she wanted.

He smiled at her thinking about that cause he didn't have a card or a cellphone for that matter, but had a bright idea. "You know that cafe a couple of blocks from here, the one with the big Penguin out front? I'll wait for you guys there, if you make up your mind before I" looking at his watch he looks up at her 'say 1600 you guys come there and let me know. Sounds fair?" He looked at her and chuckled a bit as he looked at her, god this girl would fit in well. At least he hoped she would.

Bender nodded to Cain. "Affirmative, sir. 1600 and we or I will be there with the answer of affirmative or negative." Oh she was glad that Lucas wasn't here right now, he didn't particularly care for her slipping into cadet mode. But at least she had a reason to right? The possibility of finding them a home base and they'd be doing things she understood. "I'm going to go find him and fill him in. I'll meet you back there." She kind of hoped Lucas said yes it would give them both a home and that's what they were wanting and it would give her a secondary purpose. Although she felt bad because she knew that Lucas would do everything he could to make sure she snapped back out of Cadet mode. What if he got tired of that? What if he found someone else? Then she'd step back and let him be happy and throw herself into her work.

Looking at her he smiled softly as he patted her shoulder. "You do that okay. I'll be waiting." He headed off down the block and then stops with an idea, marking a place that looked like a nice place to grab some dinner if she came with a good answer he saved it away. Sitting down at a funky booth he ordered himself a pot of coffee and sat back waiting. No thought of being turned down in his head since this is what he had to be confident.
